You sure have a lot of things in there o_o
Anyway, I just guess that "IsPathBlocked" might be useful :P
I will try that later, thanks.
I tried those because they were the most straight and common-sense approach, didn't think much about effectiveness... But I should have imagined that they...
After millions of years away from the Hive and map editing, I have come back for a while with a few ideas to try out.
One of them is a TD with dynamic path check. That is, the path will be checked at the moment a player places a tower.
The arena is always rectangular...
This might be because of the set bj_wantDestroyGroup = true.
That script may be destroying LightningStormGroup, therefore your trigger will only work in the first time it runs (when this group still exists). When it's destroyed, the following executions will fail.
Try removing that line and...
(not with WE to check it) I guess "Units" is your hashtable.
You never set the hashtable variable to the created hashtable.
You have to do something like:
Hashtable - Create a hashtable
Set Units = (Last Created Hashtable)
Hello there :D
Back into editing with Starcraft II! xD
I'm crazy with so many features to edit @[email protected]
But the size of the buttons in the tool bar (in the editor itself) is annoying me. They're too big in my opinion.
(And the ones to the right won't show in my PC as it's not widescreen. Not a big...
I never found a situation in which And - All (Conditions) are true could be useful...
The problem is that I can only use it in the trigger conditions or IF conditions, where I can already see each condition in separate lines (and the "And" is already implicit).
But in functions that have...
To hide the icon you'll have to use a spellbook. It's an ability that holds other abilities, and when you click it those abilities inside the spellbook are shown.
However if you disable this ability for all players and add it to a unit, the passive skills inside it will still work as if the...
When we talk about MUI or MPI we're not talking about usefulness, exactly. We're talking about being able to be used simultaneously by more than one player (MPI) or unit (MUI). It's useful for some things, not for others.
For example, take a hero selection system such as double-clicking.
I think you know it, but MUI stands for Multi Unit Instanceable, and MPI for Multi Player Instanceable.
That is, MPI systems/spells/snippets can be used by every player simultaneously without malfunctioning, but generally not by every unit simultaneously. In Pharao's example, the sound would be...
Hi people :P
I have a simple question: I'm making a Damage over time struct that is linked to a buff - that is, if the target does not have a certain buff anymore, the damage is cancelled. To do so I check all instances every short period, like 0.1 sec.
Would you recommend me to:
1. Use a...
Check the existance of all variables. I guess FI_FallHeight is missing, for some reason...
These lines are in Feral Impact Move trigger, below the Customization #3 tag. Check if any variable used there is missing.
If this is not the problem it'd help if you posted what error the parser shows :P
Here's a small WIP... No heroes yet, just the resource "system" xD
Am I in the right path to the light of this contest?
Edit: for those who tried to play it and bleh, I've fixed the map. Probably had problems when renaming it and not saving it again.
Known bugs (oh noes, already?)
As far as I can understand the heroes' name case... We have to choose "classes" (that is, not the proper name, but the name itself) that fit the race lore. Example, I couldn't use "Outland Druid" as a Night Elf hero as there's no druid from Outland as far as I remember xP
I was just kidding about hacking the game, but I've looked at previous contests as you suggested and got it :P
Now time to work \o/
I think I'm gonna mix druids with ents - they seem to go well together...
Do new heroes must exist in the warcraft lore? That is, in melee games the heroes are not...
This was made as a mainly GUI spell... You're not supposed to work with raw codes at all.
Maybe you have the old version of the map? I've made (really) significant changes from the first one to the second.
Instead of changing raw codes, you have to update the Initialize trigger to the abilities...
How are we supposed to put our race in the template map?
Trigger a little system to choose the new race as if we would play a melee map in Warcraft?
Just place the new race town hall and peons in the map and delete the Initialization Trigger?
Hack the MPQ and make Warcraft think the new race is...
I have tried using integers like InfinateAnswers said. However that way I get another problem:
local integer Percent = Time/TrainingTime*50
//50 is the size of a life bar, let's say
That will always return 0 or 1 no matter what value that division results. I've also tried using R2I in all...
Hello there :D
I've run into a strange problem here... An arithmetic comparison simply fails:
set Time = Time + 0.05
if Time >= TrainingTime then
call this.Finish() // This will create a unit
This portion of code is run every 0.05 second. However the method Finish is only called...
The problem is in the trigger repeating time.
If you take a closer look in the trigger, you'll see it counts the time the spell has been running in the line:
Set TO_Duration[to] = (TO_Duration[to] - 0.10)
That is, by default, the trigger was set to run every 0.10 second - that's why the...
I don't think so... The max number of instances should be decreased whenever an instance finishes executing -- the else above that action runs only when Max != 1, that is, when there are more than 1 instance still running.
Are you sure? The other skills are like that, too.
Ok, I'm already doing any changes that are necessary :P
In one or two days I'll update...
You mean, even the icons and the effect?
The orc model I agree it's unecessary, but...
I'm removing them anyway.
Would it be enough to make it skippable by pressing esc?
This map contains 4 spells which fits for a barbarian hero. Not very creative, though, I know.
Feral Impact: The well-known leap-attack
Bonebreaker: The well-known knockback
Battle Fury: Increases attack speed when uses a spell. Bonus vanishes slowly...
