Trojan Wall V.2.0b

Map Idea:
I made this map like i did it in Age of Mythology, a game better graphics then this. So I decided to make one for War craft III. Its Strategic and needs time (i know you hate long games but this is fun) and if you win/lose I promise you that you will have fun. And NO, the map is not about the trojan war, just because its called Trojan wall. I called it this way because, the clashes, fights, chaos, anger, blood hunger, and destruction is like the Trojan war.

How To Play:
1. Choose your race
2. Train workers (NOT BUILDERS) to get lumber for you
3. Build your army
4. Team up with your allies
5. 15 min until gates open (trust me, you need 15)
6. counter your enemy by watching their strategy
7. Get smart, and build outposts
8. always remember to keep backup, even if you are winning. You never know what happens :)
9. Use your gold to train titans.
10. There is no food cap for the army
11. There is no Upkeep (don't worry about it, if it popped out on you)
12. HF and pawn your enemy :D

Please Play 2v2 or more, 1v1 is kinda boring (no skill = no fun).

The Races:

The Humans and Blood Elves:
Humans and blood elves, the humans controlled and slaved the blood elves and broke the promise of peace between them. They are balanced and normal nothing so special, but also nothing bad.

The Orcs, Trolls, and Taurens:
Orcs, Trolls, and Taurens, by raging a war with the humans many years, they finaly agreed to combine their army to defeate their enemy. Expensive and low armored beasts. The unarmored barbarians have massive damage and can crush many opponents quickly.

The Undead:
The Undead race, never got along, three types: Lich followers, Necros, and Sylvanus Followers. These great armies if only they got togather...they are little bit expansive but crazy and fast.

The Night Elf:
Night Elves, by watching how Humans, Orcs, and Undead, and many other races destroy their beloved trees, they call apone their greatest titan to end this once and for all. Night elfs, are VERY expensive. Great defenders, but low damage for many units, but also many buildings can attack melee units.

The Naga:
The Naga Race, they came from the deep sea to take their revenge upon the land people for destroying their own home under water with their shameful wars. Naga units are highly defended, but low Hp.

The Polars
The Polars, came all the way from the south and north pole, to show the other races what their race can do. Balanced, some cheap and bad. Use them right, to be right.

To get wood is.....to cut wood?
there are no heroes, but there are Titans ( which they will change the game )

Okay, here's some stuff to point out:
- Fix are always a bit random, "Nagas Lair" had Altar of Kings texture :S
- Builders with 50000 dmg? I suppose massing builders then is win...instantly killing everything (even Titans).
- Siren-voiced Basilisk for Naga...change the voice please xD
- Fix tooltips.
- Fix selection circles.
- A Shade with attack but with no targets allowed? I can't attack units if there are no targets allowed...
- Many typos, but the text is still readable, so it doesn't matter (much).
- Spellcasters are OP when you upgrade them! They gain tremendous HP...
- Fix colission and pathing...and shadows...my buildings take up huge space, but are small. Their shadow is also huge.
- Give proper credits. :/
- So many reused models...
- UD and NE Titan production buildings are shops...? UD even sells items. At least NE Titan Production building doesn't, but can "Select Hero/User".
- "THIS IS NOTHING" is Uproot's tooltip...just remove the ability. Except for the Night Elven titan, else, it'd be stuck.
- Terrain is...plain. 95% is grass :/
- Use BB Codes to improve description.

I stopped playing after trying out NEs, I got tired...you can improve the map if you work on it, but right now, it needs a lot of fixing :p

i know you hate long games but this is fun
Umm....depends on the player, some people do, some people don't.

lol every 30 minutes of gameplay?
i don't think that players will stay in for so long...
also 15 minutes before openning gate is too much...better set to 5...
also instead of making by gathering lumber make it with incomes...
for example when train a unit and you spend 30 lumber,you get +10 income...

anyway the game is good but far from finished 3/5 for now ;p

Terrain seems very plain and simple from the preview image. Please use only one map type, you are currently using three, preferred if you choose the one closest to the maps type of game play. The description can be improved, here's a list of BB Codes to help you. Take a look at the other maps on the Hive, you could at least make the description at their standards.

Seriously now, every map or two I check light bolt is there, adivising the newcomers about the wonderful BB Codes.

It is becoming hilarious by now. Oh well.

About the builders, some maps usually have builders with huge attack to be able to destroy their buildings instantly (Vampirism) but even if he only allowed them to destroy buildings, they could target the enemy's buildings. At Vampirism for instance, that is not a problem because the only destructibe building Vampire has (at least on Beast) drains HP per second, so the humans builders certainly won't try destroying them themselfs.

I know what AoM is like. All the maps are like this on there. Anyway, guy.

The concept isnt too bad but you need to change this whole map before it will be accepted.

1. Add Terrain
2. Have an optional starting delay
3. A better description. I cant be bothered downloading this as it is and i dont think anyone else will be. Describe the units and things, and use BBcode.

You might want to get this done quick smart before the map is rejected.

The terrain is very plain and boring... a few doodads, a bit raise/lower and perhaps the most important of all: tile variation could greatly improve it.

The gameplay is pretty straight-forward: build an army, kill the enemy when you have the chance (or die trying).
I also don't see any reference to a trojan wall (I thought you had to sneak into the enemy base somehow, but apparantly it's just a gate that opens after a certain time).
Also, it's a 'natural' wall (which looks very unnatural because it's done with cliffs by the way), so Trojans couldn't have built it.
Actually it's just a gate, nothing more.

The triggers are a mess, you needed 15 triggers to tell people how many minutes were left for the gate to be opened (could easily be 1 trigger).
There are just so many triggers which can be combined and/or improved...

The objects are okay (not too balanced: the raged ghoul gets owned by 3 ghouls while the price is the equivalent of nearly 7 ghouls, there are more of these cases).
But you almost know how the damage formula works (to get 500 damage, the base damage needs to be 499 by the way).


This map needs some heavy changes.

Actually, I believe only your friends (or even only yourself) can see the screenshots.
You picked them from an album on your profile which is private, thus it has nothing to do with his connection, only with your album settings.

This map is pretty fun, I didn't think I was actually playing for a while until I noticed I had 2 gold :D

4/5 as it is still in the growing process. Hope to see more from this map, keep it up!! =)

don't worry about the "Negative", i just gave some suggestions ;)

Positive:
your map seem to be fun in multiplayer with masses of units, i tested it only alone for now.
seems like your races with all the units and upgrades are well balanced.
There're some nice icons, i love good looking icons ;)
Nice map description!
A very cool loading screen!

Negative:
i think you already know it: The terrain :D
there're some simple ways to improve terrain, even if it's only changeing the floor to combined green and dark green gras to make it look a bit more realistic. (I know your map is based on gameplay, but as you're finished with the gameplay triggers you may work on the terrain?)
Your triggers might work, but you could put some triggers into only one to have a better overview!

i didn't test it for a long time, so please forgive me if i did a mistake by pointing out something wrong!

If you have any questions on terraining or making triggers more effective, just send me a message!

Sorry about my recent short comments for this map got really some internet problems.
Somehow i haven't played the map so far yet so i'm sorry for making a rate.
But as of from what i've played
The map is fun when played with many people.

The systems works well and balanced.

Can't make a ratio ratings yet but here are some suggestions.

Don't worry on working too hard for the terrain just add some diversities or a little life to make it not plain grass coz it's boring. But on this kind of map doesn't matter much just the strategic areas. For example a tight highland were rangers could strike well and stuffs.
But still improve the terrain simply.

Make diverse and different heroes for each races. (Make it uniquely different.)
For example this ones a fighter, the other a caster, the other for auras and gold bonuses. Just make sure the heroes aren't Godlike.

Add more race soon when the game will get more balanced as of the current races.

The gameplay is quiet simple and straight. (Squish the enemies!)
make events, make some modes try these... capture the flag, kill the hydra, reach 1million kills or even catch the chicken and zombie apocalypse.

Getting AIs could be good too.
Adding a minimap could be attractive.
