I was wondering what the big problem with it is. Is it just because it is annoying or what? This is something I've had some problems adapting to, do to the fact that where i come from i was rewarded my place in the hall of fame for posting 10,000 posts in less then one hour. By the way do we have a hall of fame in this place? If not i think It's a cool thing we could use. (Not like I'm going to do any funny busyness trying to get myself in there, i was just bored, think It's a kind of cool idea.)

1) It's annoying as hell.

2) We have an edit button for a reason, double posting just shows that you're too lazy to use it.

3) You must have been spamming the living shit out of those boards to get 10 thousand posts in less than an hour. I've been around for over 2 years and have yet to even hit nine thousand. Know why? BECAUSE I DON'T POST SHIT.

Here on the Hive, we value quality over quantity. This means that spam is not tolerated on any level, and on top of that, long constructive posts that actually add to the discussion are instantly favoured over one-line bullshit excuses for a post.

We don't have a Hall of Fame. If we did, it would be for those of exceptional modding skill, not those who can post the most in an hour.

Hope this answers your question,

Brad.

Well yeah i understand, but i don't think that we should have it for people who posted the posted the garbage out of a question, i never even said what should be in it. top one hundred highest reputation, anything, but outstanding modelers would be cool to. I mean you may as well reward those people who go the extra mile, and spend more time perfecting there things for others. You know, show them that we appreciate it

Approaching circular logic, often times, people find these things annoying, strictly because the rules forbid them.

I wouldn't punish double posting, but I'd encourage use of the edit feature.

But necroposting, yeah, I agree with Mechanical Man, so a thread has been posted in, does it bother you that much that the thread has a bold title again?

More than double post I don't get it is why is reviving old threads so annyoing. This is one of few forums I visit where they don't like it.
Not in all threads is necro-posting forbidden. But it's ridiculous to revive a thread, for example, in the World Editor Help Zone. The reasons are obvious.

As per double-posting, it's annoying and unnecessary. A script to detect the owner (and perhaps time) of the last post everytime you post a reply would be the solution, but you probably have to mess with vB for that.

What Rui said. Necro posting is only looked down upon when you add absolutely nothing to the discussion, or you bring up a topic better left dead (although these topics should have been closed anyways). For example in terrain I would never punish someone for posting in an old gallery, in fact it's nice to see some of the old work brought back.

I'm putting them in bold? I'm only capitalizing the title. and why don't you believe me? you just need fast fingers. theres a trick to it, maybe I'll tell you if you want.

Vampiro this topic is really irrelevant. 10,000 posts in an hour is impossible as Ralle said, and you should know that double posting is wrong, there is no reason to double post or use caps lock. All are just simple and annoying methods of drawing attention.

Whenever i look at it it is smaller then the others. I Only See Capitals Place Where They Should Be In A Title.

I copy the title, and i past it here.
Double posting
Is that what you are all seeing, or is my computer going weird?

And here is my story, if you don't believe me, I can give you a link. There may not be any proof that it was done in a single hour, but there sure are that many posts there.

How to make 10,000 posts

It's not the same here as it is where i come from, but back there you have a title, and the question. Even for answers; And if you press enter while you are in the title it posts for you. So If you hold enter, and keep pressing the stop loading page button as fast as you can it posts real quick. so if you can click 3 times in a second, you can post three times in a second.
If there are any more objection i will post the place.

Don't want to sound mean, but back then we didn't care. We'd make questions/threads simple for things like that, because we were board.

A What? I'd rather there be no comments about my buddies. I never meant for this to even be a topic, i was just wondering what was the matter, i mean it is just one extra post is that really a big problem?

-.- Usually I'm on the right side, there's no use in working for a lost cause. I probably said something wrong with this place. It's just hard getting used to. I promise I'll think twice before i say anything else.

Sorry everyone.

I don't understand what you said, but okay. Thanks for the direct answer, and again sorry; i never meant any trouble. One other thing, whats up with all my titles? Sometimes they are bold, sometimes they are normal, and sometime they are normal, and half their normal size. Whats up with that cause i like the small one...Wait we are a professional community?
Wow, I'll think three times before i post.

10,000 posts an hour is perfectly possible. It however is not humanly possible.

A decent PC with decent internet could easily order 3 posts of minimal post length to different forums per second via a bot. However this would be concidered mass spamming and is heavilly frowned appon by almost every community as it slows the site down by hogging recources and annoys everyone. I think he meant he made 10,000 posts on a forum once (per hour was wrong word).
