    Hello, kind sir, I've noticed from your animation videos that your Mdlvis works flawlessly, whilst mine has laggy camera and often crashes.
    Do you have some secret special version of Mdlvis or something? I tried different versions of it, but I can't seem to find a good working one.

    Unfortunately I don't have a secret version of the editor that works ;_;
    (Example, mine crashed 10 minutes into the Halberdier rework and wiped all of my progress)

    I do, however, have some tricks to stabilize the camera and I've learned where the pitfalls are for crashes (not how to outright "fix" them, though)

    Stuttering camera workaround
    - Middle mouse button and slightly turn the model
    or
    - Right mouse button and slightly move the camera's position

    BS crashes
    - Copy/pasting geosets and trying to move them without binding first
    - Binding meshes to the original skeleton of a Blizzard model (usually chest, upper legs, and torso)
    - Editor just decides to eat your model (SoL)

    Sad, but still thanks for the tips, I'm mostly animating in Retera's Studio but it still has some bugs with keyframe interpolation, so I'll have to do it in Mdlvis.

    One trick to smooth how the editor handles - there's a checkbox called "Workplane" above your tools on the right side of the screen, tick it and you should see a vast improvement

    The only drawback is now you have precise control over how you move your selected polygons by selecting the preferred axis, holding shift, and clicking & dragging

    (Rough, but you'll have to live with perfect control :D)
    Hey HerrDave, I really like your Dieselpunk Heavy Weapons. I'm doing a WW2 map and I also love your ww2 soldiers models. I was wondering if you could make a mortar and Anti tank version compatible with WW2 models (I would like the English ones). anyway, I really love your work !

    Ah, I'm not the one who animates crew models - I just animated the single-soldiers and modeled/textured the WW2 soldiers

    I believe SonsOfSami(?) is the one who has been converting the Dieselpunk weapon crews into my WW2 variants - he moves the meshes over and I tweak the animations to fit better

    If he's online, zing him a message, I'll fix the animations up and send them your way :)

    Hey HerrDave, I was curious to know: Did you ever post your model of Durin's Bane? I noticed it exists in your albums and that you marked it as "finished" in one of your threads, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, unless I'm missing something? Or have you not posted it for other reasons?

    A fair warning though: None of my Warcraft projects in the last ~14 years have seen a release to the public, so the chances of the map using it being finished and released are fairly slim. Just so you know.

    The mapmaker is a fan of yours and likes your content. The map itself is set in 1900s-1960s and features nations of WW1 w/ alternative history paths. It is a grand geopolitical rts custom game.     Ah, because they strongly resembled squat hairy gnomes, I ended up taking them down for the great Revamp - which has thus far taken like-- a year x_x

    Presently I'm just stuck optimizing the skin space and researching their guns - since I've got to include WWI and WWII uniforms, gun metal, rifle wood, leather pouches, various boots/leg-wrappings, the flag, and enough hair to use as a paintbrush for 3D facial hair

    I, for one, support the idea. Pyramidhead and the nurses by you would be great. Although there are other universes that I think you could do a great job of recreating, like the Witcher, or Mass Effect, if you care about those. :)

    Hey man! In your WotR map is plenty of models that you didn't uploaded (Like Mrikwood trees, bushes, Osgilliath bridge, gobiln slavemaster etc.). Why don't you upload them? And how's the progress of the map? Can you make some vids of making it?

    That's great to hear! There's a great lack of good First Age stuff being made so I'm looking forward to it. As for the Morgoth question it was just a suggestion, I was more wondering about First Age characters in general.

    Cool. I've noticed all your models use a similar bone structure, and I must say, your models are a lifesaver for me, they're so easy to modify and customize both visual and animation wise, well, you can see for yourself in my model thread.

    I have a small favor, It would be so useful to have a slow walk animation, to use for any units that would require it, and since all of them have a similar if not same structure it would be very easy for me to import onto whichever units I need.

    I'm making a 'survivor' model for my map, and maybe release if it turns out good.

    Can I use some of the animations from you infantry units. They have some great and varied weapon animations, that looks a lot better than the half-squatting marines from wc3.

    Yeah, the high-ups here on the Hive instated a new rule that all model submissions must have an in-game screenshot, not just the model on a black background (like what I've been doing)

    That's why my newer models have had a slightly out-of-place screenshot of 'em in the world editor x_x

    Hey man, can I edit the texture of your (https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/berry-bush.263955/) - Berry Bush model? I want to remove the berries by copying the other part to the berry part of the texture used in the model so it will look all green. I will not edit the model itself, just the texture, you will still be credited for it ofcourse and will only be used for my map. (-:

    Got a middle-eastern version of the house, an academy is being planned but right now I don't even have concept art for it.
    I know you're propably busy rn, but could you please lend me adivice on the TCW map..
    Should I change the entire map to one large city with tight corners and narrow choke points, or keep it the way it is?
    I feel like if I go full on city I can add more Urban enviorment gameplay features (like the utilization of ruined buildings as cover) But vehicles (mainly tanks) would be heavily restricted..

    The only change I'd make to the map would be brushing up on the wilderness area by adding rocks, fences, signs, and possibly little guard-houses or farms

    And for the city I'd just broaden the middle by ~3-4 tiles, so it's a slightly longer walk from the center bridge to the statue in the middle.

    You know whats sad? I updated the terrain literally the day before yesterday.. You can take a look at the map rn (Head over to me profile).

    I dont have Guard House models (rip) Or Sign models (double rip for city) I even had to resort to a, questionable statue (its a 40k one ._.)

    Regardless thanks for the recommendations, (Who knows I might improve the city some more :p)
