Nice Cinematic though I found something that is messy on your work, the Terrain was so plain, it would be nice if you could add more environmental displays and such, the storyline is a mystery but its up to you to make more, and the story, it would be great if they would look at each other while talking, the "Orc Prince?" is too big even without the bloodlust spell, the cinematic was good, but atleast you could add some more cool things in my observations.

OK, a cinematic! Looks pretty basic if you just judge the map by its minimap, but don't worry, I tested it (something most probably wouldn't do ).

Good things about your map:

  • Never had I watched a cinematic or played a map with voice overs!
  • I liked the cinematic's story about how there is an Orc in the forest who is being attacked by some humans. That was interesting to me.
  • I can tell creativity was definitely an important role in creation of this cinematic. It's always good to be creative!

Bad things about your map:

  • The map's description (not here on THW) is only one word, "watch." That makes your cinematic look bad and should be improved if possible.
  • The description you provided on the loading screen isn't much at all either. Once again, it makes your map look bad and also, I have no idea what I'm about to watch. I know nothing of the background story to your cinematic or anything like that.
  • The transmissions between the units (dialogue) had a little too much time in between them. There would be sort of a long pause after someone said something, which slightly decreased the entertainment factor.
  • When the Orc King's Son is teleported to the desert, nothing happens after he says "where am I?" I'm assuming you're just not done with it yet.
  • Terrain could be definitely be improved some. Like for instance, instead of just having trees around where the units are moving, you should put trees and lush grass everywhere in the cameras line of sight. The dirt looks a little out of place in the "forest".

Overall:

Overall, a short and simple, yet nice cinematic. I kind of liked it. I usually don't watch many cinematics. And to be completely honest, I didn't think this cinematic would play out very well, since most don't seem to be that good, but you proved me wrong! Good job! I give it a 3/5. Oh, and those voiceovers... seriously unexpected. :eekani: Kinda low quality though. But, this cinematic isn't bad at all for a short movie. It definitely could be better though, like with the terrain of course. And with the voiceovers, regardless of how cool they are, they lower the entertainment factor a little as well since they are low quality and there is only one person doing all of the voiceovers, so we keep hearing the same voice over and over, just slightly varied a little. :xxd:

Hope that helps a little!

Camera work is really bad, terrain look empty, if you manage to remove "silent" and "not required" time between 2 transmissions you will save 2 or more min. Story is bad, when I think about it there is no story at all only few unclear actions like that one when troll didn't left and waited humans near portal to "die" -.^'?
