I've always wanted to create an arena like this one. Something like Pudge Wars in design but like Warlock in game style. Well now I am finally getting somewhere, even though this map isn't in anyway near those two in design and code complexity. I shouldn't really say never, look at what happened of Spacing lol...

So what the hell is this?
A skillshot map that involves bandits throwing spears at each other. You buy items and level your skillshot according to what you find best. Its a nerve racking game with 80 levels of upgrading your butt-off in order to enjoy a mass carnage.

I have to thank two people before they come at me with pitchforks and torches. First off, thanks to xBlackRose aka Siraraz aka the guy who makes Pudge Wars for finding the time to help me with this project. I couldn't have even understood the spells and half the triggers I needed without his help. Secondly, I was looking for a GUI Elune's Arrow triggers, since I couldn't make my own ( didn't know how ) so from all the spells I came upon, i finally GOT IT looking at reason 3's spell. Many thanks for making the spell, I wouldn't have understood how the manual missile dynamics work! I will be using this modified spell for as long as I can, because its perfect! I just hope it works MUI...

You have a 2%/4%/6%/8%/10% chance to dodge an enemy spear's direct damage. This however doesn't negate the other effects

Absorbs 2/3/4/5/6 damage from attacks and you take 7%/10%/13%/16%/19% reduced damage from spears. The damage reduction also applies for Rocket Shot's splash, Rogue Gauntlet and Marked for Death's Critical

Adds +10 Attack Damage and allows attacks to restore equal to 40% of the damage dealt. Lasts 10 seconds

Throw Spear (No Levels)
Cooldown: 3.5 seconds

Throws a spear in a single line, dealing damage to the first unit it encounters. Applies other effects on hit


Marked%20for%20Death.jpg

Marked for Death (No Levels)
Cooldown: 120 seconds

Marks an enemy for 9 seconds, constantly revealing its location. If the target is hit while under the effects of Marked for Death, the spear will consume the debuff and deal damage equal to 3x of the spear damage. This temporary critical stacks with other critical damage items. If the target is killed while under the effects of Marked for Death, its killer will get a permanent boost of +40 Health, +2 Spear Damage

Chilling Howl (No Levels)
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Releases a howl that freezes enemies at maximum of 500 range, reducing their Spear Speed by -30% for 10 seconds

Distracting Shot (No Levels)
Cooldown: 45 seconds

Fires another missile that will fly in a straight line, having stats as same as the spear. The missile will disrupt the first enemy it hits, dealing no damage but silencing it for 5 seconds

Level Damage (20 Levels)
Cost: 1 Level Point

Increases your Spear Damage by +2 permanently. Spear Damage affects how much damage you deal upon landing a successful hit with your Throw Spear. Also almost all other effects depend on this stat

Level Accuracy (20 Levels)
Cost: 1 Level Point

Increases your Spear Accuracy by +5% permanently. Spear Accuracy determines how accurate your throws will be, as higher accuracy makes targets easy to hit

Cost: 1 Level Point

Increases your Spear Range by +2% permanently. Spear Range increases the distance your spear will pass before hitting a target or disappearing

Cost: 1 Level Point

Increases your Spear Speed by +10% permanently. Spear Speed increases the speed at which you throw your spear, making it both quicker to hit and harder to dodge


So what can you do for me?
This map is in this section because its work in progress. I would appreciate any ideas and suggestions, as long as they don't require mass amounts of my and your time or generally some impossible concepts that don't fit either way. Example don't ask me to learn jass just so I can make an idea that you aren't gonna code either. Also, don't be unreasonable with your ideas or suggestions - making changes is important and I will consider each and every idea you give. But don't compare the map to others who did something you like. I am perfectly okay if you hate the map or its content. In which case, just be silent and go away...

Spell helps
I'm okay with whatever help here, although I know what I must do and how to do 90% of it. If you want to code something on your own and then display it, great! But I still might not like it, so for anything you might spend time on, ask if that is what the map needs or not.

Testing
As always testing is the #1 thing you can do. Test and see how you like it. Maybe the map is horrible and you have some idea to make it better. Maybe you can better the triggers in anyway you can. I am grateful for all that, but please log what you want to change so that I have information about what was done. I currently don't have any idea will the throw spear spell be as much as MUI as I want, or lag.. these things is where I appreciate most of the help.

Spells/Items
Shoot! I'd like to hear if you have something to suggest. I do want to make more items and/or spells for the map. So anything you think might be great in this map, describe it.

Overall Balancing
The way spells, items, stats are right now because of my general idea of a balanced gameplay. If you find something that you think is too powerful or underpowered tell me about it. Cuz these are the major things that either make the game enjoyable for everyone or spoil all the fun possible. This is the testing part and I hope lot of you will test it

Aye, terrain was totally bad. I've changed that. Bandit expertise is in many things. And the rest you said was as true as it is false. Any dispute between raging clans of bandits, criminals or outlaws could lead to war, which is just official dispute and an open kill on sight treaty. But other than that, thanks for sharing your point of view.
