Inspired by Harald Oesterle's artwork I decided to try and create the interior of a mage tower/shop. There is no gnome in here yet, I will add one when I'm done with the rest of it.

This terrain is in wip phase, and I know is far under the level of perfection, so I gladly welcome any suggestions on how to improve it. You have the stage now, people, I'm listening.

EDIT: The final pictures are done. Check em' out:

A view from the top of the tower. Don't ask how I climbed up there...

Another bird-eye view, this time a bit closer to the ground.

We're in the danger perimeter now...

The angle is cool, and this is pretty good overall. A unit would help for sure. And as Craka said you could add a generic fog. Maybe a pale yellow for light, and make it seem dark outside? It would be hard. Or other way around, dark inside light outside?

Ah ladders. At first I thought of adding some, yet I'm going for this feeling, that the mage can summon anything with ease, hence why I am making a tall tower for a gnome.

Craka, I will add the fog when I am done with the doodad placement. The dark fog inside idea is good, Gilles.

And, yes I will put in books, I just have a nicer idea than simply letting them sit on those dusty shelves.

EDIT: Worked on it and uploaded new screens.

Not sure I like the floating books. I also can't decide on the waterfall. It looks kind of cool, but maybe you should add more magical things.

I like the new fog a lot. The waterfall only looks out of place because it's the only magical thing. Maybe if there were more runes and other magical occurrences it would look good. Maybe not though.

The problem with ladders is:
1: it aint magical, even if there were ladders, the warlock would prob levitate himself up
2: theres no real ladder dood as far as i know (otherwise send it to me, i need one :) )
3: making a ladder out of custom doodads, is a waste of the doodad limit.

perhaps someone needs to model a ladder

haha, make it that the audience is the camera, and is sorta like a spying camera, and it zooms in like your pictures and he sees us and "Oh no, He Saw US!" then he tries to destroy the "camera" and the camera desparately tries to get out going upwards as the warlock levitates toward casting various spells missing and the tower just keeps going up and up and up and up XD with some suspensful music

I still haven't seen any updates on that Sparta map! But lets leave that in that thread.

Anyway, I don't think it'd be that hard to turn this into a cinematic. All you'd need to do is trigger it and make a lot more to the terrain to make the cinematic longer and more worth-while.
