Survival based large hero arena which involves a great amount of strategic thinking. Very popular on Northrend, and has specialized clans in every gateway. Has it's own forum and wiki:

Abundant information about the map can be obtained in the above locations. In brief, players form groups called tribes, and the aim is to be the last tribe standing (by default there are three tribes, 4 players each, though there is a 6v6 mode). The three survival stats, health, mana and heat, are essential for survival and if any hit 0, your troll will die. There are various ways to replenish each stat, and teamwork is a must.

Well, my guess would be because it doesn't work.. it's like an jungle troll tribes with just the enviroment, the triggers and stuff is gone. At least that's how it looks to me.

Jungle Troll Tribes is more different from Island Troll Tribes. JTT is more based on trying to just survive while ITT is just a little bit about surviving and lots more about strategizing and knowing your enemies and such. It's more strategy and combat based. Like fire can be used for scouting or blocking, ensnares for trapping and you gotta know where to, when to and how to attack etc.
[Island Troll Tribes is a RPG/Survival map where you play a role of a class out of 7.
In order to live, you must keep your health/energy/heat above 0.
You can create buildings in order to create powerful weapons, armors, scrolls, potions and other items.
To win, you must kill all enemies in the opposing tribes.
To do so, you can either rush them early on in the beginning or you can be patient and create the best-suiting items for your class before killing them off. ]
