VGsatomi: Approved. Very fun map when there's enough players on both sides. Great use of imported models to effectively create a good LOTR setting. Good work.

the filesize is too big, I couldn't be arsed to host it cause ppl wouldn't wait, and that its almost on the limit, you didn't give credits to the modellers, like olofmoleman(nazgul), robertartua(BFME ripped gondor soldier), lacrossetitans(gondor spearman, gondor knight), tha_chump(gondorian doodads), Mc!(ranger), Ismokeweed(mordor orc skin), and the map is too laggy, and most ppl who played with me said that the terrain fails, and the gameplay is not fun enough..

I give this map a 2 out of 10

sorry man, but IMO this should disapproved..

i diddnt dl this map because i looked at your minimap, and found this:

osgiliath only had 2 bridges, both way longer then that. osgiliath was more grimmer then that bright city terrein ur useing, and the general formation of the city's terrein is off.

Right...

I personally think this map is great. Though it's not very accurate to what Osgiliath looks like, it's far better than all other Osgiliath maps I've played, including yours anti-bodies. It doesn't have to have 2 long bridges and be bleak looking to be five times better than yours and i have to say the city looks overall shocking in yours whereas it looks wonderful in this, oh, and for the record, Osgiliath didn't get re-inforcements and posting onto maps to say yours is better is just low.

Aside from that, i think you were clever how you made everything with the catapults and clever city layout etc. But you should really credit people for skins or people get extremely pissed off. I think it's pretty good balacing though the Gondor archers should have a little more health and Nazgul have more or have some invulnerability spell and an AoE so they can make good rounds.

I think if you make this look more like the real city this could get real popular.

The Map

Yeah, the city is not exactly how the movie was but I did my best to make it as similar as I could with the models and skins I had access to. If anybody could make or link me to some better models I would be more than happy to use them. Some new buildings and tiles would be nice. I put the reinforcements thing in to help balance it out because purple did not have a whole lot of starting units. However in the book, Denethor sent Faramir and some others to reinforce Osgiliath before the attack so it did indeed recieve some reinforcements. The way the camera is angled also contributes to how it looks less like Osgiliath, if you see the first cinematic where it views a great deal of the city, it really has an effect on it. I do plan to make a new version very soon and suggestions will be welcomed.

If you read the book , you can see "the bridge of Osgiliath"
So there is one bridge , no more...
