It's still technically a WIP since I havn't finished the gloves and sword yet. Anyways lemme know what you think. I don't have a name for him lol.

Even if there are already lots of Details in it, i think the armor looks very plain somehow.
And, i think you already noticed that, the hand goes trough the shield o_O

Very monotone, put in some other colors. Also I don't like how your shading has 'levels.' You need to smooth that out. Right now it looks like you put down a shade then smudge it out a little. Try to stay away from the smudge tool seeing as you get results like this. Look at TDR's tutorial on how to blend with the paint brush tool.

Using a small brush to highlight and darken the outlines was a good touch, but it is still very blurry.

I don't use smudge and I'm not as experienced as you guys so I wouldn't know how to impliment the sand and runes (and such.) This is my 4th ever skin and I'm still learning.

Anyone know how to remove those annoying colors on the shoulder pads/sheild/shin armor?

Edit: I can't find a way to edit the footman's "sheild glove." I've made a few changes too. Tell me what you think.

Someone else can probably tell you this better, but team colour (the colours on the shoulder pads/shield etc) is stored in the Alpha channel. If you are working in RGB, there should be four channels to the skin: Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha. If you look on the Alpha channel, there will be a black section where things like the shield and stuff are on the other channels, white out the black bits where the team colour is showing up to remove it.
