is there a way that i can make an aura that gives the affected unit an ability without using Jass.

Yes... You will need to check if there are units which have the buff of the aura but don't have the ability you want to give to the unit. This will be a Timed Event (every 0.10 seconds) and the stuff above is a condition. However... perhaps you can get it by my Light Aura: http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Spells&ID=720&sid=35dd8ecb37e60dda0f82533627717dc2 . If i remember well, the aura is done in GUI (atleast what you need).
