    It seems many people don't like chat-shortcuts, don't know what they mean, it's annoying for some to read them. In this post i will tell you what most of the shortcuts mean, so that you can always look at it to *translate* them. I hope this post is usefull for the one or other member:

    Here are the shortcuts:

    r = aRe
    u = you
    4 = for (usually, sometimes it means the number too, depends on following text)
    2 = to (mostly used as *to*, sometimes used for the number though, rarely used as *too*)
    wtf = What The F*ck (not always meaned as harrassment, usually expresses wondering/surprise)
    omg = Oh My God
    np = No Problem
    asap = As Soon As Possible
    omw = On My Way
    stfu = Shut The F*ck Up (not used for good purposes)
    brb = Be Right Back
    g2g = Got To Go
    lol = Laugh Out Loudly (well-known)
    rofl = Roll On Floor Laughing (also well-known)
    nvm = NeVer Mind
    bb = Bye-Bye
    kk = o.k. (kinda another meaning for O.K.)
    cwl/cewl = cool (very rarely used)
    gj = Good Job
    inc = INComing (shouldn't be used on THW)
    @ = at
    w8 = Wait
    anim8 = animate (there is a program called anim8or that's written EXACTLY like that, so keep it in mind to avoid being confused)
    sk8 = skate (--> skate-board, not likely to be found on THW)
    b = be (not the sexual related term)
    m8 = mate (like fellow, calss-mate)
    afk = Away From Keyboard
    dnd = Do Not Disturb
    hlp = HeLP

    They are not all of the existing short-cuts. I will update as soon as i get more!
    Hope they are usefull/helpfull for you guys!

    Maybe useful to someone totally new to the internet. : |

    But seriously, most of that shit is obvious and requires common sense. I don't like reading such shortenings, but it doesn't mean I don't know what they mean. >_>

    And yeah... I don't really see a use for this on the Hive to be honest.

    Lolwut

    I did not know that "be" had a sexual meaning, but I suppose you're meaning bi which has no connection whatsoever to be;

    Also, I find this list quite useless as most people know what they mean; if you don't know what it means you have google. I don't like using them either.

    Bitch, bastard, boobs or /b/.

    All are related to sex, but I don't know what he was getting at either.

    Exactly whats the use of this again?
    I'm quite positive that little children know what they all mean these days.
