I'm watching Misfits, just started the 1st season, Nathan rocks! :)))

Enjoy it while it lasts- the actor that plays him is just as big a wanker as his character and leaves the show after series 2 because his ego gets too big and he thinks he can be in movies. Fucking idiot. Now everyone's left the show, it's gonna get cancelled next season, and he hasn't starred in jack shit since.

Personally, I considered Misfits to be shit from episode 2 and I watched another two just to make sure that it really was shit.. and yes, it is, was, whichever fits better.

Seriously, nothing about the characters or their backstory really makes them interesting. An insecure jokester who gets invincible (the "wanker" who leaves), who insults anyone he comes across. He's being thrown out of his house and becomes homeless. Then there's famous runner who gets caught doing drugs, which causes them to punish him extra hard, because he's famous, which in itself is retarded, he gets the ability to turn back time, no one knows why. Then there's the strange woman with the dialect so annoying, that I wish she could've really died in episode 1 like she did in the alternative timeline, she can read minds. Then there's the slutty runner groupie, who gets seduction powers and finally, there's the awkward loner/pervert who gains invisibility.

The humor is strange as fuck. I mean, the main character guy has sex with a woman and suddenly, she morphs into an old woman, in the middle of an orgasm. That's just gross, not funny.
So, to make a long story short, uninteresting characters, low budget, jokes are tasteless and not actually funny. Terrible show.

Highly Recommended: The way they finally realized the fail they had put on the Bond franchise and now have pulled out of the dirt again with the movie Skyfall, it does what they intended with the others without losing the charm of Bond, something which they failed miserable at with the first two Blond bond movies.

So I can definitely recommend this, and take this from a guy who hated Daniel with a passion as Bond, who have now changed his views given the new one.. not that it saves the other two previous disasters, but it does redeem Daniel Craig as Bond.

On the other hand:
Djanco: Perfect for what it is, Tarrantino, Western and Guns - what more to say.

Bourne Legacy: Odd little movie, I liked it, but the end was a small disappointment for me.

I think probably the best series are:

Rome
Stargate
Battlestar Galactica
Hell's Kitchen

Stargate seriously...?
20 crappy episodes - interesting season finale, another 20 crappy episodes - another finale like the last...and that for how much I can't remember anymore 10 seasons or 12?

I do agree on the others, however Hell's Kitchen is too edited and cut-framed and misleads the viewers on the situations all the time.

To Battlestar Galactica which took quite a lot of awards and Rome, I would add some House M.D. , Monk and the oldschool classics with the main character being Jessica Fletcher ( the name of the show I do not remember sadly). I won't be adding Game of Thrones due to the lack of content developing in 6 out of the 10-12 episodes they call a Season(being pretty much the same in the books, with some exceptions). The latest season of The Walking Dead is the most succesful in my opinion also.

Edhel-Dur I am also watching Grey's Anatomy for quite a while (since I am a medical shows' fan). Being to season 8 now I make some conclusions:

- The main characters (both men and women) sleep with pretty much everyone and a few times with each other.
- The characters which contracts with the producers of Grey's Anatomy end usually die at the end of the season. (like 80% of them, the death rate of Game of Thrones main characters)
- They keep having sex with each other some more
- The new guys become friends and family on the same day they meet the old guys. Ofcorse they all have sex then to seal the deal.
Overral I am dissapointed from this show, but that is perhaps because I preffered House's psychological humor than Grey's constant drama. Still gonna watch all 9 seasons tho lol

I watch Stargate too, but agree it's not all that interesting, it has no replay value at all after the first watch. I'm watching season 8 or 9 (not sure which), I find the powers of the priors kinda lame, the whole telekinesis thing and personal mind shield is unrealistic. This last episode they found an unfounded and not very credible way of countering the priors' powers through some sort of ultrasonic wave thing. How the guys at the SGC would counter such a threat was an interesting question in the first place, but of course I should have guessed it'd turn out like this. I did like Teal'C's profound speech to Gerak though.

House M.D. all the way.

Gojira2000

Gojira2000

The only good stargate was the original movie with Kurt Russel and it was actually pretty good the rest is crap.

And does any one here like any of Ralph Bakshi's movies (specifically Wizards and Lord of the Rings)?

White Collar is cheesy, predictable and extraordinarily
simple for giving off the impression of being a complex show.
- And I can't get enough of it.

I reckon that's due lack of anything else to watch,
what with my other series being "ongoing"... >.>

Haha, true - still it works. But yea - amazing what one watches while waiting.

I recently finished watching the Spartacus series. It transitions from a gladiator kind of series into a "war for freedom" kind of thing. It's really great. If you loved the Rome series, then you'll love this even more.

Actually, Rome is my favorite series among all existing, but I didn't even finish Spartacus. To my taste there is too much fighting and porn and not that much acting.
In Rome pretty much every actor was a spot on. The one playing Mark Antony, the Cleopatra actress, the Titus Pullo one... Man, they are amazing! I have some acting experience and, when they are playing, I just cannot sit still im my chair and have to move as well. :ogre_hurrhurr:

simple for giving off the impression of being a complex show.

I am going to have to partially retract this statement.
After having watched seasons two and three I've realized
just how much potential this show has. And additionally after
having seen the ending of season three I have a fleeting
suspicion this show kind of snuck it's way up and into my
top three favorite series thus far in my life.

Sure, it's occasionally cheesy still, but what's not a good cheese cake from time to time,
I reckon to a certain degree it all comes down to how much cheese you can take, I won't
say there's cheesiness in over abundance to this show, but if you hate cheese, I'd say
there's still not too much served.

I spend the nights, tossing and turning
My stomach is churning
My heart is a-burning
My nightmares are turning upon me and shame me
To drive me insane, oh the pain, I complain on my brain
And I wake up, with sweat on my brow
I know I gotta give it up and I must do it now
But instead in the morning when my wife is gone
I find myself back on cheeseworld.com

I won't still claim that it's a simple show,
though at times somewhat predictable, but
then there's always some merit in feeling you
outwit the characters in the show, as long as
it's not all the time.

White Collar, to me (and now), is a fantastic show about a con artist
(or more precisely a "White Collar Criminal") that's let out of prison on
condition to aid the FBI White Collar division catching his own kind.
It provides great acting, likable characters and both fun and creative intrigues,
at some points plots that's plain out genius. As the show develops from season
one through seasons two and three, the plots thicken, the characters become
more diverse and you come to love both Neal Caffrey, the con artist, and his
agent leech holder Peter Burke, it's fascinating to see how Neal always struggles
with the lure to perform crimes he's but too good at and still feeling affection
toward the people he's come to know and care for throughout the series,
his personal battle is probably one of the most interesting parts of this series.

As a summary, I'd say White Collar is a great crime/drama TV series
with a hint of Oceans 11's style, and just enough cheese and predictability
to get around it. If you like shows like "The Mentalist" and "Sherlock"
or similar movies and shows, you're likely to like this too, just remember:
- It get's better than the first season, much better.

Watched Mad Max and MM2 recently. Well, the second is kinda epic. The first is not just for everyone.

I watched the first one, I got bored of the budget action while I'm aware of it, the story lacks focus imo.
Well, since you said the MM2 was epic, I was thinking giving it another try.

You guys should watch "Falling Skies". I haven't watched the first season but it is really intresting!

I've watched the first season, it was great though I stop watching after the 4 episodes from Season 2, don't remember why I stopped.

LotR still stand as my favorite movies.

After that it's tough to say. I love lots of movies, and my mood drastically changes what movies I want to watch.
