A Shopkeeping Simulator with RPG Influences (Looking for Triggerer(s)

Disclaimer: I am a creative individual, designer, terrainer and modeller, but I hate and suck at doing triggers. I'm looking for someone to co-develop and trigger my visions. I'm willing to pay for the work once the map is completed.

The idea is a map where you assume the role of a Shopkeeper and run a store within the streets of the Capital City of Lordaeron set in a time basically on or just before Reign of Chaos. The gameplay loop consists of importing raw items (think grain. animal pelts, lumber, ore, herbs, ect) and then utilize the backroom of your shop to turn those raw materials into bread, ale, leather armor, bows, swords, armor, potions, ect by utilizing stuff like an oven, mill, brewery, tanning racks, forge, cauldron, ect.

The finished items can be put on shelves/armor stands/tables/potion racks, ect which your shopkeeper is able to build out of lumber.

Villagers, farmers, soldiers, elves, dwarves, WoW-style Adventurers and possibly even characters from the campaign or cult members all have a chance to visit your shop, seeking items you are selling (its NOT like one of those lame tavern sims where customers ask for an item and you get X seconds to prepare it) They seek items you are selling, thats it.

Customers leave stains, trash and debris around them and your shelves' condition degrade over time, making passing NPCs less likely to become patrons. The better your shop is maintained, the more patronage you get.

Every time you repair a shelf, clear some debris, clean some stains, ect your shopkeeper receives EXP. Leveling up expands the selection of materials you can order to import, allows you to upgrade shelves (increases base sell prices of items placed on them) and expand the areas of your shop. (Think adding a garden to grow herbs/grains, expand the backroom, add a tavern section, ect).

Then I also like mechanics like thieves, promotional signs you can build, hiring staffs, limited events, special orders, export mechanic, ect.

The map could have a Co-op mode, competitive mode and single-player mode. In competitive mode we should add ways player can sabotage one-another.

I also like a mechanic where you can hire Adventurers, give them the weapons/armor/potions/ect that YOU made and send them off to things like dungeons to fetch you gold/treasures/unique crafting materials/epic gear/ect. And offcourse, your shopkeeper also gets to wear and use items to help them keep their shop safe/stopping thieves.

And from there, I have a lot more ideas:
Hitches: allowing customers to arrive on horse (less stain chance, slightly wealthier than other customers)
Discounts: Buy a certain material in bulk for a discounted price, but it has a chance to arrive with a catch (rats scaring customers, weevils ruining crops in your garden, termites ruining condition of your shelves, ect)
Shady figures: Try sell you an unique item for a ludicrous price, but it has a chance to be worthless junk
Bee Keeping: Build bee houses in the garden, producing honey to make Mead, which is in great demand to Dwarves
Material upgrade costs: Upgrading shelves past a certain tier could require certain ores/ingots or other materials from the import mechanic
Promotions: For example putting up a sign saying "ELVES ARE WELCOME", increasing Elf Patronage by 15%, but Garithos will occasionally blackmail or vandalize your shop, greatly reducing patronage from humans until you clean the damages.

I have tons more ideas, if anyone is interested in developing this project with me, please reach out.

It does sound like a pretty interesting idea for a map. I tend to specialize in writing JASS code and do actually enjoy creating systems.

I released my own map a little while back, but that style of map just isn't as popular as it used to be. Feel free to take a look at it to see what sort of things I've created though.

If you think I'm the right fit, feel free to send me a DM and we can... talk shop.

An interesting map premise! I love simulation maps like loaps, spent hours playing these.

The hire adventurers mechanic reminds of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale though I barely played that.

I'm also interested in developing this project if you have me though I must inform you that I'm only on lower patch versions (1.31/1.27) and only know GUI triggering. I primarily made altered melee maps though I do plan to made other kinds of maps in the future.
