It's worth trying for sure. I recommend to start with following some tutorial as it can be a bit overwhelimg when you first open the editor and have no clue what's going on.
I had only some basics in C# and it is managable. You gotta start small of course. But at least basic knowledge of programming principles like variables, classes and such is required I'd say.

Lot of people will stick to classic models anyways. Especially when creating new race it would be too limiting to stick to using just Reforged building models.
I mean I can understand that new things don't work. But they fucked up stuff that was already there and on top of that they straight up removed several features even for people who do not own Reforged. That is just inexcusable blunder.
I really don't want to mod for Reforged because of the need to edit all textures (dds, some maps for shaders or wtf). It makes quickly editing stuff to suit my needs take too long. If the above mentioned issues with effects and glows are resolved I would probably stick with classic. Also I don't...
