Well, whatever bug has crawled out from the woodwork, I'm experiencing it too.

I am unable to access the chat room using either of my two machines or four web browsers. When entering, I see the chat frames and environment: no nicklist or messages are visible; the activity button does not flash.

WORLD ENDING!
NOOOO!!
Say, something else was up with the forums earlier today, now the chat?
Something is awry.

I mustah Missed it, what was wrong with the forums?

And im sure if ya'all tried hard enough you could get in chat (Now it took me 13 trys!) or get on msn to talk to whoever you want if you are that desperate.

Something screwy is still going on. Access was again denied to me for an hour or so. Since I got back in, I can't see the entire nick list. Users present in the chat seem "invisible" and I only see them when they post messages. I saw Sansui post a message, but I never saw him on the list. That bug has cropped up in the past from time to time.

Since it's now about 5:20 AM in Denmark, I'm betting that we will just have to deal with the intermittent bugs until our webmaster is up, about and able.

I am getting a access demied error on chat at 06:13 (AM) GMT.
I think its somthing screwy with the server's firewall, maybe an update or some option change since it is denying connection for the chatroom, and I have checked over all my options for firewall and anti virus.

chat's not working for me now, and when I try to go to the site with www.hiveworkshop.com it doesn't work unless I take out the "www."
same with the forum button which links to a "www." I can still acces the forums if I take out the "www." but not with chat. It goes to it but no one's there and the green doesn't flash
whenever I try it with "www." it goes to the "server not found" thing

Sometimes everyone experiences small problems staying connected to the chat.

Since the chat room is hosted on our server, its response is tied to it. The server automagically restarts itself when performance drops below a certain level and the chat room will be unresponsive when that happens.

you really don't need a good connection to use chat. The problem has been mentioned by wolverabid and your connection hardly matters. Everybody disconnects sometimes, you too HT.

NO!! I CAN't DISCONNECT! I am too epic for so to happen.
bleh

I was just thinking that he uses dialup, because he lives in montenegro, though I am not sure.

Ralle is slowly exterminating all the bugs in the new chat room:

Code:
")
>)
<)
Those sequences may now be typed without producing the "wink"

That emoticon is now displayed with the keyboard shortcut:

[off-topic]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_bug

The invention of the term is often erroneously attributed to Grace Hopper, who publicized the cause of a malfunction in an early electromechanical computer.

In 1946, when Hopper was released from active duty, she joined the Harvard Faculty at the Computation Laboratory where she continued her work on the Mark II and Mark III. Operators traced an error in the Mark II to a moth trapped in a relay, coining the term bug. This bug was carefully removed and taped to the log book September 9th 1945. Stemming from the first bug, today we call errors or glitch's [sic] in a program a bug.
