Custom Preview Screen. (Not Working At All)

I have looked at Ralles top ten asked questions thread and I did all that and it will won't work at all. I tried different names and stuff and did both sizes and still, nothing! Can someone please tell me how to get this working.

Could have to do with the imaging program you're using. At first I used Paint Shop to make .tga files but they didn't work. All programs doesn't make .tga files with sufficient quality. Nowdays I'm using GIMP to everything.

GIMP? You need a image program to make TGA files to work? I just saved them as TGA files and imported them and what not. Anyone know anymore on this?

From what I know, you cannot use tga's themselfs you need a converter.
I would look in the Tools section.

Here is a link to the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). If you have problems with the program at first you can simply paste your image into the picture and save it as a .tga.
I'm curious, what program did you use before?

no u can use tga file foment. check the file path and make sure you name them correctly.

p.s would you mind posting what you have done as there are multiple ways to go bout it

Just make sure you are using 24bit uncompressed tga format, and that you have an "all visible" mask attached

there are the 2 programs that u need. IrfanView and War3ModelEditor. First convert files and other make them loading screens (automatic convert to 512x512 and to the right format that you need) both of them are free. I don't think you need links for them becouse it's very easy to find them

I bet he's trying to save under 32bit because it's higher quality. I'm sure we all did that before.

That might be the case. But I have no idea how to tell if it's 24bit or whatever. Im installing GIMP right now and gonna try that. I'll try other suggestions if needed. (Sorry for no posting earlier but I was busy.) Thanks for the help.

I didn't. But then I didn't understand the difference.
Once I saved with some kind of RLE compression (don't remember really) in the GIMP. That caused Wc3 to CRASH.
