Diablo 3's Witch Doctor

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

Well, this is my first model so, be nice with me ;)

I made this model for the CloudWolf Studios' Project named Diablo III Warcraft.

This model was based on the Trollish Witch Doctor, highly modified by me. It has anims for the Footman and one from Jaina. It has various particle emmiters and has a Dissipate animation made by me with the Callahan's Tut.

This model Does Not Have TC, but has Hero Glow.

The skin was made by DansaDisco, because he is the official skinner from CloudWolf Studios.

The model hasnt weapon because CloudWolf want to add some attachments in Diablo 3 Warcraft.

Important Warning: If you downloaded the model before, please download it again because i made the modifications to make it work in WE. Also, the filesize goes reduced because i removed the _Portrait model and i added Portrait animations to the main model.

Also what's a "spell chain" anim? I don't think any wc3 spells use that anim tag. The "spell slam" looks more like a "stand victory". The guy hovers in the air in the death anim too.

The unwrap needs some work too. On his chest, back, and all over the head you've got stretched textures. Down his legs you've got texture seams. And I dunno what's going on with his groin - really need to patch that mesh hole up there. His neck needs some fixing as well. It doesn't look like it's part of the rest of his body.

1. remove the multiple textures because they take unneeded space.
2. remove the unneeded materials because they take space aswell
3. you should also merge the geosets that use the same material into 1 geoset because this takes also space.
4. the unwrap could need some more work

yes, i reaaaallly want to make that change, coz i dislike it too, but i dont know why its crash and dont know how to fix it! ... If some good modeller can help me...
If noone want to help me here, there are possibilities to i make a thread in the model's section, I think.

idk.....i get the model of it..u got that down...but 1. it would be ALOT better if you added a weapon like a staff or a flail and his head/face is to small and dont make him stand straight up like that make him more MONKEY like crouch him down like he has a hunched up back, other than that pretty good 3/5

Haha, well, I hate stupid noobs who don't understand supply and demand.... WE FINALLY HAVE A WITCHDOCTOR NOW!!! Please fix it so I can't hear noobs asks why the witch doctor is a TAUREN.

This is a realy good model. However you have said youll be updating it, so ill wait till then to upload it, and i will be using it in my map.

Edit: Ah dnt worry, didnt see there were more pages lol. Downloading now.
 
warcraft 3: 2002, diablo 3 not even out yet so its not comparable.

blizzard do have a class section showing the witch doctor

and it does look better than this model

obviously, the poly difference have to be taken into account but this model has few things to be improved upon

the chest is stretched. can you make it look like an actual chest, becos all i see right now is buncha lines

and more elaborate head-dress might make it look less puny. oh and maybe a bigger forearm or longer arm might work as well

I worked a lot on it, and imao i like how its lookin. I know that this is a über model, but actually is my best model.
And you would see the evolution of this model, the first one was a piece of pure shit xD
Thanks for the feedback and so, but i will keep this model as is rigth now until i will hav enough knowledge of modellin to get it better :)

well. Lets see this:
1. i cant add TC on the purple parts because theys has transparent mode atm.
2. the model is a MODIFICATION of the troll witch doctor (not made from scratch) the bones are from him. I will see if i can delete some bones without fcuk the model.
3. i can sure that i added Spell Chain because i saw it on one Blizzard Model. Gone to search it now. Anyway, its work ingame.
4. The Spell Slam was based on Stand Victory. But i added it because its useful for spells like "Summon Mongrel" or "Zombie Wall" if you know some about Diablo 3 you will know what I talking about
5. The elevation in the death anims isnt too high, and if i move the meshes down to make that anim looks good its will look like he is buried in the earth when he walk or he's stand.
6. well, the wrapping was a problem to solve ever for me. Im new at the sunject, so i will see if i can fix it.
7. well the problem on his groin... ehem... i dunno how to fix it... ^^ because a unknowed reason, the Extrude tool doesnt work well here. D:
8. The neck isnt noticeable ingame, and here doesnt work the Extrude too.

Anyway, if you want to delete, doesnt matter for me. :|
I will get better on this, and maybe my next model will be fine.
