Channel Ability's "Target Point" field not working correctly

I am using Channel ability to create custom spell.

But i found that, when i set the ability to 'target unit' , when i trying to cast the spell, there are no cursor for me to aim the unit!

But i put it to 'target point' it works well.

WHY the cursor gone? which cause it? how to fix?

Have you tried "Point or Unit"?

remove the Targeting Image

it works only for Points i believe
