Orgrim DoomHammer Reforged (3 versions)

This is my first forum post, I honestly didn't have a lot of experience customizing models so I hope I did something acceptable to start with. I made 3 versions of the warchief that I hope to upload next. thanks to bagysta for the tips

Orgrim DoomHammer Reforged V1
This is based on Warcraft Origins, the movie. I worked it on Rexxar's body, adding the hammer, trimming the back skin, and adding other parts to the model. He wears the head of a Grunt. The texture of the head is worked so that the color is similar. Animations work properly.
Since I don't know the correct way to do the portrait, I used Grunt's portrait and edited it, it works fine. I also edited the icon based on that.

Orgrim DoomHammer Reforged V2 (Armored)
Second version of the Warchief, it is a transition between my version 1 and 3. This model does not have 100% armor. Like the previous one, I worked it on Rexxar's body, including Thrall's armor and hammer, the new face texture, and Grunt's modified portrait.

Orgrim DoomHammer Reforged V3 (with full armor and mount)
Third version of the Warchief. This is my final version of Orgrim DoomHammer.
It has a black wolf mount, with a bone on its head to differentiate itself from other wolves, this one does not wear heavy armor like Thrall's as I felt it had more visual balance over the general model.
It has hammer and full armor, I know it is the same Thrall armor and it should be the same but it has a slightly warm hue (brown and orange) which was a mistake at first but I liked it and decided to go. and give it more intensity since I played well with the skin tones. I also edited the subtly warm and dark wolf accessories to match the model.
Thrall's edited texture of where the armor is wearing has a flip side as it was an earlier Orgrim experiment that I scrapped and preferred to design it with a modified Grunt head.

Mr Ogre man
Great rendition of Orgrim. The icon could use some work, but that's not a huge deal.

Really solid retranscription of the movie visuals of Orgrim.

I really like the fact that there are multiple variations for campaign related stuff.

Pretty good job, thank you very much for this addition!

Only small complain would be about the icon which seems a bit like a random grunt and not an honoured warchief, but I know how hard it is to produce quality icons so... ;)

You're right, I'll see more options. Thank you!

Great models. Even know this is based on the movie, I'd still love to see a green (or darkish green) skin as well.

You might want to check that shoulder pad. It floats away from the back/shoulder, and it may need a bit of downscaling.

Also, any reason why he is left-handed? :p

I really like, but I feel his face is too ''grunty'' but overall very great job.

I'll check. thanks for the observation.
hahaha It's because of the animations, Rexxar has the main attack on the left even though he has two weapons. When I was doing it I found out and it didn't seem like a bad idea for an orc to be left-handed, an inclusion for left-handed people in Warcraft. If I were left handed I would be honored hahah

On the mounted version, the Wolf's ears are flattened. I assume it has something to do with an armor that was removed, maybe?

Damn it man! This is the best ogrim model I have seen! Can you make a thrall dismounted similar to him?
The original model for thrall dismounted has some ungly animations :(
I see you are using rexxar skeleton which seems to work best
Thanks you very much. If you are looking for Thrall dismounted you could use this one made by Retera Thrall (Mountless) with Spell and Attack

I was working on another disassembled version of Thrall, with similar body proportions to this Orgrim but there is still a lot of work to do as I don't know much about animations

Yea I am using that 1 at the moment and it's fine just that the hammer is soo big and his run animation is soo funny
When I saw your Ogrim model I really figured a thrall looking like him too :D

Some really small things that I have noticed
Orgrim version 1:
  • The necklase needs a bit of work.It goes though his trap muscles which looks wierd
  • For the shoulderpad I think would be nice to add the belt that hold it similar to how grom has and without the little skull

  • The belt sight is the mok'nathal logo (been rexxar's clan), I think e better idea for him is to use the beastmaster one without the horn

Orgrim version 2
  • I think needs to look similar to his version 3 model in terms of armor.
  • The combination of version 1 and 3 does show some weird fusions like the different shoulderpad / the armor on the legs but he has no pants to sustain them and the gloves/belt with bones that go in the armor.

Good observations. I will keep it in mind.
I made these models when I was experimenting with customization for the first time and there are many things that can be improved.
I will definitely check it out at some point.
