Hello everyone :) how is everyone doing?

I have trying for days to discover how to change the tiles of heights in the editor but couldn't like...

the default tile for heights are either green grass or dirt but i saw people change them to sunken ruins temple walls or city walls tiles so the raised heights (walls) look more realistic any ideas how i can change that ?

same way you change the texture (I think you mean custom skinned texture) normaly...
1.Go to import manager
2.Import (i'm guessin you'v done already...)
3.Change the filepath e.g(seeing as you want to change the cliffs)
ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\Cliff0.blp
4.Close WE and then reopen (to allow it to load the texture up)

or maybe you don't have it saved in the correct format?
It needs to be 'blp'

Sorry if I told you anything you already know or answered your question wrong but, from what I can grasp, this is what you wana know...

Not at all lich you have answered a part of my question, that the texture will import after i close the WE (the cliff texture) but how will i add the new cliff type to the terrain palette i mean, ok now i imported the texture but it won't show up in the cliff types it remains dirt and grass.

Also i found with the help of WC image extractor 2 that there are some cliff types made already that aren't in the WE how can i add those and use them in the palette ?

Again thank you very much..

Ah, I think you may be having the same problem that I have had before...
So you import correctly but it doesn't show up... My problem exactly but I fixed it by re-importing and if that doesn't work then you could try resaving it in whatever program you are using to make the texture as TGA again(assuming that you havn't downloaded it) then converting it into blp again using the extractor and then import it again...
Always worked for me cos skinning terrain tiles (dunno why) always seems to have a problem importing...
Also you might try checking that you have definately got the correct filepath although, that's the first thing I would expect you to do

and as for those tiles i'm not sure and I don't think I have ever seen em b4
Where are they and which mpq?

War3.mpq in the Replaceable Textures\Cliff\ folder you will find alot of cliff types that i haven't seen around the editor but maybe thy are there,
i don't know i have been making my map for a month now and only now that i realized that terraining isn't one of those things you just do to fill up your game (i didn't finish my map thankfully but still..) so i am trying to build a lil temple in my map and the dirt cliff texture just won't do it...

Again thank you very much i will try to re-import it.

Not for a pharaohic type of temple, i want something that looks ... dim and rocky (something to describe desert more than beach) ;)

But how can i change the wall anyway? knowing that i already worked ALOT in my map..

well, without changing the tileset, you'l just have to change the cliff that you have now. I don't think that you could change to city walls... i could be wrong, but as far as I know there is no practical way of changing this.

If you want to try this, create a new map with the same height field and size but the new tileset and then save. Then go back to your old map and switch your view to entire map then copy and paste everything from one map to the other (again, this is easier to do when you have view entire map on, which is in the advanced options). Do this for all of the Pallete types eg. terrain doodads etc.
I'm sorry if this seems a bit hard, but there could be an easier way of doing this but i don't know bout it...

Thank you very much Lich :), i thought about that for some time now, but was trying to convince myself that this won't be the only way, in any case this project is kinda dead now and working on another so the problem can wait for the time being ;). again thank you very much

hmmm, the issue isn't really pathing, i need to make the one that will enter the temple feel that the temple is curved into a hill or something like that.
