Rise of the Bloodlines V.1

Rise of the Bloodlines

Objective:


Fight as the Vampire and werewolf in this epic struggle for the worlds diminishing resources. The aim of the game is to destroy the enemy Town Hall and claim victory.
Control points are key to claiming victory. Controling them places an archer in the tower to help defend against the enemies team.
They provide various auras making them great territory to mount a defense.
Finally, they allow your heroes to teleport further up the field by using a Teleportation saving you time.
Each base contains a Tactic HQ. From this building you can purchase upgrades for your troops to aid them in the fight.
You may also summon Royal Guards you help fight back the enemy during difficult times.
Every so often an event will occur around the map. Events are key to your factions placing on the battlefield.
Not only do these events provide some epic loot, they can also turn the tide of battle on the field and help you to push back your foes, or mount an offensive while your opponents are divided.

This map ( to my knowledge ) was originally created by cloudwolf.
However, I have simply used the terrain as for have fun and give my creativity in this map. This map is
far too different to be a copy, there's a different but in the events only.

Special Thanks: WhiteDeath, -Grendel, Proxy, Peekay, Kenshien, Nasrudin, cloudwolf, and for the member who I import the customs spell.

All sounds and most icons, the loading screen and preview image was made by me. Since nearly all models
were collected from maps which the creator did not make himself and I didn't collect credit notes, it is
impossible to find the source creators of these models and therefore I cannot credit them.

Some suggestions:


  • Put your screenshot in hidden tags to save room. Also place your changelog details in a hidden Tag. Some people dont care about a long list of changes, so it shouldnt take up room in your description.
  • I like to see screenshots of gameplay, not just the enviornment. The terrain does look nice, but a game is about gameplay. Just my logic anyway.

  • Your preview image is very pixelated. This might mean your source image was pixelated, or you have chosen 128x128 pixel size. Some images are ok with 128x128, but detailed pictures tend to suffer. Try a 256x256 image and see if its fixed. If not, find a better or fix your source image.

give them some time. the map section is a little bit full at the moment. It could be a month from now where they test your map.

Also you have some minor issues with this map, which can lead to rejection again.

For example the sound you added sounds terrible. I think you might converted it wrong. Adding sounds is always a delicate affair, because it's often useless because player mute the warcraft music and music increases the file size greatly.

Also you destroyed cloudwolfs terrain in some places for example you have these low scaled thunderbolds all over the map where the fog model were and you have these demon altars also everywhere which looks bad.

no sir, the sound theme size is only 107kb because I convert it for low quality, try to play again the map sir. I change the terrain to look difference to older map, the dragon altar shows the legendary dragon of transylvania, issue in fog I remove the fog of weapon shop and secret shop because when I'm playing this map in Garena the other player question me where is the secret shop . then that the reason why i remove the fog :D hope u will understand me

No sir, just try again the map sir you will see the changes the sound theme is only 107kb because I change into low quality .. I remove the fog only in secret shop to easily find because when Im playing this map in garena the other players always ask me where is the secretshop and where can buy rare item that the reason why I remove the fog. I thinks also to change the terrain for the vampire because the vampire base is look like a human base .. for the altar I choose a tavern that comportable with vampire and werewolves that the reason why I choose the dragon tavern because in the final event the legendary dragon is spawning in the middle the dragon base on the monster of the transylvania we need to kill it to back to normal the land, thats all :) hope u will understand me , and sorry for bad english :)

don't double post.

I played the latest version and the sound was horrible but I could test the map again and give you a better review.

Btw why did you protect your map?
It does not look like you have some special imports or anything that could be worth protected. Also your file size is not that big.
I suggest you remove the protection so that we can look at your triggers for mistakes.

Also the changes you made aren't that big of cloudwolfs terrain, you just removed the imported resources and it seems that you don't work with the "miscdata.txt" so that whenever you change the terrain height some areas of the terrain change automatically, too.

Every one can review a map. The moderators just approve or disapprove.
Reviews are helps for explaining the decision.

Can you give me one good reason why you protected your map?
because (as I stated befor ) I highly doubt that there is anything in your map worth being protected.

If you want me to write a bigger review, you could upload an unprotected version, so that I can see your triggers and the terrain in detail.

Honestly, I think you have a confused view about moderators and reviews. Mods are just users with more rights than other users.

What do you expect them to do with your map?
They often have no time for testing maps and saying what you should do. Technically, this is the job of the community and the community can't help you because you are denying every advice.

Here are some basic info for difference between moderators and reviewers

Map Moderators : they has rights to reject, remove, set to need fix or approve maps.
Map Reviewers : these people are talented in in giving advise, suggestion, critics to the authors of the map, moderators also more likely counting on these Reviewers for faster clean up in map section
