Gravity Crush

The target unit is slowed down for the 5 seconds, the slow factor is small at the start and increases during the duration. (like at first second, 20% slow, then after 2 seconds, 40% slow and so on...)

Then at the end of the duration, the target will be damaged by the amount (intelligence*spell level)

finally, an ability thread!

quick combo/something like that
The hero launches a few attackes (Punches, arrow shots, spells, whatever you like) at the target unit, stuning it while attacking.
It's a channeled ability, so while it's chanelled, the enemy is stunned and recieves the specific amount of damage depending from agility of the hero.

Whirlthwind/Swing Attack
Hero quickly spins around once, damaging and probably knocking back the surrounding enemies. Damage depends from strenght.

This one will work only if the critical chances systems are trriger based, but might work in other situations too:
Battle concentration
The hero spends his mana while ability is on, but his critical and evasion chances are increased. This one is related to mana amount quite a lot since it requires a lot of it...

Charge
The hero quickly runs to the targer area not far away with high speed, becomming invulnerable for a moment and dealing damage to all the enemies on his way. Damage depends from strenght.

Purification
The hero removes all the effects from himself, including both positive and negative.

Nah only squire can use this animation and I need spells for all hero classes.

Nah I don't want to use blink like spells for now :)
Purification
For now there is no 2 many creep abilities, but as soon as I add some skeleton mages and so on, this can be interesting :)

Erm Charge is not like blink, it's like a straightforward movement for some time. Though it would work only for Squire...

Yea, so that fast combo would be like small speed increase with a stun for some time.

More ideas:
Paralizing blast
Hero attacks the target enemy, decreasing target's movement speed drastically for some time and decreasing the movement speed of other enemies that are surrounding the target a bit.

since you want a different type of skill/spell. here are some of my ideas:

Change weapon: Not based from Dota's Troll Warlord Skills, but to consider a unique way of playing a different skill, try making a spell that can fit to all of your class types, example Change your weapon into melee you'll get + strength but - agility, and tag range in vice-versa.

Link Spells: Remember Pandaren Brewmaster's Epic combo skills when you add Breath of Fire with Drunken Haze? here's my sample, make a spell that can amplify or can be applied with another spell. if you can make an idea out of it.

Squire -> Increase hit points, life regeneration and magic resistance.

Monk -> Increase evasion and movement speed.

Are the icons definitive? We all know the Warcraft III aura icons, no one is going to blame you for using them. But if you look at them and then look at the spell, you see they don't match at all. A Haste aura and the icon is a green fist with a club? Life regeneration is a helmet in a field of orange? Weakness is an icon full of flares? Some of the icons have nothing to do with the spell and then you lose the purpose of the icon. For me, an icon is used to identify a spell in a blink of an eye.

The caster targets a friendly unit and links the caster to the target. After this, the targets health becomes equal to of that of the caster.

Brutal Strike
The caster jumps to the target unit and then attacks the target. After it is done, the caster returns back to their former location.

Heroism
The caster selects a friendly unit in battle and speeds toward the position of the target unit then blocks the enemy, forcing the enemy to battle the caster.

What abaut

Frost strike

Frezes the enemy target to the ground for X seconds dealing Y damageevery secound in frost damage.

Fireball

Hits all enemys in selected location dealing X damage. The explosion knocks all enemys close to the ball on the ground for Y secounds dealing Z additinoal damage every secound.

Great to hear and huge thanks for rep :) in normal surcomstances I would have give you some rep diractly but since I've tossed ot all rep to random people you have to wait 22 hours :S

Okej here's 2 warrior spells/abilities

Killing Frenzy

The Warrior goes into a frenzy making him deal X% extra damage and he also takes Y% more damage. This spell consumes Z Energy/Mana per second and the frenzy ends when it is deactivated or the warrior have no Energy/Mana.

Tossing Wepons

The warrior tosses his axe like a bomerang throwing it so it deals X damage in a huge area just to return to him after Y seconds. While the axe is throwed the warrior can not attack.

Maybe for the Tossing Weapon, maybe it could go like this:

The caster throws his weapon in a boomerang-like manner and it picks up fast speed. Whenever the weapon hits a unit in its way, it slows down. If the speed becomes zero, his weapon is dropped on the ground. If the caster casts this, he is unable to attack, due to lack of weapon.

Well _Kobas- asked no custom icons, so you could find an ingame icon for that, I suppose.
Frenzy could have mountain King's Avatar On/Off, or maybe paladin's Divine shield on/off.
Actually some abilities could have special ammo in inventory required (Actually, that could even be related to one of professions), like special throwing daggers and small axes... and boomerangs.

Well yeah, but for most of auras it does apply. I mean, most of auras with same effect in melee warcraft have the same looks.

Warcraft III has its shortcomings and the icons are one of them. Does that mean map-makers should do it exactly the same? Because Blizzard did it like that, map-makers can't do it better? Sad world you have.
 
It's really hard to keep up with huge credit list and over 1300 already imported resources, also large number of awesome icon makers here on hive use different stile (some are more some are less different than blizzard one), so I don't want to have 1 fireball icon created by 1 art stile and another spell by another, so point is I will use blizzard ones as much as I can. Map has already around 8MB, I will try to save that value.

I have some:


1. Shield Bash

The Squire bashes his shield to the enemy unit. But due to tremendous force applied, he drops his shield. The enemy is stunned and knocked back a little.

2. Shield Rush
BTNSpellBreakerMagicDefend.png

The Squire rushes forward with his shield raised. Any units in his way will be damaged, knocked back and stunned for a short while.

3. Axe Strengthen

The Squire focuses his energy on his weapon and makes it stronger. It gives him bonus attack damage.


1. Poison Arrows

The Ranger poisons every arrow the Ranger fires. This causes the enemy to have an x percent chance to be poisoned.

2. Black Arrow
BTNTheBlackArrow.png

The Ranger fires a deadly arrow. But the shot fired is also very inaccurate due to tremendous power used. If it hits, the enemy is greatly damaged to the dangerous chemicals placed. Can only hit weaker enemies.

3. Bullseye

The Ranger will have an x percent chance for the Black Arrow not to miss.


1. Spell Taunt

The Sorceror makes all casting units nearby him make him as the target of the ability. All units which did this are placed with a Spell Taunt buff.

2. Karma Spell

All units with a Spell Taunt buff are damaged by the damage inflicted to the Sorceror. But this spell gravely depletes the Sorceror's mana.

3. Magic Symbol
BTNAnimalWarTraining.png

The Sorceror creates a magic symbol at the ground. Any ally which is in that symbol becomes faster while any enemy in that symbol becomes slower.


1. Evasion
BTNInvisibility.png

The Monk will have an x percent chance to evade incoming attacks and strike back.

2. Calm Mind
BTNManaShield.png

The Monk clams his mind. This allows him to focus more and to deal extra damage.

3. Fast Footed
BTNSlippersOfAgility.png

The Monk's movement speed and attack speed shall increase when this is activated.


1. One with the Shadows
BTNAuraOfDarkness.png

The Thief will be unseen when no unit is in x of the Thief.

2. Jump
BTNAmbush.png

The Thief suddenly jumps nearby a unit and then attacks it. This causes great damage.

3. Night Form
BTNVengeanceIncarnate.png

The Thief takes form of a complete shadow, making him unseen when night but greatly damaged when day.

Night Form should get modified, so instead of recieving damage it would be unuseable at day. And would probably decrease the movement speed. Jump could be renamed to Leap.
Shield bash shouldn't drop the shield, but instead have a long recharge time and I think stun and damage could be enough for an effect.

Anyways, great ideas, I love them, though I'm not sure for ones suggested for Ranger.

Yes and what I'm saying is that you might as well use icons that have something in common with the aura you took the icon for. It's not that you can only use aura icons for auras. It takes seconds to convert them with a simple converter. And, thanks for the reminder.

When it comes to singleplayer maps, the bigger*, the better :)

*I mean the necceseary stuff that's immportant, not useless junk.

Oh, and I just got an idea of un-targetable channeled ability that when channeled restores your mana (and possibly HP, too) over time (And has some recharge time if there's Hp regen, too) while channeling and makes you unable to attack or whatever.
I'm sure that name "Meditation" and Sleep icon (Lazy to upload it here, but that's one of Dreadlord's ability icons) would work for it. Oh, it would mostly fit to monk, but other classes could use it, too.

In World of Warcraft, hunters have an ability to scare beast, making him flee and not attack anyone for some time. So yes, I suggest an ability which would force enemy non-undead, non-boss unit to flee in terror, unable to attack for some short period of time. But after that the monster would attack you.This could be useful when fighting a group os tw or more strong enemies, when you can beat one at a time, but more area problem. So you just terrify one of them, and kill another one while the first is runing in circles.

Edit: one more, "Battle rage". Makes unit recieve more damage, but recieves mana for every attack dealt.

I think you dont need so much eford on making healing spell cuz its an SPRPG so you can only heal yourself and posibly a pet if you are Ranger thats all...you could simply add some potion that will not imidiately (bad English) refull your heald but slowly...ya now...or you could add potion level like :

Lvl 1 - slow reg.

Lvl 2 - med reg.

Lvl 3 - fast reg.

and so on ... :)

Terror Aura:
Losing all nearby enemy life per second

Richofelles Aura:
Increases the near ally armor

Dork:
That damage, Dealt: your critical damage + spell damage

Soul Gate:
Create an circle of soul.
That will damage all unit on there.

Raging Storm:
That damage per second near u

Unholy Stregth:
Increases max nearby ally life, and Decreases all nearby enemy life.

Shadow attack:
Will follow unit, and attack them, per attack, bonus +spell damage.
attack speed equal to u AS.

Soul Reaver:
Absorb Life all nearby enemy for percentage.

Durian:
Every u get attack, damage attacking unit that type of hero attack type.

Shadow of the Past:
Call past of shadow, that damage all unit on (anythink u want).

The value like damage dll. is anythink u want.
