Doodad Glitch???

Ok i opened the doodad Sign in mangos model editor and i exported the skin from the Texture manager but it has all kinds of diferent doodad skins on it i changed the One that looks like the sign to complete red and i reload it in to the texture manager and change the material to the new skin and it doesnt come up properly it remains the same ?????
