DAtC v1.97c

DAtC is an AoS with entirely custom heros, abilities, and items.

Right now there are 31 heros and 110 items.

Please report any bugs you find.

Great map man, id give it a ful review but .. im a little busy.

I like the spells, their all custom made. The terrain is also quite astonishing :D.

Anyway great job, 5/5.

Also i think why Septimus and the admins dont want u to delete and upload ur approved map is because they get alot of ... well approving work to do. Please understand. besides anyone who gives this map any less is an idiot..lol. keep up the good work

Edit: Oh and please update the description. I almost didnt download this map because of the information given.

I found a bug:
Scooter( the ball hero) become immortal after he uses his ultimate attack reverse magnetism
pls fix it

Nice map, very well made though when I hosted it, many were complaining that the TD Builder was imba- I don't think so- it was all our first time playing it. Extremely nice models & spells, only played 3 heroes so far but its been fun.

Definitely a 5/5.

Alright, first off THIS IS A GOOD AOS MAP!!!
I mean i abselutely love it, you did a wonderfull job, but its the best of the best, and the worst of the worst kinda deal you got going. Your heros, ... they cant be op or imba in any way considering that none of them have a big nuke or anything. I mean the thing that made me mad was that you had these really really good custom spells that amazed me on the creativeness. Yet...... when you look at other aos, you can have them down at half health and use your spells efectivly and kill someone, in this it was hard. Your spells dont do alot of damage on some and yet there very unique. Also when you have that tree dude, literally the first dude you pick * as in first one on the icons* Corrupted watcher or something. He is str? Yet he has a ranged, fast attack, this confuses me.

Those are somethings that I would love to see go up, hero damage, spell damage and maybe add some creeps.

Decent map, but I'll have to echo Wafflez comments in that damage for spells is simply too low. My two heroes were:

- Ball (Agi): This guy needs some sort of attack. With no inherent attack, he has to rely on his spells... which do abyssmal damage. 45 damage to a hero with 2000 HP does nothing. I thought he was pretty unique though.

- Flail Gnoll (Str): This hero was ok, but again the same problem with his spells. His flail spin ability only does 70 damage at maxed rank.

Bugs I found:
- Gnoll's Knockback ability can knockback towers. ;)
- The Summoning Keys that are Gold and Silver both summon a magnataur... one was supposed to summon centaurs, but summons the magnataur.

Terrain: 8/10.
- Small, but good for this map. No glaring issues and was pleasant to look at.

Gameplay: 6/10.
- Heroes have nice and unique custom abilities, but need to simply do more damage. Recipes should also always at least maintain the stats of their predecessors. For example, if I'm combining an item that gives me 7 armor and 5 damage, the combined item shouldn't be giving me 4 armor. Should be 7. =)

Fun Factor: 6/10.
- Would increase greatly and become alot more exciting if I was actually in any significant danger at any point. No heroes seemed to have any abilities that posed an immediate threat.

Overall: 6.5/10

There were several game breaking points in this map, terrain is well done but out of place for an AoS, the excessive amounts of animations already in place stacking with other hero abilities and spells cause the FPS to take a large hit, case in point the bottom corner of map is virtually unplayable to some older PC's with a noticable fps drop on decent computers.

As others have stated spell damage is abysmal, my alchemist potion did more damage to ME rather than enemy heroes, killing me after I used it on myself experimentally.

A massive bug either WCIII's fault or the maps but I lost all control of my hero at points, sometimes being able to move sometimes able to use a spell. It would be remedied on death however.

The over all 'polish' is good but the polish should have been applied AFTER the core game was complete, the core of this game is by far from complete.

you must also DIRECTLY attack the ball hero, auto attacking or chasing is impossible with creeps around. If this was purposefully done, you must make the HP of the hero lower to account for his threat rating.

Okay I got a bug for the Samurai. When you use Tri (something) it doesnt seem to damage at all.
After the 20-25 minutes, it started lagging REAAAALLY bad. Also, the Elven Huntress was pretty overpowered!

I just checked, and Tricut is working fine. If you would elaborate as to what you think caused the lag, that would be great. As of right now, I cannot do anything about it because I don't know what caused it. I am also in the process of nerfing the Elven Huntress slightly.

I want to make a point of this: IF THE UNIT ONLY HAS 1 SPELL THAT IS OVERPOWERED, THEN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, JUST TELL ME THE SPELL; DON'T TELL ME THE UNIT IS OP. (this wasn't directed at you T-s-G.)

Hehe, I did actually also ask the guy what the spell was called so ^^
but hey, its alright. :)

quickshot+u run close to it+arrow nova-> instant death
even with a str hero...

the pb dmg is just too ridiculous
reduce the dmg to 25%(so it deals only 1/4 dmg) otherwise the pb dmg is just lame ><

EDIT: btw it seems that the landsharks ultimate deals(almost) no dmg,regardless of the position of the enemy(also...PLEASE make the skill aimable...its so annoying...)

EDIT2: it seems the characters are nearly just int type heroes...and most of the str heroes arent that great =/ maybe add some more (good)str heroes in the future =)

directly in front of u...in the closest way possible
for example: every hero in melee range in front of her gets hit by almost ALL arrows...

i dont have much problems to host this map than usual...
on the(europe) bnet is the game name one of the most important factors to get enough players

(sorry for doublepost but this one is just pure bug report ;D)

ive tried the new version with a friend of mine (me neuromancer, he had the alchemist)
and i have to say...geeesh the alchimist is freaking buggy
some of his potions (like ignition as i heard) deal (almost)no dmg and his ultimate causes him to ignore any commands....later in the game,his hero ran up the mountain(the upper one left from the north base) WITHOUT any command given to him !!!(kinda scary...) also,when he drank that earth potion,he got teleported somewhere on the map

other bugs:dunno if u fixed it in this version(it was in another one) but flail lords flail enhancement passive didnt give u the +36 dmg but always +12

the dragons of the forest guardian deal also no dmg(at least the healthbar didnt move)... it would be good if they would deal like 0,1~0,15xstr each so they would deal actually some dmg

the midwinter coat recipe cant be bought...u lose the gold but u dont get any recipe for it =/

my enemy also told me that he cant build the sword of pain for any reason(he had all required items+ recipe and he clicked on the recipe...but nothing happened)

i was fine with "Custom Hero Battle"
it works somehow very well on the europe server

EDIT:
BTW i have a suggestion !
how about an "auto-ballance" at round 2? so if some players left and the remaining teams are uneven, the remaining players will be arranged into new teams so its ballanced again !

EDIT2:
the ultimate of that flying sword doesnt work anymore at lvl 2...
the swords dont do any dmg and they dont dissapear on collision

also,the rewind skill of the time breaker doesnt work anymore after a while playing
also...it happened that his time freeze ability triggers over and over,causing himself to "never get back from this freeze" state

we had the following heroes:
gladiator
that sword(maybe his ultimate caused the leak but im not sure)
star gazer
td builder(he was afk the half time...so it cant be him)
mortal angel
fire sorceress(was gone pretty fast)
neuromancer(same)
image breaker(even her...same)

Hey! I think Enchanted Sword might be the cause of the lag in my games too! (wasnt in v1.96 though) but it ALWAYS lagged with him in the game!

I think DAtC is a great map... But!
Its pretty hard to find where the items ect. is, when youre new at the game. (It actually still is xD)

I tested this game with some friends, and my first thoughts were that you need to structure up your shops instead of placing them in a random order, and tell where to find the item in the item scroll.

The item scroll for Magi's Boots(or w/e they're called, the int boots) doesn't work, i tried everything, but they wouldn't combine.

The dragon warrior guy's two first spells has the same hotkey, and Intimidate never ever converts an enemy unit.
His ultimate is also way to strong, with only 1 rank 1 ultimate, i took down two heroes, both two levels higher than me.

Also, on the ghoul hero(don't remember his name), there is some hotkey problems.

Lastly, on the Puppet Master, the Summon Puppet ability's tooltip is wrong. It says Level 1 - 5 attacks, Level 1 - 10 attacks, Level 1 - 15 attacks.
Does this ability only have one level? :p


But despite of all those bugs and imbalances, i really enjoyed the map and especially the terrain. Though at those towers that you have to run a bit to actually attack them sometimes your creeps will just run past without defending, and ranged heroes have an overpowered advantage here. Slightly irritating.

Well I am actually looking to change the terrain, but I still want it to be unconventional. As for the imbalances and typos, I'll get right on those.

On a side note, Haruhi owns.

On another side not, if anyone is good at terraining, plz pm me.

Nother one, I fixed those things and I'm uploading the new version now.

Awesome map, it's still got work to be done, but it has a lot of potential.

Bugs I've encountered so far:

Time Breaker's Rewind cooldown counter doesn't disappear after it has reached 0.

Master of Elements' Elemental Wave doesn't deal damage.

Another strange problem with Master of Elements, I don't know how it happened, but somehow immediately after taking Elemental Shift, I had both Fire and Nature mastery.

It's impossible to make the Sword of Pain or stat-giving Boots recipes (Golem/Angel/Mages' Steed).
