Does "SetGameSpeed" work for battle.net games?

I know that battle.net games default to MAP_SPEED_FASTEST and the user can't change the speed in-game, but does anyone know if you can change the speed via the native "SetGameSpeed"?

I don't think it has any effect for multiplayer games really even if it is set. You could try testing online and printing the result from GetGameSpeed().

I tried over LAN, the game speed can be modified, but I can't test it on battle.net. Someone who I shared my CD key with a few years ago has apparently done something naughty as it says my CD key is "disabled" when I try to access battle.net.
