Does +aspd upgrade affect future attack2 activation

Crossbowman gets upgraded with Repeater Crossbows, gains 15% attack speed,
later he gets upgraded with Double-Bolt Design, allowing him to strike 2 targets at once, this is done over activating attack 2.
Now will previously researched Repeater upgrade take effect on newly activated attack 2 ?
Asking for i will simply manually adjust the attack cd of attack 2 if its not.

I think it carries over, since the attack speed is simply increased on the current Attack Index.
