Map Info:

In general, this is the "Castle Defense" (and it better than you might expect!)

Play as one of 4 defenders and protect your fortress at any cost. Use traps, walls, towers and creature-summoning buildings to build your perfect defense.
Each of the heroes has its own set of buildings and unique upgrades, so team play is highly recommended!

Don't forget to build temples in places of power(sacred moon place) to get MORE INCOME.

What are you waiting for? Go ahead, bosses with random skills and highly intelligent enemy AI are already waiting! Try to beat level 40 Boss)

Conflict History:

The gods become stronger with each new source of faith in them. Two goddesses together use forces to create a world which will bring them more faith energy.

Alzarrah is a world created by the goddesses Ethana and Kauno, who wanted to increase their divine power.

This world was beautiful, but the most beautiful in it were Alutri - the firstborn race in which almost all the power of the goddesses was invested. They possessed almost unlimited potential and glorified "Divine Sisters" who created them.

The remaining forces were directed towards the creation of other beings, who inhabited the new world. But they did not turn out as perfect as Alutri and did not attract the strong influence of the goddesses. Time passed, but the flow of faith only weakened. Alutri, who possessed almost divine ability, have learned the joy of creativity and paid less and less time to prayers and faith.

This worried Ethana, who decided, despite their agreement with Kauno, to intervene in the affairs of their creation. Secretly she began to manipulate Alutri and inspire them with the ideas of a new world.

This was followed by the beginning of a great schism. Alutri, who were brothers from birth, gradually began to be divided into two opposite groups: - Farkai, Priests of Ethana (they believe that they are the greatest race) - are driven by ideas of power and hierarchy. And Marloa, the Kauno Children, who wanted to better understand themselves and live in divine harmony.

Over time, Ethana began to possess Alutri women, and perform miracles in the name of Ethana.

Structure of the new religion was formed. The main person of Farkai religion became Pythia - the divine prophetess, who expressed the will of the goddess. Also was formed the council of the priests transmitting this will to the people.

Gradually appear opponents of the new order.

In contrast to the worshipers of Ethane, they worshiped only Kauno. They called themselves Marloa – “forest children’s”.

Marloa left the cities and went into the vast forest expanses. All this time Kauno did not participate in the event, she was more interested in the new intelligent race, which took the first steps in mastering the energy of faith.

This race named themself Urbi. Small cute and hard-working creatures living near the mountains. Kauno, was so carried away by watching them that she did not even notice the changes that had taken place with Alutri.

But the change of faith energy was noticed by Etana, who began to observe Kauno, and found Urbi. She liked the new toy of her sister.

And one day, new pythia received a message from the goddess. Priests was very surprised and excited by her message that the goddess had created for them, a race of lower beings who would submit to them. So were found Urbi.

They did not resist and, in general, their joining the Farkai tribe was not bloody. After this, was formed Farkai Empire with priests and pythia at the head. Other Farkai was assigned the role of rulers of various cities and military aristocracy. Urbi was given the modest role of workers and pets. After that, Ethana received a strong influx of faith.

Time passed, the empire expanded, increasing and occupying the surrounding territories. Marloa constantly had to leave their home after every deforestation. Kauno watched silently, still not believing in what is happening.

Gradually Marloa moved to the very edge of the great forest that covered the whole earth. New generations did not understand the desires of their ancestors. From the constant flight they lost a sense of peace and tranquility. Their hearts became stiff and cold and some of them began to express their dissatisfaction with their current situation. They started looking for Kauno in the hope that she would show them the way.

And one day she appeared to all elders in a dream. She said that the rotten and terrible empire of Moonlight is growing and they need to destroy it, or go away into history.

Thus began the first fratricidal war.

The map thread has no tag. I guess Tower Defense is what you need. The terrain look is minimal doodads, terrain height, tile variation and all. Doesn't Garzu already have blink when you click to move the unit? Why learn Blink as a spell too...

Played the TD version with a friend
looking good at start but starting to get "boring" later at least in TD version
Also the wave starting sound IS TOO annoying and loud literally me and my friend was complaining more on sound than anything else on the map
it was funny how loud it is at start but because its plays too much we start to hate it very much ofc we can turn of the sound in warcraft setting but i prefer something like command in game or something like that

Sup~~

I played on the latest version of Deforged with classic graphics.

Did a play test solo and I eventually died after 39 minutes, too many mobs...

After that, I played the TD "version" which is the same map but slightly better lol.
The TD version has items to buy for the hero and the enemy waves have more unique mobs.

Not sure why there are 2 versions of the same map, to me the TD version is just the same map but better.


~Negatives

- The range of towers is a bit too small, and because of that, they don't help the units that much in the defense, also while the units can revive when they are killed the towers don't so yeah.

- no repair function?

- We don't have information about our current level at any time. It would be helpful to have it displayed in a corner.

- Heretic towers and altars of power don't have a sell option. (in the non-td version)

- I enjoyed seeing bosses come by occasionally and they drop tomes too when they die but I would have loved for them to appear more frequently and drop items as well, in addition to tomes.

- The spell from the Castle, "All warriors return to their starting positions," is glitched. When I use it, all units gather in the middle and become afk, leaving the outskirts, including the gold mines and towers, vulnerable and unprotected. This is a serious issue.



The map concept is cool, I like it, but it lacks some crucial things to make it better:

- The biggest problem with the map is the lack of things to use gold for, There isn't much to do with the money after I upgraded all the buildings and did all the upgrades from the castle, and because of that I ended up dying with 10k gold

- There needs to be a shop for the hero to buy cool items. (there is one in the TD version which is nice)

- Another big issue, The heroes get to max lvl too fast, just in a few rounds and then they stay at max lvl for the entire game... super lame, the lvl cap should be increased to lvl 50 or lvl 100, and u can add the attribute bonus stats as a spell, and also increase the hero's spells to be lvl 10 max each.

- There need to be more upgrades to increase the food especially when playing solo.

- There needs to be a way to repair buildings.

-I noticed that some upgrades were inaccessible because I did not have the other 3 heroes. That's kind of disappointing, to be honest. Limiting the upgrades of the buildings based on which hero I have is a bad idea, as it takes away from the gameplay. It's important to never implement functions that take away fun aspects from the player.

- I'd like to see more upgrades for the spawning buildings and towers. Currently, most of them only have 2 or 3 upgrades, and I think it would be great to see them evolve further, becoming even stronger and more epic characters and towers.



My rating for this map is an 𝓢 Tier with 90 out of 100 points!
I genuinely enjoyed the gameplay, and I appreciate the fact that the map can be played and completed solo, bonus points for that! :infl_thumbs_up:

the TD version is PVE
the original version is designed to played PVP 4 player as assault and 4 player as defense ( i may be wrong idk )

And PvP, if all players play for the attackers.
TD version is more refined, because the main idea of asymmetric warfare (some build units as Holy War players, others play TD + Hero Defence) was less in demand and people often just played TD mode.

It was originally planned that the towers would protect buildings, and the unit spawners would fight the enemy.

- no repair function?
Grumpy(right bottom hero) has buildings for restoring health to units and mechanisms.
- We don't have information about our current level at any time. It would be helpful to have it displayed in a corner.

- Heretic towers and altars of power don't have a sell option. (in the non-td version)

I'll try to add some fixes at next version.

Warcraft has been updating so often, breaking everything that worked well. That I don't have time to fix)
1.26 - was the longest era of stability for all custom maps.
