  • I would like to make alignments for the map
    Either classifying every Evil unit as Undead and make the Holy Light spell somekind of purify like in WBC
    Or maybe make something about extra damage, but I have to see how to implement that

    I commented on the resource, tagge him on the forum, and posted on his profile - im pretty sure he just doesnt care
    Also he has a problem with me, with my method in general to create icons becaue I do not provide him with wips or layer work most of the time, mostly because I work in real size and I don't create my icons thinking "hey lets save the damn layerwork for Sin' to be happy about his life".

    depends on the icon, if it's for a skin or a model, you can use screenshot, so layers wouldn't be much of use here. Otherwise 90% of models would be without icons as only few modelers can do 2D. Skinners are usually more gifted at this, but they shouldn't be forced to freehand either.

    He has a problem with one of my methods to do icons. For some of my icons (to make them quick for my projects) I use other blizzard icons from a huge library of them I have, then I mix them, cut them, etc, paint over them, and create something new, check the icon section and you will see the orbs, which I made using that method, have you seen any of them before? nop. The only one I didn't made like that was the lightning orb, which I made by magnifying another icon of mine hahaha (microskills rules).
    You will hardly see anyone else using this method because it requires microskills and a huge library of images.

    I tried to do some c++ via visual studio, but it was quite tedious, even though was console application, can't imagine what would be a windowed one.
    Nope, Im making an altered melee map with a desert theme, and I want an Sphinx for it (maybe as a hero or as a Merc).
    I will also add a Sandman, and some snakes hahaha

    The Tempest tells the story of a powerful magician (and former nobleman) using illusion and manipulation. There is a shipwreck (sort of) on a remote island, the deformed resentful son of a cruel sorceress, a slightly comic air spirit, treacherous brothers, the son of a king, and more.
    Thanks for the rep. I haven't thought about that map for so long. Ever since it was substandardized I lost hope in it. And no I did not fix the issue since I gave up on it. Now that I am think of it, I could remake it...

    I finally played it (I was replacing the disk so I couldn't), yeah, it's not really a good map, many things make little sense, sure fire rate was slow, but so was the sword swinging rate. And gattling isn't really fast firing

    Yea, as I look back at it I should fix it some time. It was one of my first maps when I was still learning the program (And I still have some things to learn about it). Maybe I'll return to it, fix it, and see how it goes. At the moment though, that wont happen for a while.

    it's mostly trial and error, I usually never bothered with attachments, if it worked with special effect it was okay for me, never planned it for weapons though.

    I call this way a terrain which has narrow passages twisting on the map, trying to make full use avalaible map space, separated by natural barriers like cliffs, woods or any kind of natural doodads. Usually these terrains have only few crossroads and ground distance from A to B is usually much longer than air distance.

    it would feel more natural IMO. Now it has that 'railroad' feel. Although I literally use railroads in some of my maps :D

    Making a mod requires a lot more than one can think it does, and usually takes a lot longer time than thought too.
    To answer your rep question: Yes, they use the Spruce Tree model by HerrDave, tinted a little bit to let them fit better in the tileset. X3 Thanks for stopping by and checking the project out, btw!

    I use them in my map, but I need to replace them, because I need something more fitting to a swamp, but I used his just because everyone taking look at my map was like 'lol ur using herrdaves models', so I continued to use more of his models
    Hey! Saw what u wrote in the rep message. The path might be a bit narrow, but its meant to be like that. As for the swordsman, i intend to add an ability in the future, probably some sort of passive, not sure yet... Cant say for how long... it's hard to work during school time, and Im alone... I'll need to organize myself and maybe get a team toghether to help me out.
