  • Well done, Casper. I finally figured out all of the paths (some were actually quite tricky), but the finished product blew me away. I have all the paths as they now are when you want to upload the finished piece. I'll place them all in the thread. The problem I had was that Magos was displaying DolKnight_Portrait as the portrait name, but it was ACTUALLY Knight_Portait.

    was the dissipate animation intended this way? are you going to improve it and death anim in any way? it's kinda crucial in terns of approving the model.

    you know, coz if you wanted to make him look like he dissipaters and his clothes drop to the ground - it just doesn't really look that way, but it's something ignore-able i guess

    To answer your question more completely:
    A "rip" is a file taken from another source, generally removed right from the game's inner hidden/archived/locked/compiled files (i.e. "ripped out"). You also "rip" when you take music from a CD you own & put it on your computer (a digital copy of your physical music).

    "Ripping" in the Warcraft 3/THW sense generally comes after the phrase "WoW" (WoW Rips), meaning "stuff (models, etc) ripped from the WoW MPQs". That kind of stuff is not allowed on the Hive without some serious modification (for all the very good reasons General Frank mentioned).

    It can also be considered dishonest, especially if duplicitous means were brought about to gain access to said files.

    Great work on the Lich King Unleashed model. I really like the idea of the Lich King actually taking physical form and fighting guys mano-a-mano. Good work!

    I'll try again to see if I manage to do it right. Because theres no tutorial here to attach vertices to bones properlly without screwing animations.

    Mdlivis can do that. Modules > Sequence Editor. It's very easy to figure it out. You can download it here: http://xgm.guru/p/wc3/mdlvis-english/download

    Make a folder and place .exe into it, then copy n paste storm.dll and ijl15.dll from your main War3 folder to Mdlivis folder. :)

    Well, I've done the same process, and for sure it will not work, because the WoW version have a lot of bones that the Wc3 version doesn't have. Maybe someone more expert in this can help.

    Wow that's really cool. I love anime as well. I also enjoy watching films! I'm actually in school majoring in film and I enjoy acting whether it's theater or film acting
    Oh. I see but I don't want that as I quite like the upgrade birth animations. I Just want to change the primary one so it fits my theme. I think if it had the green birth on all the birth animations it wouldn't be what I'm going for as I'm not trying to copy the undead 100%
    Yea, I see what you mean. Though is it necessary to manipulate all three births? I'm only hoping to get the primary birth to have the effect, not the upgrade births.
    Ah, well the reason I wanted the birth to be like this is for my Burning Legion map. I wanted to create the visual of these buildings being teleported in while being built (similar to protoss in Starcraft) as the Burning Legion is known to have this technology. That is why I use the custom birth link as it does a good job of showing that! That is why I'm so happy that you did this request for me! Truthfully I had been trying for months to get it done DX

    I want to show you my map when its ready. I think then you'll see what I am going for =)

    Also completely my fault that I forgot to mention what color I wanted the birth to be. Do you think that you could make them all green instead of greenish blue? So that it matches my birth effect, which is this:

    Lastly, it is unfortunate that you couldn't do the demon bastion =\ .I kind of expected that one to be the hardest out of all of them so I totally understand. The model isn't mine but I have permission to edit it however I want. With that being said if you feel that the geosets should be reduced then you're more than welcome to!

    XD actually nope, that model (the worgen lieutienant) was made by an user from other site, but he deleted it before release, and then quit from WC3 modelling :c, so there are only the screenshots of his works; about the tail, maybe just an static tail, with no animation
