Guild Wars V2.5a

Two rival guilds are holding a tournament on Death Island to determine the winning Guild of the Year. Choose one of the many classes available and work with your teammates to win the tournament.

Game Concept:
Players get to choose a hero class. The combat system is such that you'll need to initiate a series of "attacks" or "moves" in order to produce a "combo" or spell. Think of Dota's Invoker and you should get a pretty good idea on how this works.

Deathmatch
Capture the Flag
Hero Siege

this map got a funny atk system and i lov that with the combos... i like this map i played a older version and now im seeing it gets updated yaaay :D

gave a test, i like those combos x) gratz, keep it up! and if u could make a map that much like Tyria, that would be much better, but thats good enough.

Wow, a combo system, nais!
This alone makes this map worth playing, and I dont really have too much to say about it.
Some of the tooltips could be improved on, especially in terms of Capital Letters.
The amount of heros was very good, considering how unique they all are.
The summoner items dont say ONLY APPLICABLE TO SUMMONERS, you should correct this, also maybe you should change the effect, as the current one does not look very summoney :3.
The same goes for some of the Gunners' items. He does not have a Quest Log entry.
Maybe you should make the roads slightly lower, it would look pretty good.

hmm dude on the newest version if i kill an Enemy hero he respawn in my base!!! fix it^^

hmm for a few mins i play it with my friends. i killed him and he respawend in my base, and then he got permaned kill by Ward^^

i played DeathMatch mode...

Help? / Help!

lol, so i played this with my friend... and it seems that one vs one is boring.
Why is that? (Well actually it's bcuz DotA is the best map ever, but back to this map)... And btw i know some of these points have been discussed, but I'm just throwing my comments out there.
Missing:
  • Larger diversity of heroes
  • Most important of all, AI
Completed:
  • A different combat system
  • Easy gameplay

So... to improve, look at that list... try to support the game with AI... Also, try to make spells look spectacular... with effects and such. Anyway, I look forward to seeing the next version.

As i've mentioned before, i have 24 heroes planned for the map already. It's just that making ONE SINGLE HERO takes a VERY LONG TIME due to the triggers involving the combo system.

Most important of all, AI

That is near impossible for ME to do. One cause we're not just talking about normal strategy arena game here, and two cause i'm terribly horrible with AIs(i'm already having problems with creeps pathing system). If you guys seriously want AI support, i'll need some help with that here.

Anyway thx for the comment. I'll do my best to see if i can fulfill your wishes. But let me complete the objectives in my list one at a time, ok? xD

I played an older version of this map, and it virtually is Guild Wars. The characters are based off those on the original Guild Wars game, and the Death Island is an actual guild island you can own.

Lol yes i do. I've already "commissioned" one of my friends to make one for me, but if you want you could still do it anyway and i'll see if it's good. =)

Btw, i'll need one for loading screen and one for map preview.
 
Well, played this map yesterday, and there is my complete revision: (They get on ranges from 0 to 5)

Terrain: 1/5
JUST CLIVES AND NO TERRAIN VARIATION. Seriously, dude, some doodads and terrain variation dont hurt!

Tiggers & Spells: 5/5
I just loved the combat system! The combo thing, the spells, etc! Very good.

Theme Implementation: 4/5
It could have more skins for the heroes, but I understand you wanted to make the game have a small height. The imported music is very nice too.

Bonus:
Good Single-Player gameplay +1
Very original game, with nice triggers and systems + 1
High Replay Value +1
Total Bonus: +3

Overhall:
1+5+4+3 = 13/3 = 4,3

Overhall: A 4,3/5 Map. You should improve the terrain then it would be a Director's Cut map. BTW, I think you should make a cooperative Warchasers Styled RPG with these systems.
I loved the map, and its the only map I played 8 times this week. All others, I deleted right after playing the first time. so, + rep for you.

Actually, i had that idea a long time ago, which i had then planned to call it Einharjar RPG(based on Norse myth). However, i decided i wanted to finished creating all the classes and balance them out HERE first before moving on to that project. Unfortunately, i feel that this wish won't be achieved as it's not that long before SC2 gets released. And once it does, i'll be abandoning WCIII once and for all and move on to SC2 editing(which HOPEFULLY, has better features and less restrictions than WCIII).

So unless i have help with this project in creating the new classes(i have already planned each one already), you won't see the RPG version of this map anytime soon.

unlike his other map, this terrain wasnt originaly meant for this, the thing is, the terrain was made like years ago, he even decrease the playable area, 2 pyramid-like area being removed.

the most ugly part is the 2 "0" color bookshelve that supposely act as secreat walk way, too many shop for a small base also.

some creep next to the exit of upper and lower waygate is totally blocking the already narrow road, and creep is place on higher ground, sad i being chase and did not know that, so trapped in between and die....

Bad: Big ugly loading screen, using guild wars name which is rediculous. Hard to learn the spell system, ugly "guild" store layout. Terrain is poor and not mirrored. Slow Gameplay.

Lol, in the process of being rectified. Unfortunately, i'm focusing on another map atm, so this will have to wait.

Hm, the map won't work for me. Whatever I do, Warcraft tells me that it cannot find the map if i try to play it (this error occurs in singleplayer as well as in mutliplayer).

This is strange....i thought converting to 1.24 would solve the problem. And i updated to the latest newgen and optimizer too. zz

I have no idea how to solve this. Perhaps we have to wait till 1.25 for this to be fixed?


EDIT: I've tried it. The map doesn't work in 1.24 EXCLUSIVELY. It works with older versions of WCIII though. If there is a solution to this please let me know!
