Mario Kart 1.06

Mario Kart 2D/3D!!
Playable with computers or on Bnet with other people


Features:


-3D mode for singleplayer (automatically sets driver as mario) and 2D mode for multiplayer
-Supports Computer Players
-Speed boosters
-Jumps
-Different kinds of enemies and obstacles
-2 Tracks
-6 Different Drivers
-Stats system
-Items
-Secret Shortcuts
-Item Shop in second track


Stats:


Currently theres 6 drivers: Mario, Yoshi, Peach, Wario, Bowser, Toad
Each driver has its own stats that can range in level from 1-4:

-Weight: If driver has more weight than other driver and comes in contact, it pushes the other driver away
-Stamina: HP of the driver
-Acceleration
-Max Speed
-Off Road: Affects acceleration on off road terrain


Current Items:



-Fire Flower: Shoots a fireball at nearby unit periodically
-Mushroom: Gives a short speed boost and +1 agi/int
-Thunderbolt: Zaps enemy at unlimited range slowing it down and reducing its weight to 0, max movement, and size for up to 30 seconds.
-Wand of Wind: Cyclone unlimited range
-Green Shell: Damage to first unit it hits and stuns based on distance
-Red Shell: Follows unit that comes within 650 range and deals damage if hits
-Snowballs: Damage to first unit it hits
-Cheese: Sets current move speed to max move speed and +1 strength
-Giant Goomba Token: Summons a giant goomba
-Piranha Plant: Summons a piranha plant
-Ring of regeneration: Increases HP regen

1.05 quick update:

-removed CY from map name
-computers can now use mushrooms and cheese items
-singleplayer start location moved to the back
-fixed multiplayer bug
-map unprotected

1.06 update:
-nerfed goomba
-nerfed santa attack speed to 5.5
-added countdown to beginning
-added credits

Just some quick constructive thoughts:

- Winners podium? Not sure if intended, nothing happened after the second race for me... at all :(
- More jumps, and more obvious alternative routes (didn't see any until I went into WE!)
- Some sort of acceleration/deceleration, simply stopping after letting go of up-arrow is silly :(
- On the winter track, the bottom bit where you just speed-boost across some snow is a bit boring.. maybe make a jump that takes you all the way across, over some nice scenery?

Overall was pretty fun, I tested it once before the second track and can say the winter one is a great addition!

Hey cool man! Im currently downloading this couldn't believe there is a mario kart for wc3.

AIs are always great, tracks' width is good, custom music is nice and it is worth a 3/5 but just because it is your first map I give it 4/5.

nice ideas. the acceleration thing was suggested before but im still not sure if it would work out. if i make another mario kart map ill try to add this stuff

Imma try this, as a big mario kart fan!


My review:
-some icons are just ugly, like the mario's one
-cart's moves are not really fluid
-items are difficoult to use
-add more doodads or something around the map
-acceleration-deceleration sistem (for example when you hurt an opponent cart)
-sometimes IA gets stuck

Nice idea however.. even if, sincerely, I think the blizzard's cart is better

Great Map.I Love what you done so far but needs work still.Can you add An accelerator and make the items go to the spell slots instead of the inventory.Also A warning telling you your going the wrong way because people always going off track or get lost lol.Just like on the scenario map Azeroth Grand Prix.You should use some of the features on that map just for the issues I pointed out.Since the map is open source to anyone.Be awsome if you can create rainbow road course from n64 version.
