Tides of Darkness 1.01

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This map was made to bring back the old-classic feeling of Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness, it is based on the game Warcraft II with some small differences,
the map uses alot of Models from Red XIII and even some sounds and icons from Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft II:Tides of Darkness.

Credits are given to each and single respective model creator and to
Blizzard Entertainment for Sounds and Icons.

19:17, 25th Feb 2011 -Kobas-: Status: Rejected You made same errors again. Terrain is really bad, add few more different tiles instead using only grass. Few bad triggers do not make altered melee map.

Also.. Terrain wasnt ever realy that nice in Warcraft 2

Okay, let's point out some stuff :p

  • Oil Tankers, Eyes of Kilrogg, Runes have Alliance-icon (Hero) armor symbol. Also Gold Mines too...Okay about the Gold Mines, but for Horde units?
  • Why are destroyers so small?
  • Juggernaut has artillery attack (attack ground is available) but with no area of effect...
  • Giant Sea Turtle? More like Tiny Sea Turtle.
  • Oil is useless, I have to magically get my ship to land to mine it.
  • Some hotkeys are like this: [Spell Name (Hotkey)] and some others like [Sp(e)ll Name]...please use one of these ;) either outside the name of the tooltip/spell or inside.
  • How am I supposed to research Ensnare and Pillage for Raiders? Please remove those abilities XP
  • Daemons have Doom Guard spells, and if I remember correctly, they were flying (and ranged), not ground and melee...or if I don't, nvm then.
  • The screen once faded out, black...and couldn't play.
  • Fog effects! I only saw pinkness when playing as the Alliance for the first time.
  • Vorpal Blades for Ballistas?
  • Why do Knights have 1 Mana?
  • Is it me, or do Peasants turn into Advanced Construction Peasants faster than peons?
  • Tiny Gnomish Submarine! XP
  • I only hear Orcish death sounds when I kill sth.... (and it bugs sometimes and loops)
  • I can cast fireshield onto structures! I don't know if this is supposed to happen btw...but still, it doesn't affect any unit that attacks it, lol.
  • Fireshield is imbalanced, it kills anything in seconds! I don't remember how it was in WC2, but if it was like that, nvm.
  • I can cast Exorcism onto my own units
  • Sargeras' selection circle is too small.
  • Hammer of Thunder has a passive icon, use the upgrade icon for Storm Hammers instead of the Passive one :p
  • I think Shadows in the map aren't probably calculated, and I sometimes see random shadows.
  • Dragons and Gryphons have 150HP , while they have 100HP in WC2.

But FINALLY, a WC2 map that Dragons and Gryphons work properly....with LoE damage that is.

Noted, also the Daemons are ground becourse there wasnt a proper flying model for them... as they still tend to wield their inferno-like blades tossing them from the air... so yeah.. hard to find so i decided to go with normal Daemon.... also bugs noted... fixing them up shouldnt take too long..

No problem xP and yep, but some models look like Daemons, only without the blade. The blade could be attached tho xP But nevermind, it's not such a biggie that they're ground units. Also I like how you included custom, non-WC2 but WC2-like units, in the game :D You did a good job with the map

.... How are the triggers not working as intended?....
and ever seen the PRO-Melee-Game maps?... they litteraly remove anything
thats overkilling terrain in terms of decoration and merely go for stability and mobility....

State to me exactly what is wrong with the map in-general?... rather than just
straight on rejecting... leave constructive criticism or dont bother at all..
