This is a Fully Custom Original Footies Map
Custom Hero Footies game-play mostly follows the basic styling of a Footmen Frenzy map. After Player votes has chosen the game options, each player begins with a building that spawns footmen. They then may select a Custom hero to go along side their army. In teams of 1-6, players fight for dominance of the Game arena by improving their units and heros with upgrades and items. To win the game the objective is implied, destroy all your enemies bases!

This game has the best Insane AI anyone has ever seen :)
I made my AI actually have 3 different levels of difficulty..
All AI get the first Hero for free. That is 1 perk they all get, they get to keep that starting 1900 gold, but you are a human.. that shouldn't be a huge problem to over come...

Easy Comps - Is quite easy to beat.. they have to pay for everything, the only perk they get is not having to pay the first 1900 gold to buy a hero. They have to pay for the upgrades for units, upgrading towers etc..

Normal Comps - These play pretty well, and have fair micro. They dont have to pay for unit upgrades they are all timed. So the main perk this level gets is starting 1900 gold and free unit up's (but they do still pay for teching and everything else)

Insane Comps - These play very very well, and have good micro. They dont have to pay for unit upgrades they are all timed. So the main perk this insane AI gets is the starting 1900 gold and free unit attack/defense up's (but they do still pay for teching and everything else)
The difference between Insane and Normal is that Insane is just overall much better and more aggressive. They upgrade towers earlier. They buy items earlier, And they use their gold better especially in late game they buy game ending things like pengs and Nukes and Alter of gods etc.. They are also more on top of things when it comes to saving themselves from being base killed.
One more thing Insane AI get is extra gold for killing a unit. Like WC3 Ladder Insane Comps Get double the gold per run to gold mines. My AI get an extra 10-20 gold per unit killed. (Early game this helps them but Late game this doesn't matter as much.)

At the beginning of the game Player 1 has alot of command options in F9 that can be chosen READ THEM.

-AI (When playing with Computers this will make them 'Mass at Dawn' and get heroes and upgrades etc.)
-Mix Races (After -AI is typed this will make random races)
-Reset Repick or -RR (This will reset the repick command to give players another chance at getting a custom hero, if they don't want a stock abilities hero.) *only works twice*
-Rocks (Adds the middle Rock guys in the starting of the game.)

-Repick (Will allow you to get a different Hero Once, drop items first.)
-MS (Tells you your Heros Movement Speed)
-Zoom 1k-2.5k (Zooms your camera out or in, exp. -zoom 2000)
-Stats (shows all players winning stats, a way to rank who's pr0!)
-SS ('Show Stats' shows a list of players total wins, also total saved Hero and Unit kills)
-Avg (Show Stats averages of HK's and UK's per win for all players with a code)
-Test afk (does a 3 min test on your team mates, if ones afk you get their gold and full control)
-PK ('Player Kills' shows a list of players total Hero/Unit kills)
-Clear (clears your screen of text)
-No TK (No Team Kill, when typed doesnt let your allies attack your units until you leave game.)
-Team AI (When Comps are on ur team this gives you control)

what does he mean by 89548 version? like the 89548th version?

This is only the 2nd version i know of. I found out about another one after i started and it doesnt work like mine. You have to keep buying items to level up your powers. The Hero ability dont function like a heros spells when leveling up. When you level i think it gives you wood or something to buy another item to lvl one of your skills.. i used a system similar to that when helping with Custom Hero Survival way back in the day..

yeah wasnt really focusing on the items at first but it has quite a few new items now as well as most all the norm items have been adjusted in some way whether it be in price or effect.

I'll post 3.2a soon its quite good, and AI computers is now fixed, no more crashing. It was a wc3 ability glitch, wasn't easy to find..

The Naga summoning stones are a little ridiculous most of the games I play a person will throw in some units then back then up with a few naga stones and they can have a consistent flow of these units coming into my base.

It wouldn't be to much of a problem but the units that the stone makes count as units and are cannot easily be dispelled by a priest and they simply do not go away until they are killed. It's footmen wars and lately it has become Naga wars. You should make the stones kind of like how the tinker base works where it summons 1 type of summoned unit consistently.

I used that one spell with the bird that circles your hero and it is almost useless it really provides no protection and the damage is so minimal that it really doesn't do much for hero killing.

The first 4 levels of the summoning stone's units can be dispelled by the priest, the stone can't because its a building but it dies after 90 secs and its low hp and easy to kill. If they are rushing you early game with the stone just use the jammy to dispel them all.

The ravens ability doesn't really get good till later levels.. then its quite powerful.
Try using nova, ravens, and blazing lasso.
first use ravens and get them out then use nova and then lasso close enough for ravens to attack, pretty much rapes :)

Your map is a failure. there is like a 50% chance that the vote system will crash the game when you select no for any vote. I have tried it 3 times selecting no for things like ssd and ars and 2/3 times after selecting no, I wasn't able to select any thing. I can use the menus but I cannot select units ect. Not only this but I have seen people glitch there heros! to get perma invulnerability. Thats fun. Also from all the errors I find while playing and the basic gui triggers you probably made this map with, the map probably leak in many different areas. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this map should not be released yet. So please! before you start adding more things to your next version, which that seems to be all your doing... adding crap... fix what you have! Then once you have a working map with no abuses, minimal leaks, And working dialog buttons, then release the next version. And I am saying this because it is needed to be said. The map idea, though unoriginal, is a very good project that should be continued. Please, I hope that you will resolve these very sever problems by the next version, and once you have fixed these problem, work on making you map more efficient *MUI*. Once the map is improved add more stuff. People will appreciate this alot.

I'm pretty sure 3.4a was already released before you made this post. You should check it out before you write such harsh things. All the things you mentioned now are fixed, you can check here. Heroes that have Mirror Images cant use rockets anymore, and heros cant glitch and become invulnerable anymore, i overlooked some things in 3.4 because it was such a hUge version update and i'm only 1 man with so much free time.. lol
Also there's not many maps that use this type of custom hero system many many people dont have the slightest clue how to even begin to make such a system. Its not all GUI and fyi im very very efficient with my coding. Theres no Leaks and im unaware of anything in the map that is not MUI, please let me know of such a thing if theres something i overlooked, but i dont believe that to be the case.

Does anyone else remember these? Because I certainly do. Don't congratulate your self thinking that you have a good map. Sure on bnet you have the spotlight, but how long can you keep your act up. You are a phase and your map is windows me all over again.

How am I to believe this when you give me spells like portal or a crappy hero skills pickin system, honestly when I saw lumber being used for limiting how many skills you picked I, I *facepalm*. The rockets are not fixed. as a noob you just refused to let anyone use rockets with the mirror walk skill, but now your giving people an excuse to spam STRONGER rockets with 20 images from wand of illusions? I took out a full base of darks with that crap.

Your Dialog buttons DO NOT WORK. I did this with the CURRENT version. Great that you fixed invul abuse, because to be honest I didnt know how to or want to know.

I hope to see some improvements by next version, and not added content and if thats what you intend just too do I will release a code generator that gives you a load code by simply entering your name, and the number of wins you want as I guess extra bonus content right? :) an easy 15 min of my life to make it.

Does anyone else remember these? Because I certainly do. Don't congratulate your self thinking that you have a good map. Sure on bnet you have the spotlight, but how long can you keep your act up. You are a phase and your map is windows me all over again.

Ok first off, i do remember those games, well the top one. I wasn't a footies fan back then and knew nothing about any footies map when i tried it out. Sadly they are broken now and gone. In some versions from now when i have more time i was thinking of adding some of that neat custom units stuff in as well.

Anyway, when i first made this map had no idea it would take off like it did..Was only making it for me and my friends to have fun with. I wasn't looking for spotlight at all so you can get off your high horse..

I am not sure where you're trying to get with this as i know your a fan of my game because i checked your stats on my bots and have seen you play with me i think before..

As for programing your map efficiently i can assure you i am.. the systems i use are pretty intense in my game even some of the easier ones are quite elaborate.. like the unit Lvling xp system for example. I guess i always forgot and overlooked that wood system didnt think people would pick 2 heros at once, also it was a safety measure from keeping people from having too much wood and buying more than 3 items per hero. But i guess i could just make another idiot proof safety block to prevent that as well..

And i would assume by now that you would know you can not spam abilities from up there anymore, you are unable to cast from picking area's.. you should really check your facts before you try and go on about more things.. that was fixed many versions ago.

yeah guess i overlooked that illusions item.. i just made heros with Mirror unable to get them so all the noobs using that crap would quickly right away know within their first game trying it that its no longer working. I'll fix it the right way next ver.
Also do you really think i don't know how to use arrays or hashtables? you must be out of your mind.. HOW in the WORLD do you think i could possibly make everything MUI if i couldn't?? LOL

I'll check out the dialog thing as well never heard any complaint on that before.. and never had it happen to me when testing it..

Why try and turn a fun game everyone likes into some sort of flame war?

There's much more friendly civil ways of approaching me and giving me advice about my game in a nicer way.. You dont have to come across like some asshole that knows everything about everything, because from the looks of your resources section you should be much more modest.

I did make a program that creates codes, however I actually took 1 hour to make it for java because I noticed a relationship between the names of accounts and characters ect ect... Also I think I was drunk atm when I flamed you so sorry for being so rude.*hence the arrays comment* Looking back on what I said though, I do think you need to fix your lumber system thing.

Edit: also, I am a fan hence why I want you to fix these things, also yes I have played with you before.

So following that advice ill proceed with my inquiry. Since it has made so many mad that:
First I found it!!!
Second I used it!!!
Third I showed everybody how to use it and now its gone viral!!!

What is it that I discovered on 10/10/10…
Its portal towers. I was trying to find a use for porthole other than taking my hot key of “W” that I use for wind walk. So before mass I was warping around my base and I accidently warped my tower away from its spot..

Anyhow I played my game and went and used the AI so I could see if I could duplicate it and I even built a strategy from it. Then I came back and showed everybody it. Now they are calling what I found a glitch... but I don’t see it that way I see it as useable strategy… in fact I’m working on a few things to balance the strategy… (if you would like some of my ideas)

I think it has limitations and I think its got problem. Right now I’m having friend use it against me and I’m specking to defeat it.

But if I even mention it people on your bots they freak out like I committed the unforgivable sin and they want my IP banned…

My name here is the same as in game and I don’t have alt ids but I think that you need to balance it or break it but for gods sakes don’t just ban those that use what available….

Thanks, glad you apologized, and for the tips i overlooked and wasn't aware of. Also theres some other huge exploits i hear from my clan that people found so i have quite the work load on my plate with not much time to get it out because its quite game breaking until its fixed :/
This weeks load with college classes dont leave me much time but hopefully by the weekend i might be able to get it all fixed up.

You people talking crap need to realize anytime u update or ad something theres potentialfor unintended side effects the stuff your complaining about happened in one and one one recent version and were corrected within days so get over yourselves it happens to everyone even the almighty blizzard themselves

i guess i would say that you should not have threats to ban if their are exploits. in 3.2 the magic block trinket did not work correctly but everybody knew it and used them. so i just specked accordingly. in 3.3 it was gone which is a good move. but you don't ban people you just break it or balance it. with the towers i would make it so if you use warp to move it from the original spot it looses a buff but is still usable as a strategy . i have other ideas for this as a balanced strategy. or you can make it so you can't move them out of the town but you could move them forward of your town.

I think what i may do.. is allow it to be portal'd around before its upgraded. After its upgraded it will no longer go through a portal. I think that would makes things alot more fair.
The reason they say its a glitch is because it is.. i never intended it to be able to do that.. i completely forgot it would be able to move buildings around.. even bases.. *sigh*
When i get more time and finish it soon it wont be a problem anymore.

Dont worry i wont be banning people that are doing it. Because seems like i hear everyones doing it.. all public and even some clan members..
I suggest not doing it.. but whatever i cant control everyone alls i can do is control it in the new version, soon.

first i would stay this... see if you can make it balance it. i think with debuffs if you leave the original spot could be helpfull and if you lose your towers it is over.... besides what is warp good for in this map? i would rather use blink

Warp is nice because it lasts for a while allowing your hero and units pass to another base quickly also your allies can all use it, peasants can pass through it to get an item from another teams base inside the protective area, theres lots of good uses for it. If a team mate has transmute but isnt able to get out of the base long enough to use his ulti the portal can help him etc. Theres lot of odd uses for it that blink cant do.

ok then i have an idea

in the back portion of a base kinda of an L shape around the bases. has all the buffs for towers Range, Damage, invisibility sight, and armor. in that zone the towers would retain their full powers... change the tower setup to an upgrade method making the largest really expensive.

if the tower is moved into the open base area it loses invisibility sight and some range. this leaves it open to catapult or elves with full range upgraded. but it could be used for defense then make a layout of warp able spots out in the open arena. losing even more stats. i recommend loss of range range. loss of damage, leave the armor and no sight. you lay it out so heroes can get around in the arena but its like a forward position with a hero defensible area.
now if you decide to move it into to a base you better have it upgraded to the ultimate tower because all the stats including armor drop. making it very hard to accomplish and keep your towers. but if your really good you might be able to do it.
so all you do is make the area effects reducing tower ability's progressively as you move out of your starting spot. making only one spot in front of each base with a walk around for heroes to bypass towers and attack troops in base.

in the end you call it a glitch but its balanced so its usable as a strategy. and if people are pissed about it they will kill the towers leaving the strategy dead... this way you can use all kinds of new ideas.

yeah i thought about letting it be transported only while not upgraded. once its upgraded your dead in the water. where ever your tower is thats where it stays if you upgrade it.

I thought it was not bad or too OP and some of your suggestions arnt bad either.
All the towers range and attack power hp and armor are balanced around them being in the very back of the base.. so it does change some things and i would have to do a ton of region checks etc to make it have different affects or powers in different areas going that far with it probably isnt worth the time.

But heres the thing. I talked with a lot of people and got votes from everyone after i made a beta of 3.4b when you could still use portal with non-upgraded towers and tested it a bunch with clan members and others also. It was pretty much a unanimous vote to just remove the portal moving towers.
I left it so Death Tower ulti can still be moved by portal tho.

BTW can you do something for the pubs were their team mates leave on them. i was thinking of slow streaming money if one leaves and faster if both leave... something to give those that were stuck teaming with leavers have something helping balance the fight. it doesn't have to fully balance it but it could add to their fighting chance.

that would be the worst idea ever im afraid


when you make a kill the exp gets split between all the heros

a team with 2 heros gets more xp faster than a team with 3 heros

since the persons units dont die before mass u have hte advantage of having there units , bein able to claim the money AND getting more xp for your 2 heros (if they made the hero then left its up to you to be smart enuff to strip there hero and kill it)

Custom Hero Footies is an excellent game. Every time something's discovered that would make the game any less fun Bond has promptly fixed it in order to constantly make this the best game in Warcraft 3 hands down. I appreciate CHF significantly more than I appreciate ladder, or any other aspect of Warcraft 3, and it's by far what I enjoy the most while playing this game.

The stunning level of customization, skill variety and skill use make it a perfect example of a game constantly striding toward that paragon of design. This is definitely a game to keep up to date with as well, each new version makes the game better and better, since the time I started playing balance adjustments have made the vast majority of skills more viable, at least tripling the number available to be functionally used giving the players much more option when seriously playing as opposed to there just being a 'best build' that dominates everything.

The game is team based and although it can be fun to play with strangers the game's played at a much better level by a team and getting together a group of your friends to play, develop strategies, and just over all enjoy the game makes it a great experience for even a whole clan to get in on.

The game has variety and depth where through experimentation, observation, and hypothesization new combinations of skills can be used to form unique ways of winning.

On top of all this the game has multiple game modes each giving a radically different experience! For those who are veterans of 5.4 AR the -ARS mode gives a completely different field of possibilities than the normal, needing to adapt to the skills provided in order to accomplish your goals. In -CTF mode the game takes on a different entertaining nature where teams go for flag captures giving a lot of opportunities for variety and fun!

I highly recommend this map to anyone who owns Warcraft 3 TFT, it's the best experience you'll get out of the game.

Most people like all random heros anyway, and besides you can pick your own spells, isnt that enough? lol I think if people were able to pick the hero they want and their spells a lot of people would never change it up and maybe pick the same heros and spells all the time.
