Surprisingly, I don't see a topic on Ebaums world. So I just thought I'd drop by even if I'm not supposed to be here (ssshhh...).

By now everyone should know ebaumsworld is known for hosting humorous images, flash animations, and pranks for the internet. Unfortunately, they cross the border lines whenever they claim to host the media.

Apparently, ebuamsworld hides behind their "submissions" trick claiming that none of the content is stolen and research is done on the origins. The truth is most times the media is ripped off another website and at the same time profit from it.
I've heard claims that many times ebaums should be credited for hosting the media. Unfortunately, I would like to disprove that statement.
First, ebaums takes claim of the media as its own usually with the "This image is hosted by Ebaumsworld.com" wet label.
Second, their stealing does violate copyright protection. Ebaums profit from the content whereas the original author doesn't. Nor have they been credited in anyway.
Third, ebaums has done malicious coding. Entering their website creates windows linking to Something Awful (http://www.somethingawful.com/) and wasting their bandwith. This only makes the admin to pay for more. Unfortunately, it's so invisible that the issue can't be brought up.
Fourth, note that the company has its team of lawyers to protect theirselves. When Something Awful tried to attack them, ebaums responded saying they would look like bullies.
I just happened to log on to YTMND (http://www.ytmnd.com/) to hear a forum raid on ebaums. With help from a few other sites, the ebaums forums were shut down for several hours and more threats were filed against him.
While the YTMND adminstration tried to help investigate in the event, ebaums only insults him more.

I'm done for now. Resources to further explain.

Feel free to argue/support my points further. Just make sure all are posted with maturity.
