I've been playing CoD2 with my friends in (I'm not sure how it's written) Gaming salon for a long time. And I joined the hive. And now I'm going to share my exp with everyone.
Ok in cod you can separate weapons into 2 classes:
1.Short range
2.Long range
In this group are short range weapons as:
1)SMGs
2)Shotguns
3)HSMGs
1)SMGs
SMG stands for Sub Mashineguns
Accuracy: medium
Damage: medium
Range: medium
Mobility: medium
Reload speed: medium
2)Shotguns
Accuracy: lowest
Damage: maximum
Range: low
Mobility: below medium
Reload speed: low
3)HSMG
Heavy SMG
Accuracy: high
Damage: high
Range: medium
Mobility: low
Reload speed: medium
1)Snipers
2)Classical rifles
3)Semi-automatic rifles
4)Assult rifle
1)Sniper
Accuracy: maximum(moving scope, no pointer)
Damage: maximum(for torso and head)
Range:maximum
Mobility: below medium
Reload speed: lowest
Best for maps: "Moscow"; "El Alamein"; "Leningrad".
2)Classical rifles(Lee Enfield, Kar98, Moshin G.)
Like snipers without scopes.

3)Semi-automatic rifles(Gewer 43, M1 Garand)

4) (Special) Assult rifle(s)
There is only one in assult rifle in CoD or CoD2, MP-44.

Tactics are one man strategies.
Strategies are plans of actions for a team or a group.
These are more like tips.
1)City

1.Always watch before you cross the street.
2.Crouch when possible(they can't hear you coming)
3.If you're using Short range weapons, always aim before ambush.

1.Stay in cover as much as possible
2.Never run over the field
3.If you're using Short range weapon, avoid snipers in the open field.

1.Always keep to the buildings, stay of the open space.
2.Keep in groups up to 3 players. (different weapons)
3.Don't let your teammates be behind you. (When come under fire you can't reteat and than you get killed)

1.Keep to the cover as much as possible.
2.Use buildings as much as possible. (If there are any)
3.If going solo, always crouch and fire when sure.(don't give out your location, there is such thing as the kill camera)
Ok for this practice I'll use map "Carentan".
Points marked with letters are enterable buildings.
Points marked with numbers are important areas.
There are 3 MGs on this map:
2 MG42s and one 50 cal.
Areas bordered with red and green lines are field of view (FOV) of the MGs.
Building A:Most important building on the map. Can be attacked from areas 2 and 2b.
Building B: This is the building with most important MG. Can be attacked from areas 1 and 2b.
Building C: This building is a good spot to take out the MG in the building B.
Building D: One of the most important buildings. From there you can take out both MG42 and 50 cal. gunners.
Building E: You can take out the 50 cal. from it.
Building F: There is only one entrance to this building so it can be easily defended
50 cal. : Can be easily attacked from area 3.
MG42 F. : Can be easily attacked from area 1, 2b, 4.
Tip1:Never go in the FOV of the MG if enemy has control of it.
Tip2:Always attack MGs from the blank point(Or out of their FOV).
Tip3:Always take MP44 if you find any. It is the most powerful rifle in the game.
Tip4:When you attack a MG from short distance, always use the game of pacience. Make him think you left.
Tip5:Sniper has hige damage as from long range as from short. But you musn't miss.
