Ok, so i was working on a map and we used the template for Dota (i don't really know why but we did) and i've made all the heroes and triggered them all like mad but the terrain itself sucks like hell. So what i wanted to do was get a person to start a terrain adn import all the stuff i had. The problem is, i'm not sure how. I want to move specific units to the map, i want to move other generic units as well adn i also want to move custom made abilities. Triggers themselves are not hard to transfer, but the way i set them up, is that they respond only to a specific unit on the map. Now i simply tried to import these things onto another map using w3mpq and simply interating those things into the map but that didn't go too good.In fact it didn't work and said there were errors.

So my question is, can i import anything that i need from one map to another whithout taking everything?

My second question is that on the terrain i was working on, when i lowered the terrain level to the minimum, i was left with this giant black think line that went accros the map. It doesn't show up on the terrain, but it acts as an ungo-on-able terrain. It's ass if a part of the map has litterally been taken out.

If anybody can explain this or answer my question it would be really helpfull.

thanks.

Well, i'm not really sure. but here goes.

There is no easy way to copy all those things into your other map. The triggers, spells and units are all to be done manually, as far as i know, nobody made a tool for it. (and i hope they never will, considering thieves).

Secondly, your black line, i think that's because the map is too low, so you get a boundary, the limit of the engine. All maps are built in a box, like all 3d games, the world is inside a big box, so i figure if you hit bottom, there'll be nothing else but blackness.
Does raising the terrain fix it? if so just raise it one or two units, and you're fine.
