THIS MAP CONTAINS POTENTIALLY MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR ATTACK ON TITAN (THE MAIN STORY IS NOT SPOILED, BUT CERTAIN MOMENTS AND EVENTS COULD POSSIBLY BE REVEALED). DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED; RATHER, WATCH THE ANIME OR READ THE MANGA AND COME BACK WHEN YOU'RE ALL CAUGHT UP!

OF COURSE, KNOWLEDGE OF ATTACK ON TITAN IS NOT NECESSARY TO PLAY OR ENJOY THIS MAP.

NOTE: THIS MAP IS ON EXTENDED HIATUS. NO UPDATES ARE CURRENTLY IN THE WORKS.

---

This is my third map uploaded to HIVE. I was originally going to wait for the series to finish before releasing it, but decided to do it sooner. This is the only (to my knowledge) Attack on Titan Map on HIVE. I hope that it inspires others to create further ones, and that people enjoy this map.

The gameplay is relatively simple; play as one of the Nine Titan Powers and kill the others using a different strategy for and as each. Each Titan differs in strategy, and additionally, each Titan releases their Shifter on death, which must be killed before they regain enough energy to transform again to permanently remove that Titan from the game. Upon death, a Shifter drops its Power, which can be taken to use a fraction of their Titan's abilities.

There are certain structures around the map that can be used to your advantage, such as Temples that drop vials that can restore health and energy.
The three gates at the edges of the map continously spawn small amounts of Pure Titans. These are hostile to everyone and everything, but are substantially weaker than the Nine.

Additionally, if you use computer players, the Nine Titans will wander the map, attack each other, and even use some abilities, though this cannot compare to the human experience.

Each Titan also has its own gameplay, so while the Cart may be the weakest in health and damage, its speed is crucial to its strategy and can be used to sneak in a kill. Additionally, due to its adaptability, it can carry the most Titan Powers.

Likewise, each Titan has its weaknesses; the Colossal Titan may have extremely high damage and health, but its easy to out-manuever and passively loses energy.

Learn your Titan's abilities and use them to their fullest, or create your own strategy. Just remember; "If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don't fight, you can't win." And most importantly, have fun!

You can learn more about Gamemodes under "Quests". A basic rundown can be found here:
- Deathmatch Mode: Kill all other Titans to win. Default Gamemode.
- Competition Mode: Kill 200 Pure Titans to win.
- Rumbling Mode: Be the last one standing as the Rumbling is unleashed.
- Shifter Mode: Survive in your Shifter Form long enough to turn into your Titan and kill the others.

Colossal Titan:
images
The Colossal Titan; A 60-Meter tall god of destruction. The most physically powerful of the Nine, boasting incredible health and shattering damage. Though it may be the slowest, its advance brings a burning wave of destruction with each rumbling step. It can surround itself in a "Scalding Steam" to ward off attackers (though it will damage itself as well), its massive size and weight can be harnessed into a powerful "Stomp" that will knock enemies caught in its radius to the ground, and it's far reach and great strength can be used to "Grab" and crush an enemy in hand. Its ultimate ability, "Burning Sky", allows it to rain burning debris on enemies around it. All this power comes at the cost of energy, which the Colossal loses simply by walking or even standing, as well as speed. Despite this, the Colossal Titan is still a true sight to be feared.

Beast Titan:
images
The Beast Titan, standing at 17-meters, is an adaptable and versatile Titan that takes on different forms based on its bearer. In Ape Form, it is able to hurl things with great force to great distances, whether it be a payload of "Shrapnel" or a single large "Boulder". In Bull Form, it can use a powerful "Stomp" to disorient surrounding foes. In all forms, the Beast can use "Beast Adaption" to temporarily increase its health, damage and armour, and become immune to the special abilities of Titans.

Founding Titan:
images
The Founding Titan, or the Coordinate, standing at 15-Meters tall, is the true most powerful of the Nine. It is the first, and all Titans up to this point have answered to it. It has many powerful telepathic abilities that can be used across the battlefield, having complete control of all Eldians. Using its "Blood-Mist", the Founder can turn groups of Villagers into Abnormal Titans completely under its will, giving it a shield against enemies. It can use "Disable" to stop other Titans from casting abilities. Using its connection to the Origin of All Life, it can glance into the future and reveal a location for a time. It can also use its telepathy to "Freeze" enemies across the map for a short time.

Armoured Titan:
images
The Armoured Titan, standing at 15-Meters, is the most defensive Titan among the Nine. Encased in a shell of hardened plates, the Armoured Titan is sturdier than most walls can ever hope to be. The Armoured Titan can "Slam" the ground with its incredible strength and weight, slowing enemies caught in the impact, or become utterly invulnerable by "Reinforcing" its armour in tight situations. All this defense, however, comes at a cost; the Armoured Titan is one of the slowest Titans; though it is able to "Shed Plates" in exchange for speed when needed, this leaves it more vulnerable.

Warhammer Titan:
images
The Warhammer Titan, at 15-Meters, is the master of hardened skin. It can create a multitude of weapons, though its most preferred is a massive Warhammer. The current bearer can switch between a Spear and a Bow. It can use its power to "Impale" targets with spikes from the ground, or it can launch a "Hardened Bolt" as a long-ranged attack. The Warhammer, however, lacks in energy, and must use its abilities carefully.

Attack Titan:
images
The Attack Titan, a 15-Meter with an unstoppable hatred inside of it. It has always sought freedom regardless of its owner, and this rings even more true against the other Titan Powers. The Attack Titan can produce a "Devastating Attack" to severely damage and stun an enemy. Its attack power can be increased with "Berserker Rage", making it able to contend with even the largest or most durable of the Nine.

Female Titan:
images
The Female Titan, standing at 14-Meters, is the most adaptable of the Nine; with abilities such as "Focused Regeneration" to heal herself faster, "Sweeping Kick" which will damage and stun an opponent, or "Crystal Shield" to grant herself an armour boost. She is also one of the faster Titans, which suits her well in escaping tougher foes. Another power she possesses is the ability to "Scream", which forces Pure Titans across the map to move towards her location.

Jaw Titan:
images
Standing at 5 Meters, the Jaw Titan is the second fastest and by far the most agile of the Nine. It can use this agility to "Leap" past enemies, allowing for easy escape or the ability to catch up to fleeing foes. Its "Vicious Bite" is particularly dangerous, as its titular Jaws are nearly inescapable. It can also use "Reaping Slash" to wound and slow a target. The Jaw Titan is the only Titan that can break through hardened skin, making it a formidable threat to the Armoured and Warhammer Titans.

Cart Titan:
images
The smallest of the Nine, standing at 4-Meters. The Cart's small size means its speed is unmatched, making it especially effective at escaping a losing battle. The Cart is also excellent for use as a mobile attack platform, whether it be "Long-Range" or "Short-Range".

- Possible Charge ability for the Armoured Titan.
- Possible improvement of Mindless Titans, including having those summoned by the Beast Titan only being commanded through a set of roars.
- More abilities.
- More gamemodes (open for ideas).
- Possible further improvements to the map description.
- More roar sounds.
- Possible additional terrain maps (the first of which would be a fort-themed map similar to the one featured in episode 1 of season 4).
- Something for Players to do upon being defeated, preferably some sort of Observer Mode.
- Possible addition of the "Paths", which would be used to upgrade certain aspects of your Titan (this likely will only be added, if at all, once the anime is complete, as more information is needed).
- Abilities for the Attack and Cart Shifters, and more Shifter abilities in general.
- Expanded map? Outer forest?
- An Ally Mode (Need assistance with this as my current Victory Triggers are sloppy and don't allow for an Ally Mode).

- None Currently.

I am aware this map needs balancing. I'll appreciate any feedback or ideas.

Please don't edit this map or post it to other sites without my permission. If you find any bugs, feel free to report them and I'll try to fix them.

Thanks for reading and downloading (if you did) and hope you have some fun! Maybe check out my other maps, and be sure to appreciate the models (and especially their makers!) that are used in them!

- Replaced Cart Titan's "Armour Wargear" with "Supply Wargear".
- Gave the Cart Titan the ability to heal other Titans while equipped with Supplies.
- Changed the text that appears upon a gamemode being selected.
- Changed gamemode selection so that only the owner of the Founding Titan is able to select gamemodes. This might be changed in the future.
- Gamemodes can now only be selected within the first 30 seconds of the game.
- Added some colour to the Hotkeys to make them stand out more.
- Created a short introduction explaining the game.

- More text fixes, including fleshing out of the scenario in "Gameplay" under "Quests".
- Added the "Burn Out" and "Burning Sky" abilities to the Colossal Titan in an effort to balance it. "Burn Out" causes the Colossal Titan to lose mana, and ultimately be unable to regenerate mana. This means that waiting it out is a viable strategy. Conversely, the controller of the Colossal Titan must act fast to gain victory, and only use its very-costly abilities at the right moments. "Burning Sky" was added to strengthen the Colossal against swarms.
- Added the "Frenzy" ability to the Beast Titan.
- Changed models of city buildings to better fit the architecture of the ancient Eldia seen in season 4 of the anime.

- Colossal Titan now has "Grab" ability. Grab allows the Colossal Titan to deal a maximum of 4000 damage and lock an enemy Titan in place, making capturing other Titans easier.
- Reduced cooldown and mana cost of Colossal Titan's "Colossal Stomp" ability.
- Added stronger gates to the second wall and removed initialization opening functions to prevent swarming the center in the beggining of the game.
- Increased amount of Colossal Titans spawned on choosing "Rumbling Mode" from 12 to 24 (6 in each direction).
- Changed the start locations of player-controlled Titans to be more randomized.
- Combined "Combat Titan" attack-type and armour-type with "Mindless Titan" attack-type and armour-type to create "Large Titan" attack type and armour-type.
- Renamed "Cart Titan" attack-type to "Small Titan".
- Renamed "Assault Titan" armour-type to "Small Titan".
- Added "Ally Mode". Ally Mode allies all Titans and summons 16 Anti-Titan artillery-carrying vehicles to roam the map. These vehicles are difficult to fight one-on-one, and must be handled through team work. Be wary, though; simply surrounding them with all the Titan Powers is not always the best option, as the ATA's carry some nasty surprises (This Mode is now removed).

- Renamed most Attack and Armour types to be less confusing.

- Added colour to various pieces of text.
- Removed Dominance Mode due to multiple issues. Deathmatch Mode is now the initial mode. Dominance may be reimplemented in the future (probably renamed to "Capture Mode" and involving a different system entirely).
- Removed Ally Mode.
- Upon death, Titans drop their Shifters. With a little bit of luck and the use of the skills each Shifter possesses, your Shifter can escape and return to their Titan Form.
- Added "Shifter Mode". Shifter Mode reduces all Titans to their Shifter Forms, forcing a race towards who can become their Titan first.
- Items now drop upon death. Additionally added a damage increasing item.
- Modified the Jaw Titan's "Leap" ability to make it more realistic using the Jump System created by Paladon (big thanks to them for creating and sharing it all those years ago!). Smaller Abnormal Titans - particularly those created by the Beast - can also use this ability.

- Reduced the Female Titan's "Exploit Weakness" Critical Strike chance (from 25% to 15%).
- All Players can now select Gamemodes.
- Civilians will now flee for the new harbour at the bottom of the map during the beggining of the game.
- Added a Leaderboard for Competition Mode.
- Changed the spawning time of Pure Titans.
- Upon death, Titan Shifters now drop their power. This allows the killing Titan to use powers that they don't have access to, such as the Jaw Titan gaining the Armoured Titan's Invulnerability.

- Modified the Female Titan's "Scream" ability. It now causes Pure Titans across the map to move towards the position of the Female Titan at the time of its casting
- Modified the way the Beast Titan summons Titans. Now, you must first use "Blood Mist" on a group of humans, followed by using "Create Titans" to turn them into Titans.
- Reduced the Colossal Titan's health from 9800 to 7800. Also reduced the health of the Colossal Titan's unleashed by the Rumbling.
- Modified the Female Titan's "Crystal Armour". When activated, it now absorbs energy in place of health when being damaged.
- Reduced health boost provided by "Stamina" from 1000 to 500.
- Reduced the Female Titan's energy from 3000 to 2400.
- Reduced the Female Titan's health from 2600 to 2400.
- The Armoured and Warhammer Titans now have their own Classification.
- Modified the Founding Titan's "Remove Armour" spell. It has now been renamed to "Undo Hardening" and only affects Titans with the "Armoured" classification.
- The Cart Titan can now equipt either a "Long-Range" or "Short-Range" platform, both giving access to a powerful ranged ability.
- The Jaw Titan now has "Vicious Bite" which locks a target in place and deals damage per second. Previous "Bite" ability was renamed to "Reaping Slash".
- Added Tunnels in each of the eight towns that allow Shifters to move from the inner wall to the outer wall, and vice-versa.
- Reduced the Jaw Titan's "Pierce" armour reduction from 3 to 2. Pierce now only affects Titan's with the "Armoured" classification.
- The Beast Titan's "Hurl Shrapnel" now deals damage and stuns in a large area.

- Decreased the damage caused by the Colossal Titan's "Burning Sky" ability from 1200 to 400.
- Increased the Beast Titan's mana from 1700 to 2000.
- The Founding Titan now has the "Freeze" ability, which stuns all enemies across the map for 5 seconds, and the "Memories of the Future" ability, which reveals a location on the map.
- Reduced the mana cost of the Founding Titan's "Undo Hardening ability from 500 to 200.
- Made the terrain more city-like.
- Changed a few of the Random Spawn Points and added extra ones for the Beast Titan.
- Reduced the energy cost of the Founding Titan's "Undo Hardening" and "Coordinate" spells from 200 to 150.
- Temporarily removed Shifter abilities. They will be re-added in the future.

- Increased Pure Titan spawning time.
- Increased Cart Titan's health from 2200 to 2700.
- Increased Jaw Titan's health from 2900 to 3200.
- Vials no longer take up Inventory space. Additionally changed some effects of the vials. More kinds may be added in the future.
- The Cart Titan can now collect rockets from Barracks and Towers across the map, and can use these rockets when in "Rocket Platform" mode as projectiles. The Cart's "Catapult Platform" ability is now its primary ranged attack that does not require ammo.
- Colossal Titan's spawned by "Rumbling Mode" now appear from special "Colossal Statues" found at certain points of the map. Additionally, they are also permanently immolated.
- The Colossal Titan can now attack gates and buildings.
- Removed the "Carry" ability of Abnormal Titans summoned by the Beast Titan.
- Increased the cooldown of the Founding Titan's "Feeeze" ability.

- Added "Curse of Ymir Mode". Curse of Ymir Mode gives all Titans a timer of 1300 seconds.
- Removed damage-increasing Vial and changed effect of "Vial of Stamina" to a heal instead of increasing maximum health.
- The "Rockets" item now instantly recharges the Cart Titan's abilities (namely the "Thunder Spear" ability) and recharges it's mana. They can be found as drops from Tower buildings and can only be picked up in "Rocket-Platform" mode.
- Added a short guide for each Titan that appears in the beginning of the game.
- Reduced cooldown of Cart forms.
- Reduced Mana cost of Armoured Titan's "Shift Armour" ability from 200 to 0 and decreased cooldown.

- Fixed Vials not working.
- Small amounts of Titans now permanently spawn at the Outer-Gates.
- "Competition Mode" now increases Titan Spawn rate.
- Removed "No Titan Mode".
- The Warhammer can now change between "Spear Form" and "Bow Form". Spear Form is a melee fighter which can Impale enemies and use "Hardened Bolt" as a ranged ability when "Bow Form" isn't available. Bow Form has a chance to stun enemies with every attack, and additionally can also use Impale to halt advancing enemies.
- The Beast Titan will now start in either Ape or Bull form. Ape form specialises in ranged combat, while Bull Form is a strong melee fighter. The form is random for each game.
- Removed "Coordinate" and "Remove Armour" from the Founding Titan.
- Moved "Blood Mist" and "Create Titans" from the Beast Titan to the Founding Titan.
- All Founding Titan abilities, save for "Blood Mist", can now be cast map-wide or have map-wide effects.
- Added the "Beast Adaption" ability to the Beast Titan.
- The Cart Titan can now use the "Leap" ability.

- Upon being reduced to below 2000 health, The Armoured Titan will become unarmoured and will have weaker versions of some of its abilities. In order to regain its armour, it must regenerate its health above 3000.
- Removed the Armoured Titan's "Shift Armour" ability.
- Increased effects of the Armoured Titan's "Armoured Fists" and "Hardened Plates" abilities.
- Titan's (excepting Pure Titans) now regenerate health during the day and night.
- Pure Titans (except Abnormals) now sleep at night.
- Fixed some bugs.

I don't quite understand how power taking works. Should you get some bonus/aura or something on you? I didn't see anything. Also, the purple titans trigger the power taking message after they kill a player titan. There's no leaderboard to know how...

It's an Arena based map, not capture the flag. The latter means you have to bring some thing from one point to another and generally repeat the process. The enemy has to do the same but in reverse.

Anyways, the game is rather simplistic and not that repeatable, the biggest giant being an easy target as everyone gets rid of it first and it cannot have a proper final blow to convert anyone to its side. Right now, I'm feeling the map lacks variety but most importantly proper balance.

The balance certainly needs some work. I'll spend some time in an attempt to think of ways to do this. Hopefully others will share their ideas regarding Full House PVP as I'm unable to test that aspect myself.

The Colossal Titan being swarmed from the beggining was something I worried about, and was hoping to remedy through "Burning Sky", but obviously being swarmed by all Titans, including its three biggest threats (Warhammer, Beast and Cart) would mitigate it. I'll probably buff it a bit at some point but I'll have to wait for some time. Hopefully it won't take too long.

As for replayability, this is also something I was worried about but aside from balancing it I don't currently see a way to fix this. I'll have to think on it.

Once Season 4 is complete (Hopefully by April) I'll have more information to work with, but there should be some form of update before then, if only to fix the Swarming problem.

Yeah. I think you could work with different attack mechanics. For instance, the big dude could hit multiple targets at once and have some AoE spells with smaller cooldown but a 1-2 cast time. That way the other titans have to micromanage in order not to get hit. This creates better gameplay IMO with emphasis on action and reflexes. That way the big monster has a real chance to convert others and actually kill someone.

That's rather a simple matter to take care of. Just think of various game modes. Take some inspiration form other maps/games of the genre, even shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament. You could add reappearing power ups in various parts of the map (just gotta make sure, the faster dudes won't get them all the time). A mode where all titans have to fight together against swarms of enemies/humans would be an idea. You could also play more with randomization, say if everyone dies or only one remains, the game restarts and you might get to be a new/random titan. Stuff like that.
Oh and since you put this as capture the flag the first time, maybe make such a game mode either as team PvP or even a FFA capture the flag mode.

I actually made a mistake regarding Ally Mode last update (the actual activation is "-HM") that I only realised while I was working on the next. The problem will not be fixed as the gamemode is being removed and the whole game is going through a massive change to make it both easier to develop and more interesting.

There's no leaderboard to know how many mindless titans you kill in competitive mode (I guess you can see your own instead of lumber). There's also no progression. The purple enemies are all pretty much the same all over again. There might also be a problem if you can't regenerate and for instance lose health as the colossus does, in order to achieve your goal of beating everything.

Anyways, I'm pretty dissatisfied with the update after so long. I've expected polish and gameplay enhancement. There's much repetitiveness and simplistic mechanics.

Simple.

Taking of power will be addressed in a future update. As of now the message is just a placeholder and an announcement that the corresponding Shifter has been killed.

I'll add a Leaderboard as soon as I can, once I figure out how to do it.

The Pure Titans (I assume that's what you mean by "Purple Titans"?) are not supposed to have much uniqueness about them as there isn't much in the anime and they don't really take priority in the map.

The Colossal only passively loses mana. Health is only drained when Scalding Steam is active. Both of these are drawbacks meant to balance the power of the Colossal.

The update mainly took so long due to the large amount of features changed and added; it may not seem like much, but it really was a large overhaul. Other reasons include work on other maps, plain old distractions, and other issues outside of Warcraft. I'm working on the next update, but I can't say when it will come. This map was a rather ambitious project that is somewhat difficult to effectively test, but nonetheless it is one of my favourite that I have developed and I will continue to work on it.

This was a rather long-winded reply, so I'll cut myself short. I'm happy that it got approved. Hopefully it will inspire some more comments on what can be done going forward.

I appreciate the review and feedback

This has some potential, since an AOT-themed game is a rare find in Warcraft 3. I'm looking forward to the next update, hopefully you get to find and use actual AOT titan models soon. :infl_thumbs_up:
Thank you very much for the kind words

I'm currently taking a short break from Warcraft, but the next update is still in the works.
