Has anyone every tried to make a wall in which units can actually stand on/walk up a ramp to get ontop of wall? is it even possible to model that?

I dont think that is possible but dont quote me on that

Only way it could be done is thru invisible platforms I think.

Its easy. I have a few walls lying around that allow it

Just need a nice custom path and boom, done. The Gaiascape pack, which is probably at www.wc3campaigns.net somewhere, has some orcish walls which you can walk up
