Here are some of my terrains, including the one I showed in the other post. Hopefully you like the new ones I made. I usually make an environment and then take a few cool cameras with it, the new environment came out pretty nice in my opinion.

The little series is going to be based on a foggy morning. Here you go!

(Note: The 12th image is my 'ATTEMPT' at high resolutions, so it was done way before everything on here.)

Please stick to just one thread. Next one will get deleted if I find it is necessary for me to do!

  • First one is great for winter, but you can barely see anything. But I still like it.
  • Second one is very empty and plain. Needs a lot more environment doodads. Can also use more depth in the fog.
  • I don't like the pile of boulders next to the Castle. The fog needs to be more dense as well and more visible. There should be more buildings surrounding the castle as well, same for the second screenshot.

Looks good. I think the other one was better. The first one should just be deleted. =P

First picture I don't like at all, just a big white... thing.

Second and third picture is awesome, great work banlord. One thing I don't get is why would anyone have a fruit stand or whatever it is outside in foggy wheather in the middle of nowhere when there is no one around?

The first one is just to look kind of cool, I was just messing with the editor right then. I'll be keeping the second and third one, I added a new one to show some improvements I made on the terrain. :)

Two more added.

The one with the hill on fire was made because I was making the city, and it reminded me of the time a few years ago back in 2005 when there was a wildfire, the sky was covered, and ash was falling from the sky, and about half a mile away you can see the mountains on fire.

500 people went homeless.

The last one looks lame. I don't like the fire on top of the mountain.

The city on fire looks cool, too bad the fire isn't high-res!

You need to add wayyy more doodads. Not sure what kind are out there for High-Res, but you definitely need more!

I like the outside view of the house, very eerie and has a "house full of corpses" feel to it, like in some horror game. The thick white fog fits really great. Only bad thing is that I would have prefered this to either be a taller house or have a normal roof, not this flat roof.

The inside though I don't really like, way to empty.

Thats the reason why it is empty, because theres not alot of space, and making a camera that actually shows the detail in the house is hard enough already, because sometimes the doodads will vanish or you will see straight through them. So, I'll work on adding more stuff on the inside, giving it a little more spookier feeling.

That last terrain is certainly by far your best piece. However you really need to work on your indoor terrains. They're really plain, empty, and the proportions are unrealistic. For example: The chairs and table are huge in that one room and the candle is practically burning the ceiling!
Keep it up though, I find your work to be interesting.
