Dawn of Crimson - Requiem
An advanced AoS-style map.
I created this map 3 years ago and it's been lying on my harddrive dusting away for a year, so I figured I might upload it here so I can bury it in peace. It started out as a test map while I was experimenting with triggering and stuff and when I started figuring out how stuff works, I had already created so much that I figured out I might finish it.
I'm not too happy with how it turned out, so that's why I created a sequel,
Dawn of Crimson 2 - Rise of the Crimson Sun, I'd rather recommend playing that one, but to fully understand the background story, you have to give this a try too (if you don't care about the story, which I doubt most people do, I recommend going straight for RotCS).
Features:
- AoS-style map with up to 6 vs 6 players.
- Unique heroes with their own themes.
- All spells and abilities are custom and triggered from scratch.
- No simple click to damage abilities.
- An Observatory to always keep an area under surveillance (can be moved).
- Rebalance teams if leavers makes it uneven.
- Free the Creep Commander to give your creeps a small advantage. Beware, though, if he gets killed, they gets a huge disadvantage for a short period.
- Whenever an enemy hero dies, allied creeps gets a morale boost, giving them a small bonus for a short peroid.
- Weather System: Every now and then a weather effect may appear, giving a small bonus or penalty to everyone on the map for a short duration. Can be disabled ingame.
- If you manage to kill a hero and barely survive yourself, a your food cap increases by 1, enabling you to buy more creeps.
