DBZ Cell Rampage 2.43

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Story:

The androids Future Trunks has warned Goku and the Z Fighters about have finally made their move. Dr. Gero intends to kill Goku and unleash his androids on the rest of the world. Should Dr. Gero fail on his own, he will activate 17 and 18, which will carry on his work until they are absorbed by the monster, Cell, granting him horrifying power. The Z Fighters must prevent Dr. Gero and Cell from destroying the world.

Cooler and Raditz have joined forces, sharing a mutual hatred of Frieza and Goku. They intend to have their revenge and intend to prove themselves to be the most powerful beings in the universe by destroying Cell.

Gameplay:

Transformations are done by commands; i.e. ss, uss, ss2, etc. As you level you gain more transformations and other upgrades. Some will get new heroes. Some will even be given special challenges. NPC enemies(sagas) will appear as time elapses that can be used to gain a worth while amount of experience and to test your strength against. To name a few, they are Nappa, Zarbon, Ginyu Force, Broly, and more.

Goku:
  • Goku starts off inflicted by the deadly heart disease and must grab the medicine from Master Roshi's house. After he does, his power returns and will be able to enter the time chamber after Cell appears to rapidly train. His transformations include Kaiokenx10, Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan, and Perfected Super Saiyan.
Vegeta:
  • Vegeta starts off a level higher than his allies, eager to prove himself and show off his new super saiyan abilities. He is able to challenge Android 18 upon her activation and either prove his worth or lose his life. He also can enter the time chamber to further ascend in power. His transformations include Super Saiyan and Ultra Super Saiyan. He also is able to harness his saiyan pride to briefly gain an attack speed bonus.

Gohan:
  • Gohan starts off weaker than his friends, being the youngest and most untrained. Though he will soon ascend to be the strongest warrior the side of good has ever seen, being the only hero to reach super saiyan 2 in this chapter. He can enter the time chamber to train himself and discover his true power. His transformations include a passive Unlocked Potential, Super Saiyan, and Super Saiyan 2.

Piccolo:
  • Piccolo starts off fused with Nail, a fallen namekian warrior, which grants him a permanent power boost. He will fall behind when all of the saiyans ascend, but he will catch up as soon as the time comes for him to fuse with Kami, his other half. He can enter the time chamber to stay on par with his saiyan comrads, proving namekians aren't as weak as once believed. He may also challenge Android 17, to further prove this. Piccolo has permanent transformations, that include Fusion with Nail, Unlocked Potential, and Fusion with Kami. He is also able to regenerate by typing in regen.

Future Trunks:
  • Trunks starts off in his time machine, preparing to return to Goku's aid in the present after getting some training in. Though he will fool himself into believing a bulky form of super saiyan is the true key to ascension, he will need to use the transformation effectively and come to terms with the weakness in speed. His transformations include Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan, and Ultra Super Saiyan 2.
Android 19/Cell:
  • Before Cell appears, Android 19 will aid his creator, Dr. Gero, in fighting Goku and the others. He must ensure that Dr. Gero survives so Cell can rise to power, if he doesn't, he will surely be doomed. But when Cell appears, he will have to absorb 30 humans to gain enough power to fight 17. Upon defeating 17, he will absorb him and grow in power immensely. His next target will be 18, which will complete his power and cause him to be the strongest being in the universe. Cell is able to regenerate by typing in regen. His transformations upon becoming perfect are unleashing his Cell Juniors, Ultra Perfect, and there is a way for him to become Super Perfect, his strongest form. He is also able to call the Cell Games, in which he will fight all of his remaining foes one by one.

Dr. Gero/17, 18/16:
  • Dr. Gero starts off with the intention to destroy Goku. When he is proven to be no match, he will activate 16, 17, and 18, only to meet his demise at their hands. The trio will be free to rampage the world until Cell rears his head and absorbs 17 and 18, leaving 16 to join the Z Fighters. When 17 and 18 gain two levels, they will reveal their true power. 16 is also able to use his transformation, Super 16, to show the power of his prototype model.

Raditz:
  • Raditz starts off with the ability to use super saiyan, which should shock his brother to see. After coming to Earth to reunite with his brother, only to be killed, he had all the rage he needed to ascend. He intends to get revenge and destroy Cell, proving himself to be the strongest saiyan who ever lived. His transformations include Super Saiyan, Oozaru, Ultra Super Saiyan 2, and a primitive form of Super Saiyan 2, which is weaker than Gohan's. He is also able to use his scouter to track the highest power levels.
Cooler:
  • Cooler starts off in his fourth form, the same one Frieza was killed in. He seeks to get revenge on Goku and, like Raditz, prove himself against Cell to be the strongest. Cooler has permanent transformations, which include his Final Form, and being rebuilt into Metal Cooler, whom has the ability to power himself up after being defeated by strong power levels. His body is able to get rid of imperfections in his metallic form. He is also able to command Salza, his right hand man. He is also able to regenerate in his Metal Cooler form.

Custom icons are made by myself, so there's no credit to give.

Final Notes:

Please do not suggest for me to add in custom models. They would significantly increase the map size and not look very good next to regular Warcraft 3 models. Sorry, but this is my opinion. I also never want to add in Broly as a playable. He's playable in enough DBZ maps.

This map is protected.

This is likely the same map, but more of just the latest version rather than a remake. If the last time you played it was a long time ago, then there should be A LOT of changes you haven't seen. I've improved this map over a long period of time. (And sometimes I left it alone for a while.)

Right, but before we test this map, let our curious souls have the answer to : "In the screen-shots, why is TERROR-BLADE as Vegeta instead of a normal Vegeta model?" - the Hive has many and I can even suggest some. Believe me : crappy models for a map or no models at all? - Fail!. Also, these "A LOT of changes" have better been centered around more than just game-play (lacks anyway), but more concentrated on triggers and visual effects, since the last version was completely...meh...disappointing... At any rate : with hard work and will power you can be as good as Valkemiere and Kave (maybe not that good). Peace!

I'm gonna test and post my opinion. I prefer using custom models (even if the map gets heavier, and the models are kinda crappy) then not using, but I will not consider this on my review. I'm gonna make 2 tests: off and online. Soon enough I'll put the review here.

I wasn't aware that custom models and imported spell effects were defined as hard work. Yeah, I realize my spells are nothing to brag about, but that's exactly how DBZ RAMPAGE maps work. They were known for not having one-shot spells, flashy imported spell effects, and custom models. This isn't another Tribute clone. If you want custom models and flashy spells, then my map fails in THAT category and that category ONLY. It doesn't make it fail in general, sorry.

Now please, I don't want to hear any more custom model/spell effect comments. If people want to criticize me on other aspects of the map, I'm all for it. (Such as my horrible cinematic. <_< >_> I made that when I was really new to map making and never fixed it up. That's my own laziness for you.)

This was one of my first projects that I've worked on. I currently have another project in the works that has a drastic improvement with effort. (By improvement, I do not mean custom DBZ models. I just..don't like them that much.)

I am with the maker on this one. I am so sick of hosting GOOD maps with amazing concepts for implementation of the DBZ world... but with no models and all the peons that play bnet bitch and moan like the map is crap cuz of no models... It is so stupid.

I understand that you don't want custom models, but could you at least make the map make sense in the DBZ sense of things?

I understand giving Radiz some stuff he didn't have, because that is needed.

Goku however, is just plain crappy. Ultra super sayain? Perfected super sayain? Why not just Kaoken, ssj, and ssj2?

But anyways, I'll try the map out and see how it goes :D

The terrain does need a bit of work. I agree with you.

As far as Goku is concerned, he IS accurate for this saga. In the Android-Cell Saga, he learned how to go ultra super saiyan in the time chamber before he mastered super saiyan. Against Cell, he was in the form of perfected/mastered super saiyan. How does it not make sense? If anything, giving him SS2 vs Cell would make no sense.

I didn't say it wasn't a good map, neither did i say it was bad.
the thing is, when it comes to anime maps, custom models do make the map better cos of some reason:
1. Easier charachter detect
2. Looks better( I mean, who the f*** would play goku/vegeta/blla blla with a paladin/demon hunter/death knight/ wtf models?, it doesn't look good at all.)
3. beside the 2 facts, custom anime models are not that hard to find nor import.
4. tell me a reason why not to use custom models on anime maps? whats the point for then?

I hope you are happy now legendz and SSj2-trunks.

anyhow, ill try to test the map out asap. :)
in the mean time, u try to look for custom models :p

Yeah,I'm with Legend on this one. Some people join my games and ask if there are any custom models?I say no,than that whiner just leaves like models make a map the "BEST" map in the world.

Having Cooler is a great idea, but wouldn't it make more sense if it was bardock and raditz? I mean, Frieza is already supposed to be dead, right? So no point in hating him. Bardock would probably hate his son for being a low-power level infant and also for forsaking the saiyan race.... sort of......

It is ok to not have models, but first: with models the map looks better, more polished, and have more hard work on it. And your map sucks... it is all confusing, there is no certain objective, everything is just too strange.

Again... a great map doesn't need to have the best models added to it... look at some other high rated maps, they still have WC3 models or models that are still extremely similar to the WC3 models.. and no one complains about that? Why discriminate against one single DBZ map? Besides, adding a model to a map doesn't take much work, and saying that it makes it more 'polished' is just being plain rude.

How could it also be confusing? The objective is clear for the 'good' forces and the 'bad' forces. Good forces, obliterate Cell.. (after all, it IS the CELL RAMPAGE). Bad forces, kill all of the Z-Warriors and send them to Heaven. Easy as pie, simple as that. Other misc objectives.. well.. it's an arena. Go and fight.

I swear.. if I really have to ask Trunks to post these objectives on the forums.. and the text in game already says stuff.. people just have to read.. how hard is that to do? Okay, I'll stop raging now. >_>; . Heh. I just want to make my message clear to people.

The game is confuse, the terrain sucks, and some types of games NEED DECENT models.

If you really want to improve this, then at the very LEAST add some info or tutorial to new players.

If you think this map sucks so bad then what is the point of complaining to somthing that has a low chance of getting changed to keep the feel of originality?
