Reason



This map is for some hours of Adventure, whether you play alone or with friends. It´s up to you to reveal the secrets of the map, use your nose to find the right path for you. Your heroes are able to level up for a very long time, so your abilities will get better and better troughout the whole game. You can get useful and powerful items, as well as some units will join your party if you like. Some of them join temporary, some stay.
The overall gamestyle is changed from classic Warcraft Gameplay more into "Diablo-like" gaming with warcraft units.

Storyline



Again, you are stuck far out in the desert with your friends. In the darkest night you concluded to stop your getaway and light a campfire in a sheltered basin. Another harsh time lies behind you, constantly running from all the terror around you in the dark. For every of the beasts you get your hands on, ten others come howling out of nowhere, and it was just getting harder and harder for weeks now!
Shortly before you fall into sleepless despair, you feel some little thing is different this night... You grasp a kindly smell in the wind. It brings you thoughts of different days, days where you were dreaming of being a hero and getting a king. You watch your friends in their ragged outfits, staring into the flames in a frantically way. You feel strongly you have to resist this monstrous Insanity surrounding you. As you think of it, you feel some inner change rising up.
It´s like someone would watch you from across the Fire. Someone supporting you, an invisible friend with good intentions. You are sure now you are nowhere but at the very beginning right now!

You will encounter some german Words on the screenshots, it´s because my game is a german version. All changed data has been translated, your game will translate the rest.

How to play



One thing you really should know is that you can choose some special announced units to join your party. You can do this by left-click on them.

You will find several "Stones of the living Souls" througout the Lands, these are the continue starting points for your heroes when they have died. You have to leftclick on them to make them ready to use. In a Multiplayer game everyone can only use his/her own Stone to revive. You will have to pay a lot of gold for your heroes to revive, so be careful. Also you will find better uses for gold than revive your heroes all the time, especially after level 5 where your experience is not coming from the fights anymore...

I´ve also got a [broke= Let your Heroes drink as much as they can! All the same an Austrian Guy made this map!] Hint [/broke] for you!

This is the second Adventure map i have designed. (It took me a very long time to make the maps satisfying for me... I learnt to build maps with worldedit in an autodidact way.

So after completion now, i would be very glad if some other people than my few fellas would play and enjoy the map. For this reason i´ve done it and also translated the map into english language now. Yippieee!

There is still the other map readymade, but its not translated yet. Since it´s a lot of work which is not so nice to do with my german editor (you don´t see the parts still german clearly, so you have to search them out ), i want to know if there is any interest before doing all this.

*updated to fix some translation issues (the levers in the last part were still telling german results)

*2nd update for a lot of translation issues with some of the abilities. I hope now it´s good and it has an end with translational updates.

*3rd update to fix translation (what else could it be?) of some special items and to bring you this little more teasing description.

*4th update to translate kintres class and some quest descriptions, added description and storyline to the loading screen.

*5th removed some problem with a deactivated trigger that caused the map to stay black. The version with this bug was uploaded only half a day, but if you were unlucky and downloaded it, its repaired now and working again! Sorry... it was very late already...

*6th update includes a nice Loadingscreen picture now, fitting to the story told meanwhile, also i changed the screenshots to open as one now ;) .

*7th update comes now with a nice adventurish preview pic! Big up to Hemlock for his easy htd guide and to San Melon for pointing me to it!

*8th fixed the loading screen (t*-word) and the possibility to choose "enemy"

thanks for giving feedback! After all i was not sure if i clicked on some secret "ignore me" checker when i registrated in the hive...

Yeah, i was thinking a long and a broad about getting custom models when designing the second map, but i was offline back then. Now i´m not sure about changing little bits in this map, but the more i think about it teh more it could be good. So thanks for inspiring for now... maybe some, maybe later!

I really didn´t know this is not "possible", initially it was meant to signal that the timespan is really long... Maybe I should read more english fiction to see how to handle something like this properly. So I hope it´s fine now. Anyway, without the comments from all of you the description and the "map-ad" wouldn´t look like it does now, so thanks for pushing me in that direction. I´m getting satisfied with the result now, i think it gets time then to implement custom models...

If you're trying to say that you said "veery" because you wanted it to be really long (and "very" wasn't good enough), why not use words like "extremely" ("extremely long")?
That would be a far more logical option than "veery" ^^

Well, I tested the map with two friends of mine yesterday and I see the same thing today still. Check whether the first few mobs are the way they are supposed to be, because up to the second or third base with towers near the forgotten one everything appears to be neutral hostile, so after reaching level 5 there's no more levelling from 'em, which kind of made our lives way harder. Well, it was possible still, so I'm not complaining. Still, try to check it out please, maybe it wasn't supposed to be this way. Another thing I noticed is, that in the lobby I was able to use the enemy playerslot. Simply turn the player into "Computer" instead of "Player", that will fix it. The teams, by the way, are called "Helden" and "Gegner", which should be "Heroes" and "Enemies" "Foes" or others if you are serious about getting this translated fully. Otherwise it wasn't such a bad map, keep it up.

So, i have fixed the Lobby translation and the possibility to choose "enemy" as a player slot.
I also added a notice in the description about the level 5 thing. When i discovered it while building the map, it hit me hard, because it seemed to be some hardcoded warcraft 3 rule, which can´t be altered. Quite unusual within the editor, i found it to be this way and started to workaround... Would be quite interesting to find if there is a solution, not for this map anymore, it would make the player imba, but just to know...

Well, since the map is designed for 3 players anyway, you can give all of those units to player 4, 5, or whoever, who doesn't belong to the players. A computer who doesn't do anything. This way, they will not belong to the neutral hostiles and not meet the extra creeping rules of warcraft and can level you beyond 5 to no end. There is a solution to the level 5 limitation of neutral hostiles too, but in the end it doesn't really matter. As you really only need 3 player slots, you can use all the rest up for computers as much as you please, right? No need to put up big researches for a solution this way.
