AoE Phoenix

Phoenix is a summon ability, and you want an AOE (Area of effect) Phoenix?
This mean:

a- You want multiple phoenix to be created in an area (Rain of Chaos)
b- You want a phoenix to be created that will create an AOE effect in the summoning AOE (Inferno)
c- You want something else that I don't understand.

C- he wants to add an AOE ability to the pheonix like endurance aura or trueshot aura.

Sorry, I mean I made a spell from phoenix fire (that spell that is pretty much the same as a barrage) and I need help adding a AoE effect to the spell instead of hitting just one unit.

Events
Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
Conditions
(Ability being cast) Equal to Lurker
Actions
Unit - Cause (Casting unit) to damage circular area after 0.00 seconds of radius 200.00 at (Target point of ability being cast), dealing 100.00 damage of attack type Pierce and damage type Normal

Or does a auto target spell not effect "Target point of ability being cast"?

AOE Phoenix Fire

If I would made a phoenix fire based spell and adding AoE Effect to it, I would made a detection trigger which checks the Buff every 0.1 seconds (or less) and picking the unit(s) with phoenix fire buff -> AOE Damage.

Here is an example, which may work (I haven't tested this).

  • Events
  • Time - Every 0.10 seconds of game time
  • Conditions
  • Actions
  • Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in (Playable map area) matching (((Picked unit) has buff Phoenix Fire) Equal to True)) and do (Unit - Cause (Random unit from (Unit withing 2000.00 of (Position of (Picked unit)) matching ((Level of Phoenix Fire for (Matching unit)) Equal to 1 ))) to damage circular area after 0.00 seconds of radius 250.00 of (Position of (Picked unit)), dealing 150.00 Damage of attack type Spells and damage type Fire)
  • Unit - Remove Phoenix Fire buff from (Picked unit)

Right, this would work... But what if the picked unit is anally? The spell won't cast. So, when fighting with nearby friend it may attack randomly, But it may try to attack some ally, making a delay cause they can't attack.

... Do you understand?
