Hey everyone

I have a question

Is it possibelt to remove the circle around a cliff? Because I need to remove the "terrain" around the circle, if you understand, what I mean. :con:

Another thing is, maby a bit stupid question but I dont think you can, but can you import other Cliffs to the map? for examble if I made a map of "lordaeron Sommer" and I would like to import the cliffs from "Underground" :eekani:

Thanks for help :infl_thumbs_up: Hope you can help me

For your first problem, no, it's impossible to prevent the circle from spawning.

Cliff importing is possible, but only with World Editor Unlimited. Also, the cliff from Lordaeron Summer will not show correctly if you're not using the WEU Patch, so I suggest you stick to the original cliffs.

you are limited to 2 cliff tiles per map, without using something like WEU's WC3 patch. Cliff textures are stored in MPQs within MPQs, with a single char as the MPQ's name. Each tileset uses 2 cliffs. Some tilesets have one jagged, one strait. Others have 2 of either. When importing cliff textures to over-write the default ones, you have to import them in the path which cliff tiles are stored within these sub MPQs. These paths are:
ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\Cliff0.blp
ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\Cliff1.blp

As for removing the terrain circle on the bottom of a cliff, the outland tileset
has that cliff that fades to void. examine how they did that, and you will have your answer.

But I think you missunderstanded the last question, I know you can't import a cliff like a "model", I just wanted to know if you could change one cliff from Lordaeran sommer out with sunken ruins for example. :con:

What do you mean with that? I just want to remove the circle around the cliff so its look like a normal cliff.

As you can see there is none "terrain" circle around that one, then I just want to know if you can take the other one (the first one) and remove that one around. maby its just me who is very confused!

I'm sorry, I forgot to add the word Unlimited: you can only add cliff tiles with World Editor Unlimited.

Because the ground around it is also Dirt. Try creating a Dirt cliff on grass. It'll result in the problem you mentioned in the first post.

I'll consider this case solved anyway. You may still post, though.

Oh I understand now
It's because im working on a map, where you are walking up in the mountains, until you find a forgotten tomb, because I wish I could make it in Barrens an import 1 cliff from another "terrain" because I need that inside the tomb, if you understand. :hohum:
