Yeah the textures are supposed to be affected by lighting I think but classic doesn't support that.
It's not that, the portrait has all the textures flagged as 'Unshaded' which makes any surface using that texture unaffected by lighting. It's a common 'cheat' when porting a model to hide any Normals being messed up during conversion. Generally you only really want 'Unshaded' on the Team color texture for Hero and Portrait Glows.
 
Please fix:
-Both models have an unused material.
-Change the teamcolored materials' top layer filter mode from Transparent to Blend (both models)
-Add collision shape(s) (main model)
-Remove the Unshaded flags from the Portrait's materials
-Change the portrait background texture from Replaceable ID 1 to 2

Edit:
-Consider adding some particle emitters like the SD model. Don't know if the Reforged version (before conversion) has any particles, so maybe it's not meant to have any, but thought I'd mention it
-Try to recalculate normals (under Edit in Retera's or CTRL+N) and see if it looks better (both models)
