Features and Extra Information

Save codes are written to a text file at the end of each map under "My Documents/Warcraft III/CustomMapData".
You can copy and paste this into the next map. Maps with multiple heroes will require a code for each.

On maps where groups are split up, you can control both groups at once
(e.g. Tyrande and Furion when they go their separate ways on Night Elf level 5).

Hard difficulty by default, AI is updated to Hard levels and triggers are set to Hard settings.

To lower the difficulty type -easy or -normal to handicap the enemy (40% and 70% respectively)

The Warcraft 3 Demo Maps/Prologue campaign is included with all the Original Audio restored.

----- Reign of Chaos -----
In the Reign of Chaos campaigns all units have the correct stats.
Gyrocopters, Steam Tanks, Catapults and Ballista replace their TFT equivalent.

----- The Frozen Throne -----
Players can build shipyards on certain TFT missions that had goblin shipyards.

Hi Kilmaat, we finally beat the blood elf campaign. 4 Bugs we came across, but even with them it was a ton of fun! On "gates of the abyss", the second player does not get vision of the green draenei forces (still allied though) Also on that...

Hi Kilmaat, I just wanted to thank you for making these campaigns. To be able to play the original campaigns with a friend in the way they were intended is perfect ( ofc i love the other 2p campaigns the others have made also ). In particular, the addition of the bloodelf campaign is very welcomed as it is the gap that the current other 2p campaigns are missing!.

Thank you again, i will be very happy to play these with my friend! :)

Thanks Tulee I appreciate the feedback, I just need to know if the demand is there for the rexxar campaign before I think about starting on it :) (it's a little intimidating haha)

That you are even thinking of the possibility of making the Orc Bonus Campaign 2p is incredible. I do not have a clue how that would work. I know there are a lot of people who do play these 2p campaigns, and more importantly, it is a way of bringing friends together to replay campaigns they remember from 10+ years ago. Regardless of whether you choose to tackle to bonus campaign or not, i am very happy with what you have done. Thanks again!

I'm thinking player two being properly separated might be more appropriate for the orc campaign, just the thought of keeping track of all those quests though :(
Are you saying separating the two players would be appropriate because you want to give people the sense that they have their own hero /indentity? I do not really think its that necessary given how much extra work it would entail. Most people will just be happy to have the bonus campaign 2p. Just look to the 2player hosted forums, there are always people asking if someone is going to make the durotar campaign 2p haha.

The code is in my documents/Warcraft 3/custommapdata in a text file, copy the whole line under the heroes name

I don't have any folder of w3 in my doc...and in my instalation folder i don't have "custommapdata"...

Is your game up to date? I know the folder can change depending on the game version, it could be in your warcraft 3 install folder instead and possibly in a 'log' folder.

Also I assume you played XBloodElf 1 and finished it before trying?

Hi Kilmaat, my friend and i have just played mission 1 and 2 of the bloodelf campaign, everything has gone smooth so far! People had better be aware though how difficult taking the green base on mission 2 is. We needed to mass towers outside the base to wipe most of his forces, and even then we were pushed back 2 times! Goodluck, and make sure to keep all the naga alive (especially the royal guard) as they not only dont cost food, but they are vasty stronger than the normal units!

Is your game up to date? the folder that the code is saved in is different depending on the version, the most up to date version will save it in mydocs/warcraft3/custommapdata in a text file.

Other possible locations are in the warcraft 3 folder (custommapdata or log subfolder).

Which mission did you finish by the way, in-case it is an error?

I don't get the code. I already finish it also I don't have CustomMapData I just have data called Logs I already checked it's not even there

Chapter 8 is the final night elf mission, which means there is no save code at the end as nothing is supposed to carry to the next campaign.

Or if you are starting from Chapter 8 there will be no code from the previous level as you have to play fro Chapter 1 (or type -new).

I'm having trouble with the code. I know where it is in the Docs file, I enter "-load E&tL-qTlJ-PPGK-3Peh-jutc-K3B9-Id" and the game loads, saying I have a good code.

But none of my items show up on Kael, even after the bases get destroyed in mission 2. Am I doing something wrong? I have the latest patch installed.

When my friend and i played human 1, the items loaded fine for us in mission 2. By the way, when we have time we will continue to play from human03 onwards, didn't want you thinking no-one is playing this by the lack of responses, just having trouble finding time to play :). Thanks again Kilmaat. Just out of curiosity, i remember a month or so ago you were considering whether or not to tackle the bonus campaign. Have you given it any more thought?

That is strange, the save was not working for me when I tried to fix it. I am referring to the Blood Elf campaign, to be clear.

I have looked into doing the bonus campaign and the main thing stopping me is having to enter 3-4 codes each map, it seems very tedious.

I'll have to look into it when I have more time, I just have been taking a break.
Yes i was referring to the blood elf mission. That is strange. Yes i realize that it would be incredibly tedious working through that campaign, you have done so much already in terms of the archion mode campaigns that it would not matter if you didn't do the rexxar campaign.

Also, since you are here Kilmat, would you happen to know where i could find a guide on saving 2 heroes from one map into another map, as you did in the archion mode? I know where to find game cache tutorials for single player campaigns, and tutorials for multiplayer rpgs (loading onto the same map) but i have not been able to find a specific tutorial for a case like yours where it is multiplayer but it is loading the items/hero into another map. Haha sorry to bother you so my questions :p

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I tested it and it works perfectly.

Perhaps there's a bug with the Robe of the Magi +6? You didn't include it with the code you sent (just tested it), so perhaps you didn't account for somebody having it? It's a very, very obscure Easter Egg to find, and I was shocked you'd even included it.

On the whole I really do think these maps are excellent. I haven't been able to play through too many of them, but they are all exceptionally faithful to the original, and it's been great fun to play with my friend. You really deserve commendations for how well you put them together. And I'm thrilled you're supporting them, too!

Hi Kilmaat, we just played a bunch of missions from the bloodelf campaign. All of Kaels items from level 2 did not transfer over to mission 3 (dungeons one). For Vashji, we only gave her items we bought from the shop cause we were stacking her with as many items as possible, so i'm not sure if any non shop items can save over with her since we only had slaved and clarity potions on her. We are about to load mission 4 (the Aos style tug of war with Maiev) and when i am looking at the code i got from the secret mission (tower defense) its just saying "-load DW" for both Kael and Vashji. We are about to load up the mission so i will edit this post and tell you more. For the other codes it was all quite complicated, so when i just see "-load DW" for both kael and Vashji i am scared :p

The 'load -dw' issue was due to the heroes being removed in the end cinematic (which did not happen in testing due to me skipping the cinematic! haha) that is fixed now.

The issue on Blood Elf 2 I can't figure out, I have narrowed it down to the final cinematic and it works fine if you 'skip' the cinematic. I will have to have a look at it later.
Ok sounds good. So just to check: If we type -load DW on chapter 4 will it bug up? Or should we just type -new instead.

Another bug report: For Mission 2, the observatories aren't granting sight for some reason. We did the escape trick to ensure all items transferred, might be involved with why? Just wanted to let you know.

Still enjoying it, it's great fun!

Sorry to double post, but I have another, actually important, bug. In Mission 5, when you first get Illadin, you can't increase your food. Whether I build coral beds or farms, whether I skip the intro or not, we're stuck at 30 as the max food. Minor problem for a macro mission.

Still want to reiterate how much we're enjoying this, though :)

Also on that chapter, when we fail to close a portal (when illidan dies in the process), the timer does not get destroyed, and stays on the screen, and still counts down to 0, then just stays there. (Note this also might happen even if illidan closes it without dying). Then, when we try to close another gate or the same gate, all of the timers on the screen do the countdown, and even if illidan dies they still countdown to 0 and do not get destroyed. So by the end of the chapter, there were at least 6 timers at 0:00 on the top of the screen.

For the 3rd and 4th issue, they relate to the missing interludes (the interlude after rescuing illidan where it shows the flashback to when illidan first meets Kil'Jaedon in (Ashenvale?), as well as the interlude the concludes the final mission where Kil'Jaedon "catches up" with Illidan, and then Illidan asks Vashji and Kael if they will venture into "the cold heart of death itself".

But thank you so much for making them :)). Gameplay was not affected by these bugs


Edit: If the interludes were not meant to be added then forget that i mentioned it.

I figured if people wanted to see the interludes they could load the maps to watch them by themselves, I suppose I could include those maps with the download to save having to go to the campaign screen.

If I get around to making the interludes work for both players I will add them :)
Don't bother adding the interludes tbh kilmaat. Most of the people who are playing this have beaten the campaign before, and it only takes 20 seconds to google search for the interludes anyway.
But if you REALLY want to invest time in something, might as well put it into the rexxar campaign ( so cheeky of me to say that :) )

Hi. how to reduce the campaign difficulty? second blood elf mission is incredibly hard, we can't finish it. or maybe somebody has a code with all the items from it?
 
Actually, this is some pretty awesome addition to the WC3 TFT campaigns.

The save system is nice, but as you said in the maps, it does only save items and tomes of the heroes. It would be better to have a more complex system that could save all the abilities, levels of abilities, items, hero levels, strength, agility, intelligence, exp points, etc. Maybe you could make this or find a cache system from somewhere.

I was also expecting this addition to fix all the leaks of Blizz campaigns, either manual or automatic. However, it's a personal wish.

Anyway, respectable effort for making WC3 campaigns more enjoyable! :]

The bonus campaign was very overwhelming trying to get it working, it should be possible but it would be very annoying having to type in 4 codes every map (3 heroes + another for quest progression).

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me at least it is not a concern how long the codes are or how many codes you need to paste in. The campaign is so enjoyable, so i wouldn't really mind pasting in codes. In my opinion it's totally worth it. I would love to see the bonus campaign. Whether you make it or not, you are an awesome guy!

Yeah, a long coding shouldn't be any problem. People don't check the triggers that how are their length. Longer and better coding helps much better, at least for us. Pasting a long code isn't so much hard.

I was just talking about the codes in the bonus campaign, if one ever will be made. I actually like the fact that we can choose the hero abilities for each chapter, in case we change our minds. If you play some chapters with one friend and then some other chapters with another friend, then they should also be able to choose differently.

Finally completed your campaigns, did the last scourge chapter today, it took us a long time and many attempts, but it felt great when we finally did it. I'm kinda sad it is over though, what should I play now?
 
Tried playing Orc 08 where I was the second player. Once the infernals start falling, the 2nd player loses the ability to interact with the game, and might as well be disconnected. So, it ended up just being my friend telling me about him playing the campaign, and not coop. Seems like a significant glitch on the Orc 08 map.
Also apparently it spawned the infernals for the wrong player, so my friend was able to control them instead of being attacked by them.

AC NightElfX03 doesn't seem to work very well for my friend.
