Review - GreenCross
(Version February 26th 2025)
Synopsis: GreenCross is a Ashenvale themed melee map for two players. While it functions as a melee it does not currently meet the standard melee quality level required.
Map Aesthetics: The terrain looks rather barren and empty due to lack of tile variation and utilization of decorative props and environmental objects. Please take a look at other melee maps (preferably other ones using Ashenvale tileset) to get ann idea on how you could work to improve your map. Also, the empty hill-tops are a no-no in proper melee as they allow placement of units ontop of them which is typically very undesirable.
Map Layout: The starting locations are too close to one another without any obstacles in-between. This enables unhealthy strategies such as Human rush, making the map unbalanced. While something like this can be approved (with good argumentation) the other aspects of the map must be top-notch.
Neutral Objectives: Creep camp strength and placement needs work. Take a look at other melee maps or check some tutorials to get an idea on how to implement creep camps correctly into melee gameplay. Most creep camps should be on the "Camp" mode and they should be (mostly) easily accessible (physically).
Map Gameplay: Does not meet standard melee criteria.

Comment: Does not meet standard melee criteria. It might be a good idea to check other melee maps to 'study' how things are done on those and try to mimic it, once you grasp the basics, try again to make your own melee map. Set as Lacking.
