Version Status: 0.90b

What is this and how do i play?:
Island Domination is a hero arena type of map with control points, which can be played by up to 12 players.

Each player can pick a hero which has its own unique set of abilities and powers. The action is intense and will require strategic moves by your team. Prioritation and positioning is important in team fights. The main focus on the map lies within the control points. Both teams will attempt to capture all 4 control points and maintain them as they boost the amount of points the enemy team lose, when your team kills a hero. Capturing all of the control points will result in a powerstrangle, which causes the enemy team to lose points once the 60 second countdown timer runs out. Powerstrangle can be cancelled by neutralizing a control point. The number of points each team has can be seen on the top of the multiboard, once a team reaches 0 points... they lose.

In order increase one's chances of success in battle, buying the right items is essential. Killing creep camps will also give you additional gold, but there is also boss creep camps that drop powerfull Artifacts.

This looks like a pretty good map, I might try it later when I get home ;)

OT: In your first screenshot there's a player named ZsG.Zexix, he's an old friend of mine. The world is quite small, ey? XD

a very well done map with lots of customized spells n stuff.
just what i like =D
too bad i hadnt the chance to play a real multiplayer match (the euro-server on bnet is just frustrating these days...all that fucking leavers...maybe i should try the NA server...)
4/5
maybe a higher voting + rep if i get some good gaming experiences from multiplayer matches =PP

this map is an AoS, not a hero arena. dont confuse other people.
you, sir, have not a fuck of a clue what an AoS is.
next time do your homework before you post.
YOU are the only one here who confuse other people.

Enjoyable game; one of the better hero arenas out there. The control points are nicely named and distinct, heroes are interesting and fun to play, items are varied (I liked seeing Rocket Boots :crazz:). The stranglehold mechanic is a solid one which I appreciated; though early on a team of newbs (us) can find it hard to coordinate breaking out.

Would you mind colouring a leaving player's name, and showing a (5v4) after it? That'd help players keep track of who's winning. Nice art on the preview screen btw; is that yours? There's also a few icons in there which I hadn't seen before (Reshape on Hydromancer), are those yours too?

"The stonehenge have been captured by Team 1" should be "has been captured". The tooltips for The Weakest Link say different amounts for how much damage rises.

Finally, there's a bug in 0.56 where heroes don't revive. I enclose a replay where this happened to heroes on both teams (Teal, then Brown/Dark Green); hope you can get it fixed quickly. Keep up the good work!

The strangehold is a bit powerfull early on, so i've been thinking about making the points it drags scale by time. I think i will do the same with the xp and gold gained when capturing.

Yup, actually made quite a few things especially for the map.

I thought i fixed the permanent death bug, but i'll look into it after my testexam today.

Thanks for feedback, i appreciate it! :)

We had a fatal error. According to a friend, it seemed like casting the ultimate of the Deathknight on an enemy hero (Warden) caused it whereas this spell should only work on allies. The Storm Panda's summon explosion technique also works on hostile entities although the tooltip states otherwise.

Map: Island Domination
Author: Nudl9
Version: 0.70
Type: Hero Arena

Description: Description is good (but could use a little bit more organization in the first part of it). It gives all the necessary information as to what the map is and how to play it. A YouTube movie is also included with the description, and it is good to see a preview of the map. A changelog and screenshots are included as well, and they allow us to see what has changed throughout the updates to this map and what the map looks like. The main picture in the description also looks very nice! Overall, description is good.

Description Rating: 5/5

Creativity:
This genre of map is not very unique, as there are other maps of the same genre. However, the concept of the map is very interesting, and I have yet to see another map with the same idea. The heroes in this map are very well made, and most of their skills seem well thought out (except for a few that very closely resemble skills of heroes in some other maps) and executed. Plenty of items are included in the map, inspiring different combinations for different heroes. Overall, this map is creative in its content, though the skills of some heroes need changing due to how similar they are to skills found in other heroes of other maps.

Creativity Rating: 4/5

Quality:
This map definitely seems to have some thought and effort put into it. As I explained in the creativity section of this rating, there are unique heroes with interesting skill-sets that synergies well with each other and seem to be well thought out and well made. There are also many good items on this map, and the ones at the Pandaren shops are nice. In my opinion, I think they are balanced and do not give any hero a huge advantage over other items. The terrain was nice, and I think you definitely captured the essence of an island. However, your grammar and spelling in this map do need some improvements, as there are some errors throughout the map. Overall, the quality of this map is very good!

Quality Rating: 5/5

Overall:
This map is definitely one that has been well created. Nearly all aspects of this map are well made, and they deserve a good rating. You had a good description, nice creativity, and great quality in this map. All of the people that I played this map with also really liked it.

Overall Rating: 4.66 (rounded up to the next highest rating available on HiveWorkshop, which is a 5). Good job. =)

Vardix@Thank you for the review, even if its not very in-depth i still appreciate it alot as it gives me an average persons view of the map. :)

No problem. I'm not a professional reviewer by far, I just like to look at maps and explain my rating from my perspective. Looking forward to your next update.

Also, ty for the rep. Now I have 3 gold dots.

Researching Goblin Technician's and Sage of Storm's abilities causes a fatal error and subsequently freezes Warcraft 3 for players who use Mac to play this map.

Researching all other heroes' abilities creates no such problem, so I'm genuinely curious: is there a significant difference between the types of icons used for Goblin Technician/Sage of Storms and that for other heroes? Since all the other hero abilities seem to have no problem, this could help isolate more precisely what the problem of some maps for Wc3 on Mac is.

Do Goblin Technician and Sage of Storm use imported .blp textures for icons?(which, sadly, is apparently incompatible for mac..)

If you have time to look into this and maybe even fix this issue if its worth your time, I would really appreciate it!

I wasnt really aware of that, but i will try look into the case.
Both of the heroes have an imported icon each of the .blp fileformat, but then again alot of other heroes do too so i dont quite get why it wouldnt work. Though they do both have something in common, they are both wc3-beta-icons found from the same origin. I believe i had to make a disabled version for both of them if i dont remember incorrectly.

Anyway i will try look further into it for the next update, which is going to be pretty major.
