StorySet in a world of phasing hatred, lies silent darkness crawling to the surfaces like a sleepless serpent. They morrow deep beneath earth, they are underground forces of anarchy waiting for a master to bring them living power. Each bright day of humans they suffer purification – when the joyful choirs of church sing, the laughing joy of tavern folk chime, and the peaceful winds blow above their underground domain. They wait patiently knowing every moment of suffering empowers their hunger for mortal living. Their joy is a piece of flesh or the soul of mortal devoured like an hourly fresh meal. Their hours have now come, when a true master arise them from the prison of suffering. This true master Lord Silithus knows more than enough about the legendary creatures of the depths. He engage his time in Quel’thalas Arcane Annals reading books about the holy crusade against them Dark Leed’ons. It is said that the only way to bring the undying creatures of Leed’ons is through the powers of Necromancy. So he traveled during the Reign of Chaos to a place far in the Outlands on another dimension, searching for a true Necromancer. The Black Citadel captured him and almost executed him knowing Humans are an enemy, but they acknowledged him after hearing him say, “I’m nor human or undead, I’m a living defiler, foreigner, seeking for knowledge that defiles birth.” The Black Citadel overlord became suspicious of Silithus’s being. He asked Silithus,
“Who are you stranger? You don’t smell like a rotting human, you come from the Damned Brotherhoods?”
“I may look human dark one, but my purpose serves your purpose.”
“You’re the Damned ones?”
“Yes… I’m the last of the Damned Mages, the Darknic Cult.” He said it with embraced words shocking others of the Executors.
“Blasted have I not believed in such myself, but now in front of my eyes it lies!” He said with a gulp in his throat continuing, “We admire your kind, dark one, your Cult’s presence is a true gift to the Undead long ago and we shall serve you well again. Bar’Khatush! Show him to Nerzhul’s domain…”
Lord Silithus continued with Bar’Khatush approaching a large portal leading to the domains of the Damned Temple. He entered the portal, light grows around him and as it fades away he realizes himself in a new place, a hall with greenish glowing runes in the sidewalks. As he walks, a person speaks,
“What human bravely entered my domain? Ah, I see a defiler… Speak up!”
“Your highness, brother to a brother, I speak on behalf of Darknic. Not long ago we are spotted by their intelligence, the Azerothian mages found out our activity on board. “
“What happened to Feanor? Where is he? I’ve employed him yet he failed his task!”
“Your highness, Lord Feanor fell, but his will can succeed through me. I’ve heard the Azerothian Magic Cult discovered a secret, a spell book, a long possession we’ve been looking for in decades.”
“You mean the book of Awakening? The possession of the old God, Chit’thun?”
“Yes, they’ve found it, kept secret; a Wizard named Julia has it in her guard. But milord she is powerful and no undead can pass the Damned Portal unless…in disguise, use me milord! Give me the power of Necromancy and I will unleash the undead suffering in the depths of Earth.”
“I shall forth teach you, but you must bring this book back, I shall have four wraiths under your watch. Do not cheat me, human.”
Afterwards, the Necromancer taught Silithus Necromancy. Long after he masters the powers, he traveled back through the Damned Portal. His prior target is the highlands of North’thel the Arcane dwelling of the Azerothian Magic Cult. He awakens the deep creatures of Undead below earth with his new powers of Necromancy. He uses the Nightmare spell, a cast which blights an area corrupting each soul to convert into the Leedon forces. Using the Nightmare spell he also cast a disease which infects any inhabitant to become an undead in three days. The knowledge of Necromancy said that once an area is blighted with any death disease, those of the undead can live out from the undergrounds. So on, he casts the spell in the regions of North’thel and corrupts all that lives in it. The Azerothian Magic Cult vanished before this, but Silithus is aware already of their far sight ability, forth he unleashes the five kings of Spirit Overhaul to kidnap all the members of the Azerothian Magic Cult. The Spirit Overhaul are masters of haunting, like many ghosts, they know nothing of fear and they sense fear itself. Their mission is but a simple cut of twig - all the members are kidnapped and brought into the lands of Ziggurat ruins, their soul absorbed into the Orb of Soul Reverence, which each Overhaul Spirits carry for their mission. One member however, a Wizard named Logathar survived and escaped to the king’s land of Lordaeron, the promising fertile of hope. He reported the ill news and tragedy of what happened in the Northern lands to the King. Hearing this news King Arthemus decides to cleanse the land of ghosts, the scourged and vile places of North’thel. He sends a dispatch to search for brave heroes who are brave and strong enough to face the fear and darkness. None can withstand the undying forces; few convert into the living dead. When one final dispatch was sent, king Arthemus recruited a weird and interesting team, a team that they label as GEAR squadron. They are fascinating; they are the combination of a force which masters the art of Magic and Machinery. They are known to Northlanders the Longblum Beards and Pricks. But the demonstration of their skills amazed the king that without doubt he sends them to North’thel and Ziggurat. As they proceed with their mission, rumors spread of their success. They pushed the corruption with strength and bravery. Blindly they are going too far but close towards rescuing the Azerothian mages and Julia. They encountered Lord Silithus, debris before their one step to completion. Lord Silithus played his riddling spells of Necromancy within the GEAR squadron. By nightfall he entered the minds of each of them in their dreams. All of them are the obvious silliness of dwarf’s greed and goblins foulness but when he entered the dream of one squad member named Zul’rajas who plays a role as a Witch Doctor in the squad, he sense a tame. Astonished Lord Silithus is as Zul’rajas himself counter played the Necromancy trick and replied to Lord Silithus telepathically.
“Brother to a brother, I am the forgotten one, I use to be like you dark one.” said Zul’rajas in his telepathic conversation with Lord Silithus.
“You are my key. I can see your dark powers but not enough to defeat me. I will give you this power if you can help me break your team. I’ve foreseen their future! They are like Crows, the death bringer of me! Make them fight each other and I will reward you.”
Forth Zul’rajas unnoticed by the Dwarven members of the GEAR squad planned a decisive attack that will strike all. But before this could succeed Zul’rajas, Gamling Sharpeye, leader of the GEAR squadron already knows of this movement, he sees Zul’rajas a new villain behind his back. Before nightfall Gamling Sharpeye warned his men and they all escape to a hidden spot in the forest where Zul’rajas and his companions cannot locate. Their mission is now at stake as the team split apart and wage battle within each other amongst the ruins of death.
